Thanks Bobble, I did know that the lost pets group on Fb is nothing to do with Doglost....I only mentioned it as xlaurax put:"There is also people looking for him and updating on the Facebook page lost and found pets in bristol/south glos so worth checking it out"
I did register Mac on here (even though I couldn't find ANY details for owner, but thought at least if he was found by someone and they would see him on here) It's such a brilliant site! :-)

Thank you Lilybear x

So pleased to see that Mac is reunited ;)

Duleek, the lost pets group is not anything to do with Doglost, so they probably won't see your comments! If you know anyone that finds or looses a dog, get it registered on here.
xlaurax
Awww I am so glad to hear Mac is reunited bless him :)

the facebook group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/lostfoundstolepetsbristolandsouthglos/
the lady who runs it said there is no pending join requests at present so I would try and join again if you can x

So glad Mac has been found, it was a difficult one as no owner could be contacted. I belong to the group your talking about dual eek and will bring it up with the lovely lady that runs it although mac had a pst on there that a member posted then we try to get the owner to join . Will have a word , I am sorry x

Fabulous news...so pleased he's back home I am so sorry I couldn't update with owner's contact details or any more about this dog....I only read this lady's status on facebook and registered her dog as lost on here.
Messaged her on facebook, but as I am not friends with her she probably didn't see it.
I did try to get on the Lost and Found pets in Bristol/South Glos mentioned below, but unfortunately that is a 'closed' group....did request to join but have not been approved.
Not trying to be awkward, but wouldn't it make more sense to have an 'Open' group, so that if someone has found / lost a dog they could post about it or check on what dogs have been lost / found? As I say, just a thought...I expect there's a good reason it's restricted and it has worked fine so far.

From Bristol DAWG FB page: "Just to let everyone know I have just spoken to Suzy and she has been reunited with her dog."

I have seen a comment on FB in relation to Bristol DAWG that Mac has possibly been found. Contact with the owner has been proving difficult though.
