Unfortunately we were not aware of this until after the meeting had taken place. I have contacted owner asking for more details plus informed Kent police as again I do not think anything was reported to them either.

If we were in the same position I think everyone would pay for the return of their dog...so no blame on owner...have made CJ our police co-ordinator aware so info gleaned may help with the next "missing" dog in that area.

I'm so glad Prada is back home, 3 x ME12 dogs reunited this week! whoop whoop!! I hope the police have been informed, these scumbags cannot keep getting away with stealing our pets, they have no idea of the heartache and distress they cause for money/their own gain. Police need to send out a clear message to dog thieves!

I agree janie but this isnt really a reward its a payment for being blackmailed. Your dog is held to ransom and of course you want it back safely so to be honest i think Tomas was put in a very difficult position here and had to make a choice to pay or not to pay and risk never seeing his dog again.I agree the police should be made aware. Personally i think that anyone who accepts a reward for giving someone back their own dog is not a true dog lover.

Glad you got your dog back but paying money to the people you KNOW were thieves puts other dogs in similar danger. :( Police should be alerted.

Glad you got her back. I would really advise you to take your address off here as youve stated that you paid a reward to the theives. Would hate her to go missing again. Hope shes ok x
