Heartbreaking. I am so very sorry and my thoughts are with the family at this sad time, who have now laid Polly to rest in a spot where she loved to run. Run free at the bridge, beautiful Polly, where my four springers will be waiting to play xxx.

Hi the spaniel at bridport was defiantly liver and white. But I have had a look into a rescue for

No sightings of lost/found dog near Taunton Racecourse but contact there has very kindly put leaflets out and put Polly on facebook too.

Still searching, don't think dog at racecourse was Polly but have contacted Racecourse and waiting reply. Friends in Taunton keeping a look out.

It is a long way but a similar dog found in Banbury today, cant properly compare pics on phone, have sent finder Pollys poster, cant share link either but pic is on the Facebook group pets lost & found in Banbury *finder confirms not Polly

Does not sound like Polly, who is a small build and has a half docked tail. She is only happy with family and is nervous with new surroundings and strangers. I will ask a friend near Taunton to keep an eye out anyway. Taunton is about 15+ miles, so seems a bit far away. On boarder with Dorset and Devon and neither of those dog wardens have had any sightings. Have put posters out and even asked postman, also posted on facebook. No sightings, have been looking for 4 days.

Hi Natalie, I am sure that this is probably totally unconnected, however when I was driving home from Taunton past the Racecourse last night (Corfe Road) at about 6.30 pm there was a black and white springer running in the road. It ran from the racecourse up the road a short distance and then found a gap in the hedge leading into the car park. The dog was fairly large build with a tail. As the animal appeared happy and to know where it was going I wasn't that concerned at the time and assumed it was either a local farm dog or its owner was nearby. Just thought I'd mention it after seeing your post. Cheers Mac

I know someone at Chaard Junction, so will email them. Is the transport depot still there? The lorry drivers would be good people to pass posters to and they can network to other drivers. Get plenty of posters printed off and put up in the area, then if she is spotted the people will know.

As far as we are aware she is missing, she never normally goes far from the farmhouse and stays with our other dog and tends to be wary of strangers but we cant rule out that she was taken.
