Many thanks, but Daisy would be now under 2 years old and the dog on the site is 4 years old so I don't think it could be her, sadly, particularly as the dog had had a litter. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It may be the same lab that was found near Stansted, but there's a young black lab bitch at www.mutts-in-distress.org. Found as a stray, no tag or chip. There's a photo on site. Probably the same dog as near Stansted but worth a look. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Many thanks, TraceyB, for your suggestions. We live in the middle of the countryside so in fact we did that within hours of Daisy going missing. Still no joy. We do miss her so. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please notify local landowners if not already done-especially the ones with livestock. Leave your phone number & make sure you have some one one 24hr availibilty. The devastating loss of two young labs is enough. I've a lab x & she's always going wandering into fields following one smell or another. I'm lucky that she comes back if I shout 'biscuits'. It's not her name but as long as she gets a treat for coming back it normally does the trick. Hope you get her back soon.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We had what I think was the first pretty accurate sighting of Daisy on Saturday, May 6 at Erpingham in Norfolk, a few miles from Wolterton, and then found out someone else had seen her that day. Have done more posters and leaflet dropped the village and keep going there to look for her every day. Everyone in the area knows about Daisy and cannot understand how she disapeared without trace (apart from the possible sighting on May 6). The reward is now ?500 and we continue to advertise in the local papers. Thank you everybody very very much for your kind words and support. It really make a difference. I had no idea how many king people there were about, and also, how much it hurts to lose a very much loved pet.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You're absolutely right Catherine. Dogs are very resilient and some labs can be on the run for ages.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We were re united with our lost labrador 16 days after registering him on this site. That was through the coldest spat of weather and we were so concerned about him. Someone on the site sent me reassurances of the hardy nature of these dogs and somehow without food or much water Targa survived. I am so hoping that you are reunited. Keep up the postering and dont be downhearted. We are all thinking of you. Catherine xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you very much for the emailed poster. Hadn't realised you could get them off this very page! The black lab in our village has a little blue collar on and is very scared. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You've probably already covered them but have you sent a poster to Woodgreen Animal Shelter near Huntingdon? MIght seem a long way off but it's probably recognised in the East like Battersea is in London. Also for Poppy the Terrier. Hope you find her soon xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please can you email me the poster as I haven't received one. Our printer isn't working at mo so can save it on disc and take it into town tomorrow and put it up in the village. We did have RSPCA in village today. I didn't see a dog in the back of the van. Think they were collecting ill pigeons, I gave them posters on our dog. I am more than happy to poster in this area and if I see the dog I'll try and catch it. As I have horses I am often riding about in the area where this dog has been seen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Someone said to me today that they have seen a black lab quite small in our village over the past few days. We are in Barrow near Bury St Edmunds. He didn't know if it was a dog or a bitch and it was at the back of his house and then ran over to the playing fields by the village hall. He most recently saw it yesterdayLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
