It's a bit of a longshot due to the distance, but Chester Vets4Pets have taken in a young long-haired black female cat today.

I have alerted Fluff's owner to this cat (just in case she's had a lift xx)

hia , yep ive done all the suggestions . we no longer think that was our cat as ive been posting flyers and had a call saying there was 1 in there garden near where we seen it . i went round and it wasnt ares , it was just the same only different colour eyes and bigger . our estate is basically circled by wooded area , which we have walked through both daytime and night . the only other sighting was on tuesday morning , by someone we know . its only across the road and ive seen her go that way myself , so we walked taht way monday night and spoke to a woman who thinks its was my cat that had been coming to her house over the last few weeks before she went missing , and she had been leaving food out aswell . so i put posters up there but someone has taken them down , but only there .. all the others are still up , and they were all very secure , with tape wound round the lampost over the poster . ive just got a feeling now that someone has her . i phoned local vets ,rspca and cpl a few days ago and left details ,but ill follow it up again tommorow . the only number ive not rang is the council to see if any reports were made after a accident , i dont want to hear the worst . ive scattered biscuts over my garden and on the walk , also my hoover bag contents . its like she just vanished , and im gutted x

So sorry to hear Fluff is missing. Catchat website has a great action plan of things you can or should do. Many of these will be the same as for finding a lost dog, - but link is here if there is anything you haven't thought of yet -http://www.catchat.org/lost.html

They have some ideas of things you can try when you're searching. Have you tried rattling a box of biscuits or her normal food when you are out searching, or rustling a food pouch if she is used to those. If she likes bell toys, or squeaky toys she may come for a play if she's not far away.

They also have a list of local rescues all of who might be contacted if a cat is found - http://www.catchat.org/adoption/ches.html

I also assume you have contacted all your local vets - make sure they all get her details. Cats tend to travel a little less than dogs so lots of fliers through local doors can be really effective.

If it was her you saw close to home - I'm sure it won't be long before she finds her way home for some food. Good luck with your hunt. x

hi , im fluffs owner . we have been going out everynight looking for her , we went last night and put posters up and we are 99% sure we seen her . her tails pretty distingtive with it being bushy . she was basically 30mtrs or so from our house with some other cats . but my partner startled her she kept stopping but then shot over someones back garden . she stopped on the fence and looked at us which is when we could see her tail properly . i always call her pepe le pu from a old cartoon , which was about a skunk with a bushy tail and thats what she looks like when she runs . this was on hallwood park avenue , on the corner of falcons way . she shot in the end bungalows garden . ive put posters up along there , plus spoke to a resident who doesnt know of any black cats like her living in any of them houses .
