- Remember to ask everyone who attends the search party to look low to the ground, in hedgerows and ditches and right underneath bushes. An injured dog will feel vulnerable and his instinct will be to stay right out of sight, and he will keep very quiet. Moogie, the reason I edited your post was a typo, you had put pastry instead of party. Perhaps you were thinking that everyone should bring a snack to keep energy up!
