- Sadly this little dog has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
From facebook; owners update; the small dog found on M6 – junction 26 was our Jack Russell little girl Jessie who went missing on 22/11/13. Was not contacted via Dog Warden – apparently was not reported to them. Nightmare trying to trace her whereabouts in relation to Dog Warden not having any information logged. Contacted Highways who had a report of a description of our dog but did not know if anyone had picked her up or if she had been left at scene on central reservation of junction 26. No one seemed to care. After endless phone calls to Highways/Cleansing and threatening to make a complaint eventually tracked her whereabouts down to West Houghton Deport no indication of time/date that she was collected from scene or taken there. For all I know if one of your members hadn’t emailed me Jessie would have just been left there to decay and rot and her family left wondering whether she was alive or dead for the rest of time. Really emotionally draining as could not go to look/collect her myself as not safe to stop in relation to being on Motorway. Attended Depot on Friday to take her home where she belonged and laid her to rest. Wonder how many more poor families are out there wondering were their pets are – maybe cleansing/highways have descriptions of pets found logged but not sharing information with relevant agencies. Thank you and your members for all your kind support. xx' - 2013-11-29 08:15 Claire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West

Thanks jules1971 for looking out for Jessie, I have had a look on LCDH and cannot see any JRT's that look like Jessie. x - 2013-11-28 22:28 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
