rottie
no owner as yet, she is due to be signed over to the gsd rescue on friday, any interested parties please go onto www.germanshepherdrescue.co.uk and go to adoption section and then fill in adoption form, there is an adoption fee however anyone wanting this lovely dog i am sure will happily pay it, the gsd rescue have been fantastic from the beginning with this and i am sure will make sure the correct home is found for this girl. The contact i have is Michelle on 01159899764. all the adoption fees go to helping other shepherds so even if Velvet rehomed i am sure lots of others just as lovely looking for homes. All the staff at the GSD rescue are voluntees. Oh yes, even got the little white on chest that groenendaels can have. They are often mistaken for gsd.

Not caitlin, she doesn't have any white on her chest :-(Last edited: 2013-10-29 10:52:45 by MillieVW - Area Volunteer - West Wiltshire

We will get a photo up as soon as we can. The dog became very agitated so could not be examined or scanned. He/she is now in kennels doing 7 days then will be going to a local GSD rescue. I will keep this page updated as I get more info. Hope we can at least confirm gender before the day is out.

Dog gave a tail wag once safely at vets, was fine with everyone and is probably relieved not to be dicing with death along the A52. Will keep you updated.

Safely trapped at 3 a.m. this morning. Congratulations to everyone who took part in this superb team effort! Thank you Vicky for your patient work and hours spent waiting, Paul for turning out at 3 to transport trap containing dog to the vet, to vet surgery at Heanor for taking charge of dog until warden arrives, to a local GSD rescue for offering a place if owner not found, and to the wonderful local people who helped out in so many ways and were watching the trap at unearthly hours. Vicky thinks this is a female but could not be sure. Will update once we know.
Carol
Good luck to u all xxxx

Sighted in fields opposite Kirb Langley school this morning.
Esther
Good luck tonight Rottie fingers crossed
DogLostOwl
Thank you Esther. Rottie tells me it looks like a GSD rather than a GSD x. Some of the people who first saw it, I believe saw it when soaked through and slicked down so may have looked smaller.
Clare
Well done everyone helping this poor dog. Good luck x
Esther
I have asked some of the farmers in this area to get back to me if they see this dog. But not to approach it.
Caz
Thank you for trying to help this poor dog, Hope you catch him soon, what with the weather turning nasty.

Thank you Esther. Dog is based around Kirk Langley so about 6 miles from you. Please contact Vicky on the mobile number above, she will be able to tell you more.
Esther
We farm at Sutton on the Hill, is this dog now close to us? Can I be of help
DogLostOwl
I have bumped this to top as there are some developments. The dog is now moving around within a particular area and is taking food. He/she really wants to come in but keeps losing nerve or getting spooked. An excellent team of helpers, Facebook folk and various local residents is on the case and working round the clock. So please do not chase this dog but call the number above if you get a sighting. Thank you.
DogLostOwl
Please do not go towards or even make eye contact with this dog, who is running scared. Leave some food if you have some, and call Vicky on the number given.Last edited: 2013-10-16 01:04:00 by Owl
