  • Where Found Ashcombe park, Weston Super mare,North Somerset, by children of a family who live a few doors away from my home- I suspect the family will not have checked for ownership
  • Found In Region South West
  • Found In Post Area BS22
  • Date Reunited
  • Other Info the family who have the dog have asbos etc, but have told other neighbours the kids found the dog as a stray in the park-I am worried that owners will be searching-but doubt if the family will do anything to trace the owners and will just keep it-looks in very good condition-I do not wish to approach them as I fear they will just let it go in the park-looks like a pure bred beagle, but could be a cross-red collar-but don't know if found with that on

today the North Somerset Council dog warden collected the dog from the family-phew-so at least it will be scanned and properly looked after until either the owners are found or it is re-homed-I will update you if I get any further news as I work for the council ( social services dept)

neighbours have confirmed that the dog is a male-so sorry-owners of Bella and that the collar that is on him is frayed, so may have been tethered somewhere- it was in the park for 3-4 hrs, so may have been left by holiday makers, as no posters have been put up in the park asking for it and they got it last Wednesday or Thursday apparently. I have asked in the woods nearby and none of the regulars know of a missing beagle. I have completed an online form for the council dog warden, so hopefully they will take it up on Monday

Have left message on voicemail of owner of Bella, lost ref 47212 to check this one out. Fingers crossed.
