I am so sorry to hear this! I really feel strongly that this story should be sent to the local newspapers just to highlight what harm fireworks can do.

Bloody fireworks again feel like writing to the Houses of Parliament to put a ban on them other than 5th nov , they start a week before Halloween an go on till 5th jan then start up again at Easter , it has to stop , penny sleep sweetly darling xxx

So very, very sad. Another lost to water, and all because of a damn firework (on the 23rd November too). I am so sorry and my thoughts are with the family at this awful time. Another to the bridge way too soon, but run free, sweet little Penny xxx

Fireworks again. Too young, too soon, Nightie, night "Pretty Penny" sleep tight, and play with the other "babies" gone before you.; you will be forever young. (((HUGS) to your family for their sad loss. U ntil you all meet again at the bridge. RIP+ God blessx Run free little one: so sad. A~~~Candle~~~burns for Penny, and her owners. About time fireworks were only limited to Bonfire night, as they are partly to blame for some of our furries going to the bridge before their time.

I am so sorry to hear this...just had a call from a helper saying she witnessed the police this morning carrying a similar dog from the beach....run free Penny...and B****y fireworks again.

Added today "animalwardens" site ref.322893 tel 0845=241-7253. Small sandy female crossbreed. Found TN11. I know she couldn't have walked that far but may have been picked up by a passing motorist and handed in to Tunbridge warden. Sorry I can't see photos on that site. Hope you find her soon.

So sorry that little Penny is missing. Have you contacted the dog warden as the one for Worthing area is very good and you always used to be able to contact him on a Sunday; also all the vet's in the area - Downlands etc. Someone could well have taken her in...so please put lots of posters up. I am sure she will be found soon xxx
