I don't know if this helps but to anyone who has lost a dog never give up hope, if someone thinks they have seen your dog go to where they saw it and poster in that location even if it means more than 1 area. You have to put trust in people and hope their heart is in the right place. Facebook although I find it a pain in the a@@e most of the time is great place for getting people to look, I have been amazed at how many people I just politely nod hello to at my son's school have taken an interest and have asked about James, he took a poster into school and again a lot of the children would ask the receptionist if James had been found. I know its difficult to go up to strangers in this day and age, but that doesn't mean its impossible and again most I have spoken to have at least been polite. Sorry if this sounds like me teaching people to suck eggs etc, but I just hope that others on here get the same great outcome we have had. As I said never give up on your dog or your hopes thank you. GREAT NEWS THE DOG WARDEN BROUGHT JAMES HOME 10 MINUTES AGO!!!!!! A big thank you to everyone who looked for him, he was found in Rustington and seems no worse for his adventure. Thank you everyone once again.

I have had a couple of messages this evening James was seen last night about 19.00 at the Body Shop, but he ran off when approached. This morning at about 10/10.30 he was spotted running past Watersmead Drive, i think this is the Worthing road towards Rustington. We sometimes walk him in Brookfield Park so have walked around there at about 20.00 tonight but no sign he appeared to be heading towards Rustington/BP Garage. But at least he has been seen again.

Hi just an update on what we have been doing, my 7 year old son was in tears last night as he misses James so he took a poster into school (White Meadows) and it was shown at the school. I did speak to the manager at Morrisons and does sound like James he was also seen outside houses in the same area. We have been walking around this morning for 3 hours I have put new posters all around morrisons crossings, and spoken to a few dog walkers no one has seen him. I think that as he hasn't been seen Tuesday night someone may have taken him in. I had a strange question from someone asking if he had brown on him but have not heard back. His most distinctive feature is that he has like a hook on the end of his tail were it was damaged when he was young.Last edited: 2013-11-28 16:13:50 by steven Ford

I think that as James has been seen by Morrisons it would be a good idea to poster all around there and even into the town centre as someone could have taken him in or he maybe trapped in a shed or garage. Have you asked the school to check their out buildings? Can the fields to the back be easily accessed as he may have found shelter there. I would come and look - but I am at work. However, my sons partner is in the area and he will be searching around Morrisons. I am hopeful that little James will be found soon xxx

Have contacted a friend who lives in the area. He is out and about and will look out for the dog. I will shortly put up poster in BN14

It appears that he was seen near Morrisons in Littlehampton last night but apparently they couldn't catch him. So have now put a poster there

Have you also contacted the dog warden at Arun Stephen? all local vets as someone may have handed James in, Clymping Dog Sanctuary are also worth calling as sometimes people take found dogs there. Will call you when I get home xxx
