Yes having Lily`s daughter must bring some comfort even though she isn` Lily. You will see Lily again one day, and cross the bridge together.

How absolutely heartbreaking. How anyone can be so callous to hit a dog and then drive off is beyond belief. I am so very sorry, and my thoughts are with the family at this terribly sad time. Lilly loved and was loved, and knew only happiness for the last 5 years of her life. Run free at the bridge Lilly - you were beautiful xxxx

And please, do microchip Lilly's daughter... these are just the dogs some other scum love to steal, and if she isn't chipped you can't hope to get her back should the worst happen. They have a Weds evening microchipping session - very cheap - at Jolley's in Colchester, you can check online.

So very sorry - I only just saw the email as I was hardly online yesterday (doing a dog transport from the Stowmarket pound for pound-puller HM who lives in West Bergholt, as it happens. I was going to offer to mobilise the W Bergholt troops to help search, then found this. What a horrible thing to happen: I hope her end was quick. We all live in fear of this who give our precious hounds some freedom. RIP Lily, and my sympathies to both of you.

Lill Was found at 5am after we stayed searching for her from 7pm the previous night. She had been ran over and left to die no call to a vet or the police. Lilly was not just a dog she was our best friend she was a gentle lady who had a terrible start to life and was given a second chance with us the 5 years were the best of our lives. You will always be in our thoughts and we are sorry that you this had to happen to you
