- Hi Clare. If you would like me to come out in early Jan to see if I can see anything in the immediate area of where she disappeared from I am more than happy to do so. Please let me know if you would like me to assist. xx

- Hi to all who have been following this. We had the one reported sighting which was definitely NOT her. Since then nothing.
Thanks to you all for your support and kindness to us. Clare - 2013-12-19 11:52 ClaireC
- Hi Clare Bulgarelli, has there been any other sightings of Rusty at all apart from the one which I have just spoken to your son about which was not Rusty?Last edited: 2013-12-19 11:55:18 by ClaireC

- Have now made contact with Clare Rusty's owner. To date there is no news. As Rusty is an elderly lady now I don't think she will have gone too far. I have made some suggestions re ponds/swimming pools that might possibly be in the immediate area that should be checked for ease of mind. As I have said I am more than happy to come over and have a look around if you would like me to.xLast edited: 2013-12-03 10:36:59 by ClaireC

- Also ask Mix 96 (01296 393396) to see if they will put a message out on their broadcasts. I do believe they have a website where some missing dogs are on. They will probably ask you to text details or visit their website. x

- Hi Clare. I can come over on Monday but more likely Tuesday to have a look around if Rusty has not been found or turned herself in by then. Let me know on this site where you think she might likely to have gone around Grendon ie does she have a favourite walk that she is very familiar with. You said that she is unsteady on her feet and possibly might have fallen over and unable to get up, have you thoroughly checked the ditches (if there are any nearby) just in case she has fallen into one. Also, you might like to check out with the Highways Dept of the Council(s) to rule out that she hasn't been involved in an RTA and she has been picked up by them for ease of mind. Try to talk to your local postman/milkman to see if they have seen anything strange and you could also put a poster in the letterboxes as these do get taken back to the office and displayed (I'm told). Another way of postering is to put poster in your car and also friend's cars - you would be surprised how many people stop to read them. Bus shelters or a telepgraph pole nearby bus stops if you have any nearby. Please can you also check that neighbours don't have a pond or a swimming pool that he might have fallen into which I do sincerely hope is not the case. xLast edited: 2013-11-30 16:08:29 by ClaireC

- Another thought - do the refuse trucks pass through Grendon Underwood on their way to the landfill site at Calvert? Would be worth asking them to put some posters up in their staff room if they do. They have been brilliant up there when other dogs have gone missing near the landfill. Could Rusty have made it that far and be living up there?

- Thanks for posting Clare. Make sure you have loads, and I mean LOADS, of posters up, as that really is the key. We need to get sightings coming in and the only way to do that is by letting EVERYONE know she is missing. Are there any farms near you? Have you let them know - incase she is holed up in a barn or outbuilding? I've put some posters up where I work at the council offices in Aylesbury, so hopefully colleagues travelling around the area might spot her. Does she have a favourite squeaky toy you could take out when searching? Familiar sounds might just bring her out if she's hiding (shaking a treat tin etc). Let bin men, postmen, taxi drivers etc know too. I will try to get over to have a drive around on Friday or Saturday x

- Thank you also for the suggestions.
@Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum: I will try BlackBerry Farm tomorrow.
@Burchey: she got out from our house in the centre of the village, near the shop. - 2013-11-21 00:49 Clare Bulgarelli
- Thanks to all the people who have posted here for your help and support.
I have no news at all. No sightings or anything.
We have reported her to local vets, local dog warden (both Cherwell and AVDC), local rescue kennels have been phoned, I have put up posters all round Grendon and various people have looked all round.
Apologies for not responding earlier; as this is my first experience of a lost dog, I hadn't realised everyone was posting for me.

- I’ve found that it helps to print out an A4 sheet of paper cut into business-card size slips, each with brief details and your phone number on. Give them to all the local dog walkers, postmen etc. you meet. Then if someone has news when they’re out and about they don’t need to find a poster or log on to the site to contact you. This would really help if she's fallen and someone needs to call you urgently, though hopefully her tag will still be intact. Glad she's chipped and tagged.

- Sorry to see that RUSTY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (60087)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.

- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
