- Owners car was car no. 38 and Boyce was found in car no.42!
- 2013-09-05 17:15 Tiga
- We were actually taken on the bridge to Boyce such was their help - they were just fantastic, they had water for Boyce, kept him in the shade of a fire engine, they made a lead out of a bandage! We cannot thank them enough.
- 2013-09-05 16:53 Sherlock Bones Police Liaison Co-ordinator
- I've sent an email to the Sgt of the officer on scene to thank him for his assistance. Always great when you find a dog loving officer and thank goodness they looked and brought him down to you.

- What a happy ending. I was alerted this morning by Owl and after a few calls was on my way with Tiga to track Boyce escorted by Julie and her husband via. En route we received phone calls from Kent Police firstly to say a tan staffie was seen running around fields and then back on bridge amongst the aftermath of the tragedy this morning. Not sure of all the details as it was so busy but we had a police escort to the top of the bridge where we were met by Boyce who had been found by the fire brigade/police in the footwell of car no 42. I scanned Boyce just to confirm it was him and that no other dog was on the loose as we were initially led to believe he was seen running across fields. We cannot thank the Kent fire brigade and Kent Police enough as if not found he could have ended up on a transport and would have cooked - we saw 99 numbered cars for right off! It is not known if car no 42 was the owners car or not. Our best wishes go out to the Boyce's daddy who was cut out of the car and taken to a London hospital. After a number of interviews at the scene we reunited Boyce with the daughter who immediately took him to the vet for a check up as he had a cut lip and stiff back legs and needed to be checked for any internal injuries but his tail was wagging and he was glad to be with people he knew. A reunited photo has been sent. I am so glad there was only one dog involved.

- Wasn't me Jayne! I was sitting in my cosy office.... this whole saga was started by BB451, who is one of my fab Kent Coordinators and she was able to direct our lovely helpers Julia and her hubby and Jenny to the site. The Police on site were approached by Julia and they escorted them to the site of where they were holding Boycie so that he could be scanned. That was done and they called CJ who checked the chip number with Petlog, who confirmed it was him. I just kept abreast of it all.
