The police had told us there was nothing they could do to help us but all of a sudden when the newspaper have been involved they have been on the site at Wakefield but without any look. If they had helped ealier things could have been different. We are still trying to locate the white van reg WK02 BMF which belongs to travellers.

chearleader, if you decide to come over to the wakefield area again please feel free to give me a shout and id be happy to go walking with you. Would Cassie be attracted to a doggy playmate or would that put her off coming forward? Im just thinking, maybe if you were seen dog walking it might not be as conspicuous as walking alone. Thankyou to the lady who rang from Wakefield yesterday. We went over to the area yesterday but there was no sign of a dog but we put up some posters.

Hi this is Cassies family. Sorry we havent replied before,weve had problems logging on.Cassie was taken by travellers and the van was registered to a site at Heath Common Wakefield. We have offered a reward and have had phone calls from the site but none of the descriptions matched her. She may have been sold already. Cassie has destinctive markings. Her left front leg is tan with a white paw and a black patch at the top. The front of her body is white the rear is black with a white patch on the left hand side. She has a white tip on her tail.

i have managed to get a couple of posters up in Leeds area. Any more ideas about where in Wakefield this little love may have been seen please? Have got a few friends who dog walk in many different areas so will forward this on to them too.

I have emailed Cassies poster to Leeds Dog Wardens and the rescue centres in the area including The Dogs Trust Kennels Leeds. Yorkshire Animal Shelter- Leeds does not have an email but can be contacted on 0113 2037236.I hope she is home soonxxx
