- Those of us too far away to help are also hoping for good news and thinking of you. Wishing all the best to Susie s family and all helping
- 2013-10-31 08:36 Susie's mum
- Thank you. We've put posters up all along the river. Going back today to put more up. I hope someone manages to get the poor dog in Warrington. It must be freezing and terrified by now. Thank you all so much for helping out. I won't be able to rest until I find Susie. It's good to know do many others are looking too!
- 2013-10-31 08:28 diwarli
- My sighting of the springer was too quick to notice if there was any collar or not. We're still taking a spare lead out on our walks,so whichever dog it is here in Warrington, we could still help if we see it :-)
- 2013-10-31 08:11 Cassie and Oscars Mummy
- I think you are right and someone will have her. I will print off more posters and distribute in the surrounding area. have you put posters near the river where she went missing? I have a spaniel who loves the water. He was swept away from me once. It was terrifying. Thankfully he managed to get back up the banking a little downstream and I found him. I can not even imagine what you are going through. Fingers still crossed for beautiful Susie.

- We went to Warrington last night to look for this dog. Sightings started being posted on Monday night on the Warrington Animal Welfare Facebook page and we have been following them ever since. We also received phone calls about this dog. I honestly don't think it is Susie. A lot of the sightings say this dog was wearing a collar. We had taken Susie's collar off when she was playing. Susie was really friendly - too friendly with strangers sometimes. Even if she was petrified, I think she'd still run to people rather than away from them. There is a missing Springer from the Widnes area listed on animalwardens.co.uk. I think it's more likely to be the Springer seen in Warrington. Last edited: 2013-10-31 07:09:57 by Susie's mum

- Cassie and Oscars mum: can't thank you enough. It would be a good idea to put posters up all over the surrounding area of marple. I suspect someone has Susie. She will not still be in woodland 4 days later as she would have gone to someone, she is a friendly dog. If she had been swept away and drown, the guys at the water treatment plant would have seen this by now. The only thing left is that someone has found her and doesn't realise how devastated the family is. Please keep your eye out if you live in Stockport. Her markings are just like her mums. She has two white flicks between her eyebrows and going up to her head. She will be quite lean as she is only 8 months old. I personally can not stop looking and worrying until she is found. Susie is a strong and gutsy puppy. She was the first to crawl, walk and follow commands. She is very intelligent. She will be out there somewhere x
- 2013-10-31 02:46 BellasSpringers
- Please can you give more info on your sightings so they can be followed up. Eg: name, area, postcode or name of town seen. I cannot view your facebook as I don't know your name. The quicker we get her home the better. Thanks. I am Susie's breeder and had her for 3 months. As you can imagine I am worried sick, not slept for days now. If I knew the street and town you seen the springer I would drive down from Bolton to look for her. Her owners are lovely people and have had a very tough few days. Any info I get that sounds promising will be text to them IMMEDIATLY.

- I highly suspect that I saw Susie this afternoon at 2.50 but I was in the car and on my way to collect my daughter from school, so couldn't stop. I live in Chapelford, Warrington. She had very muddy legs and just ran across the road, as she must be terrified. I thought it was another springer bitch that I know locally but I found out that that dog is safe in the hands of it's owners. I was alerted to the fact that it could be Susie by our local pet sitting service. I just posted it on F/b and already a friend has said that she saw a dog remarkably like Susie running around this afternoon, by the Royal Mail centre which is very near to here. I pray that Susie will end up in the arms of someone who will care of her and take her to a vet and get her back to her home asap. x

- Thanks Butternut, good advice. I sent Susie's owners the number for the Canal & River Trust along with our general advice, I'm sure they will have contacted them.
- 2013-10-30 10:11 Cassie and Oscars Mummy
- I'm quite close to Marple, I'm in Poynton. I've printed out a poster and put in our shop window. Still praying for Susie's safe return.
- 2013-10-30 09:55 Butternut
- You've probably been advised to do this already, but have you contacted the Canal & River Trust (what used to be British Waterways)? They may have river inspectors on that piece of water. Hopefully Susie has got out and will be found very soon safe and well, but if the guys on the river know there is a dog been swept away they may know where to look. Everything crossed for you.

All the good wishes are keeping us going, we greatly appreciate each and every one, and to all the people who have looked for her I can't tell you how grateful we are.

- I don't know if this is any help but our betty was swept away in a river and the police give us specific hotspots of areas where dogs are known to get out, could be worth a try, wish i was closer to help with the search. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed she's found soon big hugs and don't give up xx

- I have spoken to Susie's owners and they are absolutely distraught. They have already contacted the microchip company and I have recommended they get posters up in the area, in local vets and police stations, speak to the park wardens and contact the council warden and the River and Canal Trust (formerly Waterways). We need everyone looking for Susie and to contact the family with any info/sightings.
