That's why we never give up :) Great news
Ali
Excellent news!! If I had been searching for her at the time she was lost though I wouldn't have looked twice as her "similar dog" picture looks nothing like her!

Well done , thank goodness for good people & an up to date Chip!

Many Spaniels have been stolen & perhaps certain sites should be checked, but you do need help from the Police and a Fab Dogwarden .Last edited: 2017-08-24 11:26:00 by Reynard

Fantastic news! So happy for Kizzie's owners.
Goes to show how much difference it makes when a dog has a microchip.
Well done to Guildford Borough Council Dog Warden Peter. Lovely guy who really cares about finding stolen dogs.

Would be so lovely if Fern was found next .. her owners will never give up on finding her either.

ohhh, Yet ANOTHER Safely Home tonight -1st we read the breaking news over on Facebook that Cocker PUP #MIKAISHOME xx & now - a long-term Stolen Furbaby IS back Home Where She rightfully belongs
I SINCERELY HOPE that Her recent 'owners' have ANSWERS to several QUESTIONS about Where/How/Why they 'acquired' Her
If they are 'genuinue' owners who bought Her in all 'innocence' then they SHOULD HAVE taken Her to a Vet to be Scanned / checked over - unless of course they DID this & the VET didn't !!!
Welcome Home Gorgeous Girl - May Your Delighted Owners & You - Sleep VERY Well tonight x

I think we are all confused, so I am hoping Alison can help as she put this dog on site.

Confused !! Kizzie didn't go missing with a dog called fern!!
DogLostOwl
This one was moved to reunited but has been put back again to stolen. Not sure if this is a glitch in the system, or if 2 dogs of that name were mixed up. Have left a message for Alison Hall in the hope that she can sort this out.

Kizzie has been reunited :) Congratulations to all concerned x

From Guildford Borough Council page: Long lost dog reunited with owner thanks to microchip and Council’s dog warden!

We were recently able to reunite one happy owner with her dog, Kizzy, which had been stolen over four years ago. Kizzy’s owner, Wendy Barnes, never gave up hope of one day being reunited with her pet, and was delighted to receive a call from Peter Burnage, our dog warden earlier this week.

Wendy explained: “When I got the call, I broke down in tears. I had to explain to the other people around that it was good news I had received! I never gave up hope. Never, thank you for all your help. My local Police as well, you have all been fantastic”.

While searching for another lost dog, Kizzy was found chained up in a yard locally by our dog warden and Surrey Police. Her microchip revealed her to be stolen.

Dog warden Peter said: “It was a very emotional reunion, it is always amazing to see dogs and owners reunited. Kizzy recognised Wendy after just a few seconds. I think we all had a lump in our throats. Four years is a long time, but this is a great example of how microchipping is a permanent way of identifying pets. We haven’t found Fern yet, but the search continues here and in other Boroughs. I urge anyone with information about potentially stolen dogs to come forward.”Last edited: 2017-08-23 19:31:39 by csquaredb
