- Thank you for all congratulations :) As you can imagine we are all in absolute disbelief and completely over the moon.
She has been checked by vet and she seems ok, just very skinny so just have to feed her up little and often. She had some chicken and crackers and big drink and went to bed only to come running down the stairs when mum cooked some sausages for her.
Now relaxing on her favourite seat in the window.
All so relieved and looking forward to first proper sleep in 11 nights!
Again, massive thank you to Jenny and Tiga who kept us hopeful and walked so so many miles with us searching for her. True heroes the pair of them!!!!

- 2013-11-04 11:18 cwoffindale
- Thank you all so so so much, I cannot thank yo uenough for all of your help and support and advice.
Jenny and Tiga have been absolutely fantastic and I cannot thank them enough. Jenny really held us together when we were completely falling apart and I cannot recommend Tiga highly enough. He is an absolute superstar and gave me so many cuddles when completely devastated.
Mum and Jenny went up to the moor where Rosie was last seen on Monday at 6.30am this morning in Jenny's motorhome and cooked sausages to try and tempt her out. They saw her lower down in a carpark so went calling. She darted off a bit to start with but then realised was my mum and ran to her. She is very skinny as you'd expect from 11 days but seems ok.
Lovely Jenny lent Rosie her jacket and then straight into her little greyhound jumper to keep her warm and trip to vets to check her over.
I have the photos of little Rosie so can send them if you let me know where best to send or should I just update pictures.
Again thank you so so so much to all of you. We are absolutely all completely over the moon and I just hope everyone with lost dogs at the moment can have the same end result.
Huge thank you again to Jenny and Tiga who have spent nearly 5 days with us holding us together and giving us hope and finally reuniting us with our little girl.
Thank you all.

- K9tracker just called me. She and Tiga went out with the owners this morning and they found Rosie a few minutes ago. She is very thin and cold so they are hurrying back to get her into the warm.

- Wonder where Rosie is finding food, I don't know the area (I'm an Essex old girl) may be worth postering any "places" where strong food smells come from ie pubs, retaurants, roadside burger type vans etc. I noticed there's a school in Ilsington wonder if it would be worth contacing them to ask the children to keep a look out for her. Hope you get another sighting soon.
- 2013-11-02 23:06 Kinsally
- Your so welcome cwoffindale, yes Maria's story is so encouraging & it made me think of her when I read about Rosie missing. Fingers crossed for you wishing you the very best of luck xx
- 2013-11-02 22:55 Esther
- Really hope for good news soon, sorry I am to far away to help
- 2013-11-02 22:41 cwoffindale
- Thank you Kinsally for kind words and advice and for linking me to Maria, what an encouraging tale and so pleased she was finally reunited.
I definitely think staying out to watch sounds a great idea. We have just stayed out until about 1am so far as we had quite a few sightings at 12 but I think camping out to watch is our next step. I think we will have to try staying in both places as at the moment no idea if she is back in Ilsington or back down in the woods. Food is going in Ilsington but pretty sure that is being taken by cats but continue to fill it in hope she is coming by and getting some food.
Will keep you updated with any progress.
Thank you again. - 2013-11-02 21:48 Kinsally
- Thank you for the update cwoffindale you are doing an amazing job trying to find Rosie & working so hard. Posters, leaflets, the bed & feeding stations are all the right things. I do think Rosie maybe lying low during the day & coming out during the night. Is there any chance you could camp out in a car in this area & just keep watch? This just brings back memories of Maria id 53923 that went unseen for so long & was eventually caught after an amazing stake out during the night which confirmed she was still in the area when it was so uncertain if she was. Even a tent maybe worth considering perhaps if you cannot drive onto this area. I just wish I was near to help you but you & Rosie are constantly in my thoughts xx

