- Apparently someone from Dartmoor Rescue found him on A30. I didn't post anything earlier as they said his owners had been informed and I was waiting for them to contact you. So sorry for his owners if it is him, Run free Trigger. If by any chance it isn't him I will go out again tomorrow.Last edited: 2013-11-18 19:45:50 by Trish

- Have notified West Devon Dog Warden as well of the sighting and location. The dog answers to his name and 2 beeps on a 2:10 1/2 dog whistle.

- Black Cocker seen by lady last night near recycling plant in Lewdown EX20 at Coombe Bow lay-by but frightened away by a Waste lorry. She has very kindly offered to go back to see if she can call him.

- I live nearby, you need to send some emails to PL 15 as well. Try postering the services at Sourton Cross, there is a HGV stop there as well as a filling station and Little Chef. I will alert my partner, who is a lorry driver, when he rings. He can pass the word on. It would probably be worth trying Ambrosia as well. I will also speak to my youngest daughter, whose boyfriend works at Tinhay. I will take a drive out that way in half an hour when I take my dogs out.

- I have just spoken with a very helpful lady at the Lifton Farm Shop who will kindly print posters to pop up in the shop by till today. Thank you.

- What a dilemma. So Trigger(handsome boy!) is somewhere between layby A30 Liftondown and M5 J28 Cullompton Services. Will keep eye out around Cullompton area when I go that way.
Can print poster for the services if they will put it up but only have b&w printer.
Will spread the word in this area but do alert the vets who are not far from the services.(Vale Vets 01884 35558)
Stay safe Trigger.Last edited: 2013-11-17 23:14:13 by MacIntosh - 2013-11-17 19:25 Lilybear

- Trigger has gone missing from his car last evening, Sat 16/11/13 between 7.40pm & 8.10pm.
I am not familiar with the area and hope this makes sense.
Owners were making return journey home to Wiltshire travelling in separate cars, travelling towards Exeter.
Mr B. was travelling with Trigger and one other black dog in his car when it broke down – pulling into the first large layby on the A30 at Liftondown, alongside a dual c’way, (not far from Lifton Farm Shop, PL16)
Mrs B travelling ahead was informed and returned to meet at layby. The AA were called.
The AA man helped transfer dogs and personal belongings from one car to the other. It was very dark but Mrs B recalls seeing both dogs tucked up in boot of her estate car – the cover over them so they could not get onto the back seat which was full.
The AA man waited 40 mins for recovery of the first car back to a garage in Wiltshire.
Mr and Mrs B continued their journey along the A30 heading east – one mile on noticed the light showing on for boot so pulled into next layby and made it secure. They then travelled to McDonalds at Cullumpton Services, M5 to collect a meal, car was not left unattended.
It was back home when car unloaded that Trigger found to be missing.
We have spoken about all possibilities, Mrs B suggests that it is very likely that Trigger escaped from her car whilst at the first layby Liftondown – possibly spooked by the bright flashing lights of the AA breakdown van.
The AA have been contacted, the man has been very helpful, does not recall seeing Trigger as he waited for the recovery truck, nor did he see him later during his patrols of the A30. The garage have been contacted this morning to see if Trigger sneaked back into the first car, sadly not.
Owners have contact Devon & Cornwall Police and tomorrow will update the chip company, dog wardens etc for area. Any help in the Devon area with contact details posters etc would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
