Thanks Lakeland for the update. So pleased he has settled in and got his feet under the table. x
Lakeland
Glad you like the photo! He's been with us a week now but it feels like forever! He's got his feet well and truly under the table now! He's a gem! Don't know what I would do with out him although I don't think my other dog would agree she is taking her time to come round to him although I think she secretly loves him too! X
Unknown

Lakeland, THANKS so much for the message that you had rehomed him and for posting an update on here. I have owned GSD's myself since 1980 and know how loyal they are and such a loyal one man person dog. He would of got a home as so many people have been interested in him. You are so lucky and thank you for giving LEELAND a forever home. :) Would be great to have photo/s of him in his new home. xxx

Netta-B Sorry you missed out too. Never mind, at least he has a new loving home, where he sounds very relaxed already, which is great. Lakeland. Thank you so much for updating us on Leeland. He is one handsome canine:-)

Just to let you know Leeland has settled in just fine, dog groomer called to the house yesterday & pampered him he loved every minute of it! At present he's lying in front of the fire without a care in the world! I'm extremely lucky to have him as part of my family! Xxxx

He has now been REHOMED. :)

Good luck gorgeous boy in your new home. No doubt there has been a lot of interest in him and his new family are so lucky to have been picked. MANY THANKS to EVERYONE who tried to find his family. xxx
ClaireC
Good Luck Netty-B in your quest of a possible rehoming. Stunning looking dog and hope that a suitable home for him can be found if not with you xx
Unknown
Netty-B I hope you are successful in wanting to rehome this boy, especially as you have experience of the breed. Sounds, and looks like a lovely dog. Keep us posted.
Netty-B
He looks lovely and as i lost my gsd a short while ago to bone cancer, i must say i am tempted to rehome him. It`s a long way from where i live but will ring kennels for more info, as now have another dog and would need to know what he is like with others etc.

Sucg a shame his owner cannot be traced. I wish people would update their pets microchip if their circumstances change. He does look very well cared for. It could be possible that his owner has passed away, and relatives have just abandoned him. I know for a fact that this has happened before. Whoever takes him on I am sure they will not regret it. He looks like a lovely, .lovely boy. Keep us posted.

Thanks for everyone's concern. We cannot go into the background too much but we can assure you his owner cannot be found from the previous address. It is always a worry when dogs are found as we know owners could be on holiday. He has gone passed his 7 days and he has not been reported missing. Lots of people have helped to try and find his owner or possibly carer.

If anyone is interested in him they need to contact the kennels direct (contact number above). We are only sharing the details.
Clare
Yes Nikki i was just about to say the same thing, maybe the solicitor could be asked to contact the family without giving out any info but if they have moved a while ago its a long shot. It seems such a short time before rehoming as the owner may be on holiday and completely unaware. I know they should have updated the chip details but he is obviously well cared for. Hope he finds a lovely home.
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
Mathers, I'm a solicitor myself so understand data protection but if someone contacted me at work in this situation I would personally try to contact them myself using the details held on file (if still correct) but not give the info I held out. I would like to think others would also be willing to help. I hope this one finds a new home with someone who will value him enough to keep the microchip details up to date x
mathers22
Been a Legal Secretary for years the Solicitors wouldn't hand this information out because of Data Protection xx

He was originally chipped to an address in UPTON CH49 address was visited by a DL helper, owner moved a few years ago and current homeowner did not purchase the house from them. As no-one has come forward for him he will be rehomed. Whoever takes him on is very lucky he is such a lovely boy. xxx
Nikki (Tyler's mum)
The new home owners should have received a bundle of deeds when they purchased. I wonder if in those deeds was the name of the solicitors who acted for the owners if the GSD and if they brought another house then files have to be kept for 15/16 years so new address would be in there. It's a lot of work but possible.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
The owners moved years ago. :( The current homeowners did not purchase the house from the GSD's owner.
ClaireC
I wonder if the local Post Office had a forwarding address for his previous owner(s)! Stunning dog.

Shared on DogLost Wales FB Group. Hope the owners come forward for this gorgeous lad.

Many thanks to the helper for following it up and calling to the address, greatly appreciated. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Helper has called to the registered chip address and they are not who he was rehomed to, they moved into the property in the past few years and do not have a forwarding address for the previous owner. Waiting game now that his current owner gets in touch soon. They could be on holiday and he is being cared for and got out. x
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Details have been getting followed up and we will let you know a.s.a.p. if there is any news. Thanks again to everyone for their help. x

Have registered this gorgeous boy on behalf of his finder.

Found this morning running on main roads, in the Blackpool area, he is MICROCHIPPED however registered to a Liverpool number which when calling the land line comes up 'have wrong number'. The mobile number is no longer active.

He has now been taken to the stray kennels who have posted his details on their page (link and contact number above).

Keeping everything crossed he is back home soon. x
