Kimmybear's asked if I would post a comment on her behalf, she is away at the moment.

Kimmybear is so very happy that Velma is home safe and sound.
Well done to those who helped & especially owner, Nick who never gave up despite some awful ordeals to get through.

Kisses and cuddles to Velma from Kimmybear xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

would it be better to describe Velma in breed as a Dachshund cross as you've described her in other info. Hope you get some news soon.

Nick, Tara has a point in her post below - worth a check and a few posters. Both areas. x

Excellent! Now do the scenting as per advice I sent you, Nick. Get your other dog to walk there. Remember they do a triangle shape, which will come to light the more sightings you get. Poster more here and further out - the public will be your eyes. Fab news. Well done! Keep us posted. Bumping. x

That's good news that she has been spotted. I noticed on Google maps that there is a Nature reserve and church on the corner, St Mary Magadalne. Ive heard a lot of dogs like to hide out graveyards as they are secluded etc. May be worth having a word with the people in charge of both places in case she is about there hiding. Good luck !
Nick
a positive sighting of Velma crossing High Street South and heading south.
I think she is hiding between High Street south and Goosley Park and am concentrating my searches there.
Thanks to everyone for their help and wishes for Velma.

Owners have contacted me; they are doing everything they can to find Velma. She is a rescue dog from Croatia - had a bad life before coming to her forever home. Her dog sister is trying to track her and hopefully Velma will also track her sister back. She is scared so possibly still hiding in area. Velma was lost by accident as her lead was clipped to tag instead of link (I've done that) and she chased a squirrel and got free. Dense woodland. Very sad. Please, please can people help search and poster for Velma. She is a very scared little girl. Do NOT chase but call owner immediately if seen. x

I've sent an email with advice. Thanks Tara. x

Hi there Definately get some posters out and about. I dont know whereabouts you are, but also ask in some local shops if they will put some up. As they have a lot of people going in out all the time.If someone have taken her in they may see the poster and phone you
Also you say she was lost near Central Park, get some around that area and see if there is a park keeper/warden etc......
Here is the Newham Dog wardens number 0208 586 97 39

Good luck
Gino
