After the worse 11 days of my life not knowing where Mardi was, if she was dead or alive, if someone had her if they were taking care of her, I finally got her back. When I hold her in my arms again it was the most amazing feeling ever.
I must thank all of you at Doglost, you are incredible, without your help I don't think we would have cope, your advice was invaluable.
Mardi is gone through a lot too, because the people that had her did not take care of her, she is all bones, but she is home, and with lots of TLC , she will be soon back to be herself.
Karen you gave me hope, you are amazing, there should be more people in this world like you.
Thank you to all of you from Mardi. x

Saw this on Hemel Hempstead Remembered & then saw a poster while out walking my dogs on Pennine Way field tonight. We are up there twice a day & the regular dog walkers are aware. Has the Dog Warden been told & has Cherry Tree Lane travellers site been checked and postered nearby? We are in HP2, where and how did she go missing? May also be worth talking to the local PCSO as I know a local Neighbourhood Watch coordinator was recently sent a warning about dogs being stolen locally.

I have just being to the Marlows , I put this morning over 70 posters up, I even approached all the taxi drivers queuing to get a fair, and gave the a poster. One of them was very helpful and told me of a Facebook page called Hemel remembered , which has just under 5000 members. I sent a request to be accepted , and then I will be able to post the poster
I any of you would like to help us postering . Please let me know i can print some for you.
Thank you so much.Last edited: 2013-10-08 15:31:29 by Hope

8 days and still no news, is so,so, so hard, I have called all the vets in the area plus Redbourn, we keep postering everyday, today I saw in the Highfield area that some of the posters had being taken down, I don't understand why anybody would want to do that, we can't stop until we find her. I hope who ever has got her has the heart to give her back to us, she is a family member.

I have been to see Mardi's owner, there is a lot of postering going on but as yet no confirmed sightings the one in highfield was'nt a positive sighting so we have nothing to go on. I have advised owner to ring round all the vets and dog homes the highways agency the railways and such like. I think it's looking more and more likely that someone has her there is a reward being offered hopefully this will work. I have got very strong ideas of where she could be but apparently without any evidence nothing can be done people that live in this area will know what i'm talking about, so without a positive sighting or someone coming forward it seems like a waiting game at the moment. If anyone has any ideas please post them or get in contact with me

Thank you so much for all your help. Is a week today and we are heart broken, Mardi is not just. Dog for us she is a family member. In her first year of life, she help me to overcome , what it could have being a deadly illness. She is so special to me, being disable, she is my most faithful companion.
Thank you Karen so much for all your help, you are amazing.

I have been helping owners with postering the area. The owners are out daily looking for Mardi. Posters are out in abundance around Highfield, Grovehill, Gadebridge Park and Woodhall Farm, around schools and on bustops. Also posters in Grovehill and Woodhall Farm Community Centre and the local dump on the Ind area as this where she may have come thru via the Nicky Line. There was a sighting in Highfield on Monday afternoon, but since then nothing. They have put something in the local paper so hopefully that will bring some news. Sadly a body was seen by the link road (thought to be a cat) on Tues morning - I have checked the area and nothing there and have contacted the Council Waste that deal with this and they have no knowledge of this. Perhaps a cat knocked over and found by owners and buried in their garden? Still looking and hoping.
