There is a black white and tan dog pictured at Leigh (Not Alfie as has white to face) Just wondering could this be the dog thats being reported in Farnworth (I doubt it as quite different)

Had a drive round the area (Lower Broughton) where I spotted the dog I think was Alfie, No signs at all.

With sightings coming in, It is very possible there are a couple of dogs roaming that look very similar as he would be covering some distance (Especially within the time frames)

This a huge ask, But if anyone in the Salford, Manchester, Bolton area can help by printing a few posters and putting them up it would be of great help to Alfies owner, He doesnt have access to a computer or the internet and his daughter who I am dealing with is up in Scotland. This dog could be anywhere from Bolton, Salford and Manchester . Link to his dog lost page (Access poster from there) http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=57766

comment from owner's daughter
"He is not microchipped. My dad was walking him on Reddish Vale and sat down on a bench to rest while Alfie wandered about when he went to shout him Alfie never came back and he always does. Turns out a couple picked him up thinking he was lost then handed him over to the out of hours dog warden later that evening all the while my dad is still looking for him on the vale for 4 hours. The dog warden was taking him to some kennels in Tyldsley when he opened the door Alfie shot past him and escaped, then you saw him in Bolton. My dads been to Manchester dogs home every day and went to Leigh dogs and cats home yesterday. I put a picture on RSPCA Stockport on facebook this is how I knew Alfie had been picked up, then I phoned the dog warden service this is how I found out he'd escaped. So it was Sunday 22/9/13 when he was first lost. The couple may of meant well but they should of made sure Alfie wasn't on his own its not been fair on my dad"

Just emailed owner's daughter to get exact details of where and when lost and of chipped. Number 1 is the owner's number and the 07955 035306 is mine as I am self employed and on the road all over Manchester every day so if someone calls in I can get over there if nearby

The sighting on Frederick road was by myself this morning (27/09) I did try to get the dog I saw into the car but it was having none of it. Have been through a few of the details of the dog that I saw (Rough age / collar ) and all seems to match Alfie , Please keep your eyes peeled for him
Scoobster
It appears Alfie may have been missing for about a week prior to the 23rd, I cannot get exact details as yet as owners are out looking around the Frederick road area, Will update as soon as I can
