So glad she is home :-) Stay sage now little girl xx

Massive Thank you again to EVERYONE who was so involved in helping finding her, putting posters up and continue to keep an eye out for her. I believe this will all have helped to put pressure on the thief in the end.
Dog was a bit more skinny and has slightly changed in character, but other than that is healthy and hopefully now happy again:-)
Maggie

I found this dog around a bout a month ago I've had her with me trying to re-home her and not had any luck, she is brilliant with kids and has a really nice temperament. I work 6 days a week which is why I can't keep her myself. She is welcome to anyone that can offer her a good home. I can deliver her you if you do not have transport. The vet have said she is maybe 2 years old.

As i am getting plenty of emails asking if i have reported her as missing, of course i have and the dog warden refused to help claiming that she was my dog and that i had lied about finding her. So i have contacted local rescue centres who have put appeals out for her owners and had no luck so me and the rescue centre are trying to rehome her, we have been trying to for the past few weeks. Background checks will be being carried out for the people who have her to avoid her being put into the wrong hands.

No time wasters, dog needs a loving home.

cs
yes i saw that one too, but tan rather than black sadly

Please check found dog - 63510
I cant tell from the photos but I thought I saw a white bit on one of the back nails in the pic.
cs
Sadly nothing to report from me, haven't heard a word from the owners either despite meeting one of them, making sure he understood how to operate on this page and asking him to update it with what they are doing etc
lesleyjane
Any update on this one please?
cs
That's great, the owners should be relieved about the posters now. I have been driving late at night down the road where there was the sighting last week to see if she was visiting for food but nothing - it was raining so maybe unlikely she would have been wandering round, but I will go back when its dry
Maggie
I have updated her Doglost page for you :)

Hope to see this little one home very soon
cs
I have now met the owner, they are anxious for this poster to be changed because of the wording. Can it please be replaced with the one on https://dropbox.com/s/r5wn58wi1v514x4/Lucky.doc as posted below by the friend who put this page on doglost in the first place. I suggested they go late at night to the takeaway shops where there seems to have been a sighting on thursday to see if L is coming out at night to find food, also to put up posters in shop windows so they can't be torn down

None of the shopkeepers had seen her but several let me put posters up in their shops on that road, including Sam's Chicken - not worth doing lampposts etc I don't think because of the people who are taking them down. There are a lot of restaurants/take-aways on that road so that will be tempting for a lost dog after dark, also a few narrow alleyways between shops with lots of smelly rubbish for a dog to eat, so must be likely that it was missing L who was seen there yesterday. I spoke to the owner for the first time earlier. He comes onto Doglost to check found dogs but didn't sound as if he knew about this particular page, which his neighbour did for him, or how to comment on doglost. Its good now I can communicate with him so hopefully he will come and post updates on here. Ideally he would go out for maybe a week to the same street at 11pm each night to look around these shops as that stands a much better chance of seeing her if she is hiding by day
cs
I will come and have a look round tonight, unfortunately i'm away all weekend but this sounds interesting, when was this sighting please?
Tina
Hi, I have seen similar dog near Criclewood station, in front of Sam`s chicken, time was 23:08.Black with white chest.
cs
It would be really good to hear how the owners are doing, even if its just to say what they've tried, where they're focussing etc. I assume that all dog wardens, Battersea and other obvious places as advised by DogLost are being checked regularly but if not that's something we could help with as its a lot to do and harder for the owners to have to keep up the momentum on all by themselves
cs
Hope its of some help, we desperately need a proper sighting or information

I have put up posters in local parks and emailed to vets and pet shops in the area
cs
A new one to have a look at http://www.lostdogsuk.co.uk/index.php?id=74 they don't show the white on her chest but worth a look
cs
I will keep looking and postering with the new posters. Please encourage the owners to put up posters all over the place too: they can't look everywhere themselves all the time and if there are loads of posters are up then members of the public will effectively be looking out for her too

Hi All,

Thanks for your continued support. I have told the owners about all your reports sightings reports and also the Link to the dog that was picked up in Greenwich. Unfortunately we still had no luck. If the woman you saw ripping down posters, it might be even the owner herself, she is concerned about the posters saying she was stolen so maybe that is why... if it wasn't her (small with black hair?) then it is definitely weird.

Further she was also maybe sighted in Kilburn Grange Park, but to be honest, I have seen so many black staffies with a white bit on the chest by now, it could have been any of them as well. I continued to help them on the PC and they are also still working with the police and trying to get the CCTV footage...

Thanks!!!
cs
Hi is there any news at all of sightings or how the search is going?
cs
Thanks for the new poster that's great, although I came across a woman ripping posters down this morning - seemed a bit crazy rather than trying to hide something but someone also saw a man doing it too! That was near Virgin Active but a bit further away they seem to leave them alone. I had a look around the cemetery but nothing. I met a woman with a black staffie herself so its possible some of the sightings were of her dog?
Di
It's good that you are doing so well to assist the owners, Ninadigaetano. Before the Internet there would be a very slim chance of re-uniting missing & found pets. Let's hope we can find this little girlie x

Hi Everyone, above is a link to a copy of the generic poster I obtained...
thanks again for all your help, I told the owners all about it and they will continue to search for her. The Link of the dog in Greenwich I also shared with them, you never know, although it doesn't quite seem her.

