- HALTON DOG WARDEN (FREE MICROCHIPPING)
Microchipping
We now provide a microchipping scheme designed to safeguard your pet dog; it provides permanent identification free of charge for Halton residents.
The chip, about the size of a grain of rice, is quickly implanted and carries a unique number that is recorded on a national database. If the owner of the dog which has been picked up by the dog warden can be identified the dog will be returned free of charge to their homes on the first occasion of straying. In cases where the owner or keeper cannot be contacted, the dog will be taken to kennels.
Micro-chipping of dogs is free of charge to Halton residents. If you would like one of our dog wardens to microchip your dog please complete the Microchipping online form.
