Hi Emma1, so pleased you have your girls back home safe. Welcome home Bella and Izzy.
When you registered with doglost, there is a box you can tick to 'receive alerts/posters' by email. Make sure the box is ticked.

When dogs go missing in your area you will receive by email an alert about the missing dog. You can then help poster and search if you are available to do so at that time.
Welcome on board :) xLast edited: 2013-10-06 14:31:18 by BBKM

Izzy and Bella have been found safe and well this morning by my father in law!! We are so relieved! Thanks so much for all your help and searching - its amazed me how kind people can be to give up their time for others! Not sure how you can go about volunteering but I will definitely be doing so - one of the worst feelings losing your dog. Dogs are now busy sleeping like nothing has happened - little do they know the trouble they have caused everyone! :) Thanks again

I hope if they have then they would do the right thing and hand them in. This morning i drove along the stanley to consett road, i went along to the small ind. Est at royal mail and checked there, i drove the back road from the pavillion and went along stoney heap way, i stopped and kept checking but also scnured the fields with my binoculars. I checked the thomas swan est, parked down by lilydale pet shop at delves and walked up the back path to behind tesco, walked along the road that runs below consett medical centre and then up onto the football/playing field, checked all round the field and went to the sty that goes into the wood and was calling their names there. And then walked same route back to the car. Have been asking other dog wakers etc to keep an eye out. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Many thanks for all the below comments. Both dogs are still missing, we are continuing to look all hours of the day however think they may have been picked up by someone therefore any information would be massively appreciated. We are also offering a reward for their safe return. We are totally devastated and praying they are found and returned safe and well very soon.

I have a 9 year old cocker who is scared of her own shadow, so i know how horrified i would be if i knew she was out on her own. I am up at first light on a morning when there's less traffic and people about so it may be a bit easier x

I saw your post on AA Petsevices Vikx, I would say even if there are plenty of people looking then another set of eyes won't hurt, just remember to take contact details for the owners and give them a ring asking them for advice ie where they are missing from, where they have looked and what hasn't been covered yet, and a softly softly approach if you see them- they may be timid but a lot of cocker spaniels are very food orientated so a smelly tasty treat might help win them over.again- ask the owner for advice. x

Offered to go and search, however was told by aa petservices that it was ok and not to bother as there were plenty of people looking. I will only have tomorrow to look before i am back to work monday so if anyone else can let me know anything different then please do and i will be there bright and early in the morning, anything to see them re- united as if it was me i'd be heartbroken.