I'm sorry it proves dificult for them to connect with you, they really haven't got experience with these things and unfortunately in such a situation it shows how difficult it is these days to have to deal with something like this and not have the Internet knowledge...

Tx everyone will email owner now and ask them to check up...

Di, I also thought it was this dog on Lost dogs, has anyone chased it up?
cs
the white doesn't look right though ... been out today, met a man who said he saw this dog on Horton Avenue couple days back with collar on - owners may already know of this as he said he told a woman as well and it is quite near the Virgin Active. Some of my doglost posters have been torn down, not sure if by the owners or kids or someone who doesn't want us on the trail. I can copy posters leaving out the references to theft or perhaps the owners could upload their own homemade posters I have seen onto this site to replace the current one?
Di
Sometimes the owner may pink out comments in error (hope so ... don't want to be "naughty"). Just in case, I'm putting again the link I put beneath

That's great you are in touch and would be good if the owners could somehow get online and communicate their wishes. I will not put up any more posters until I hear they are happy (or maybe they want the content of the posters changed so as not to mention theft?). In my (admittedly limited) experience members of the public respond positively to the mention of a theft on their doorstep but are a bit more casual about yet another dog wandering off. Also I have been involved in a couple of theft cases and in both of them the thief/accomplice/friend seemed to have no qualms about getting in touch with the owner with some bogus story as to how they came by the dog in question and of course asking for money for their time and effort. Sometimes the thief seems to be waiting for posters to go up so they can get in touch with the owner to get the money they are after. Met someone today whose friend's dog was stolen from outside shop in Kilburn, later found abandoned in Kilburn park so the sighting yesterday is very positive news: both that the word is out and people know where to call and also little L may well have been dumped by the thief and wandering around lost.

Hi Everyone, I only just realised the amazing activity by all of you on here and around Cricklewood, am so sorry if I didn't get in touch since filling out the report. First of all: MASSIVE THANKS for your support!

To explain the situation: This dog belongs to my neighbours, and since they don't have Internet, I offered them to help out with it, but regarding postering etc, I left it up to them to put them everywhere. Unfortunately posters often get taken down again, so they need to repost again.

I also received a call yesterday from a possible sighting near the Virgin Active, the person that called said it was a confused looking dog similar to the picture, the owner went to look but no luck.

So my one worry now is: The owners didn't really want to put posters up that said that the dog was stolen out of fear that would be counter-productive. There posters were more generic, so if the thief itself wanted to get in touch, he would not feel nervous. I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Regarding the CCTV, the owners said they saw the video footage in the tile shop, but were not given it. it would be great if the Police could do something with that, but I'm not sure what they spoke about with the owners, by the sounds of it, getting the footage wasn't something they would do...

I let the owners know about all your comments and ask them to add their own. THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN, IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS A WHOLE NETWORK OUT THERE HELPING< SO GREAT! I KNOW THE FAMILY, MOTHER AND SON, AND THEY ARE DISTRAUGHT!

I put another 30 posters up around cricklewood today down to top of Kilburn - raining so mostly under cover in bus shelters and pubs etc. Will aim to do main road in Kilburn later in the week. Could the owners get hold of the Tile Shop's CCTV photo and put that up or show it round pubs and cafes? don't know if they would allow that though ...
Maggie
Thank you cs and lesleyjane for your help

I have asked for update and more information - I have also let CJ know about this one (Doglost Police Contact)
lesleyjane
Well done, cs, Sunday is a busy day round there . I go to the nearby Virgin Active health club and will take some posters there tomorrow. There have been several re-tweets and I have let the Mayhew Animal Home know. It has been a while since L was stolen, now, I fear she may have been sold on and out of the area....hope I am wrong. Are owners keeping an eye on gumtree, pre-loved etc in case she's advertised?
cs
Had a look round this morning, only saw one other (non doglost) poster though. I gave posters to the shops at the car park - couple said they had a poster but they hadn't put it up yet! - and put up about 50 around the car park and down the main road. The Tile Shop said they had had the police round twice so at least they're taking it seriously. We definitely need to flood the area with posters and speak to people on the street and shopkeeper so that people know she is stolen and make it difficult for anyone to hold on to her.
cs
I will come out tomorrow and poster all around
lesleyjane
Yes, local press a great idea!
cs
Also Reunited 51620 stolen from outside shop in Hampstead, seen on CCTV being carried on to tube - recovered in Cricklewood. I think that one was helped by coverage in local newspapers - but well worth trying to get some local press interest
lesleyjane
Shared on FB and Twitter, another dog was recently stolen under similar circumstances but reunited after a few days...this was also in NW London, maybe L's owners could speak to Pepper's owners ( Reunited ID 58030) for tips and suggestions? Good luck. I will look out for her......poster everywhere to make her too hot to handle.....x