- Thank you for your helpful update.
- 2013-11-02 17:38 cwoffindale
- Thank you all for support and advice. We are so desperate to find her and bring her home.
Owl - I am not sure if this is the same sighting that I tried to update in the message below or if this is a new sighting that was called in somewhere else.
The last sighting we have been told about is on Monday 28th Oct on the New Park static homes estate (apparently they are not strictly retirement homes, oops!)
Unfortunately, we do not know the time or exact location within the estate as one of the staff passed on to me that a construction worker saw her on Monday and tried to catch her but she ran off again but didn't know more details.
Tiga tracked us on the entrance road and on a drive opposite but street cleaners had cleaned so may have lost the scent before we got to the estate. Hopefully when Tiga returns tomorrow/Monday we can try again in the area.
We have also set up a bed and new feeding station in the woods near to where she was last with us and will continue to keep this stocked with food and our clothing and her blankets in case she then makes it back into the woods as they are just down the road from the New Park area. She is covering some distance as she was seen many times in Ilsington up to Sunday night 11pm only to return back down to the road backing onto the wods where she disppeared on Monday.
We have covered the woods today and also walked up to Ilsington and the moor and back down another possible route towards the plantation woods and New Park in case she was about but unfortunately no sign.
Friends have leafleted the area in which she was last seen and have walked about spreading the word more. She has now been on the radio and Exeter paper is going to print a story on her.
Any more advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.
We will continue to search the plantation woods and Ilsington tomorrow. If anyone is in the area and has some time free and willing to search any extra eyes very much appreciated. - 2013-11-02 13:30 Esther
- Really hope she is back soon
- 2013-11-02 10:22 Kinsally
- Really praying for some good news & that lovely Rosie can be found. Her owners are working so hard to find her fingers crossed for them that there will be another sighting & can concentrate on that area. Then perhaps that portable bbq set up tempting smells of tasty sausages & gently gently does it, Rosie come on girl so many are willing you to be found stay safe sweetheart xxLast edited: 2013-11-02 10:24:03 by Kinsally

- K9tracker has texted me that a new sighting was phoned in last night, in the area that Tiga tracked to. Have texted back asking for exact location, then will update here.

- New sighting Monday 28th Oct - New Park Retirement Homes , again Rosie ran off when someone tried to catch her. Looks like she might be looping between Ilsington and Plantation woods areas.
Plenty of areas to hide under the homes in the New Park area. They also back onto the plantation woods. If you live in the area please can you check gardens/sheds/outbuildings and ring if you see her. Thank you. - 2013-11-01 18:32 cwoffindale
- Thank you so much for the suggestion of the rabbit, that's a great one. Thank you. x
- 2013-11-01 13:34 Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
- Just a suggestion. On www.soundboard.com./sb/rabbitbunnysoundsaudio there is a recording of a distressed rabbit. When I played it, my "resting" retired greyhound immediately appeared at my shoulder to investigate. Would it be worth making a copy, going to where she's been sighted at about the same time as sightings, and sit in a car with the door open playing it. I believe it was used to lure Greyhound Cindy to the owners.Last edited: 2013-11-01 13:37:44 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

- Thank you so much, really appreciated!
Updated sighting : Now last seen 11pm Sunday 27th October near the Vicarage again in Ilsington.
She has now been seen around this area a good few times and quite often quite late at night. Please please if you are travelling through the village can you keep an eye out and call us if you see her.
Thank you!

- There is a friend of mine who has helped a lot with the Pringle search she is camping in this area this week and has been told about Rosie and is looking out for her. Wishing you all lots of luck and hope you get another sighting soon.

- Your more than welcome & good luck tonight cwoffindale I really am hoping that Rosie will make an appearance for you. Jenny with her tracker dog is a great idea & yes the bbq too should definitely get her attention being a fan bless her with those tempting smells! Fingers crossed for you good luck x
- 2013-10-29 22:16 cwoffindale
- Thank you Kinsally. No update at the moment I'm afraid. However, a lovely lady called Jenny with a tracker dog is coming all the way from Kent tomorrow to try and give us a hand to track Rosie down so I have my fingers hugely crossed for that. She has suggested we go out late tonight in case Rosie is coming out when all is closed now its nicer weather so we are leaving soon for another walk around.
Thank you so much for the bbq idea - someone suggested this on twitter to me so we are going to try that too as she is a bit of a fan of such things and so if tracking doesn't work tomorrow I will be trying that.
Thank you all again for continuing to circulate her details. It is so important in case she did move on from Ilsington that I can let as many people know as possible so thank you so so much for helping me to spread the word. - 2013-10-29 21:52 Kinsally

- Keep checking for any news on Rosie, fingers crossed there will be a sighting soon. Have you thought about setting up a portable bbq in the area she went missing in? she may well be hiding up during the day & the scent of some tasty sausages may draw her out. Good luck & Rosie it's time to come home now xx

She unfortunately wasn't wearing her coat when lost. She should just have on her tan leather collar. May look dark brown or black when wet.
Thank you for K9SD post, desperately trying to get a sighting recent enough so we can call you.
Will keep all updated.
