Had a phone call from someone who was talking to the Daughter of this lady in the village, she was told that Tommy has been homed to someone in Maidstone who has two children, so could anyone in the Maidstone area please put up poster of Tommy. All vets in the area have been contacted by phone and followed up with emailing the doglost poster of Tommy, also all dog training and agility clubs have been notified, thanks xLast edited: 2013-10-29 19:11:33 by BC

Why do people jump on the bandwagon without knowing all the facts !!! In response to your post Alikat. Firstly The Border Collie Spot has a very good reputation thank you. Secondly where dose it say he isn't neutered ?? He is neutered, and he was neutered whilst he was in foster in Yorkshire. The lady who wanted to adopt Tommy was home checked prior to him leaving his foster home in Yorkshire. Because Tommy was quite a stressed little dog it was arranged that he would go from his foster straight to his new home, he was isds registered, and the fosterer was told that he was microchipped, and that he would forward on his paperwork. When he arrived he was scanned for his microchip number, a chip could not be located, so the new owner was informed of this, and she said that she would get him chipped herself. The microchip details have never been supplied to the Rescue, so that is why there are no microchip details for him available. I have checked with Petlog to see if he has been registered, they checked by the postcode, and petlog have no details. Yes the new owners probably have taken the dog in good faith, but tommy is quite a distinctive dog, and if it comes to it we can get him DNA tested, as we know who bred him, and he still has the mum and dad, and we also have the signed adoption contract which says quite clearly that he cannot be sold, or given to another party.

If this dog has already been through a reputable rescue service and rehomed, why is it unknown whether he is microchipped or not? Surely they would have done this, and neutered him? The new "owner" has taken him in good faith... without a chip it could be hard to prove it is the right dog.

Also contacted the three closest vets to rolvenden, so they are all aware he has been rehomed and will look out for him
