- Hi everyone, thankyou all for your suggestions and support. We have posters everywhere, and have posted posters through letterboxes but no luck.. It's so worrying when she has been missing for 4 weeks, we all miss her so much. Just hope shes safe x
- 2014-01-10 16:14 Seeks
- Christine get them to put posters in the streets or fliers through letter boxes all over the area..... someone might then realise they have seen her or better still got her and ring you x
- 2014-01-10 09:39 christine kipling
- Hi, yes thanks for the good suggestion, I think Amanda has put up posters in all the local schools nearby, and I have emailed out a poster to all the walking to school groups locally to get them to keep an eye out for any sightings. Keep the suggestions coming thanks very much x

- This is an email in admin from someone who came up with this idea ....
"Have you thought of going into the local schools and asking the head teacher if they can put some posters up in school so the kids can get involved, you know what kids are like with facebook and mobiles , spread the word again xx" - 2014-01-08 17:29 Seeks
- Just spoken to these ones Christine, they have a very reasonable sliding scale of charges so talk to them https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stolen-and-Stray-Pet-Recovery-Organisation-Ltd/328968127213341?fref=ts
Someone has asked if yu have a less dark picture of her, I know I saw one but not sure where...... My head is not working now a days Pup seems to be taking over so much of ity.
Again I hope you will hear something about Tina soon x - 2014-01-08 12:51 christine kipling
- OK will do, stay in touch, you just never know when something may turn up, our other site is stayaid.co.uk if you would like to take a look, the only other place I can think of is the dogs trust at darlington, I know its a long way off but you just never know if someone has transported them somewhere, keep smiling my friend x

- Christine Pet detectives quoted us a lot plus expenses a day..... I think I am in the wrong job lol. I looked at the Stolen and Stray site and they start at 10 but I think that is only notification in the area and we have already done that only bigger than they do. I am going to ring them though as we do need to generate interest in Pup. She is only a baby but though we got papers, radio etc when she was first stolen we can't get them to re-run.....
I will look on your site though as its better to look just in case and one day it might well be here. They do turn up and one today has after 7 months so it does give you hope.
See what you can get them to for for you, even when stolen their recovery rate is 60% so higher than we have. Tina really does have the Ahh factor and maybe use that angle? Hang in there and there are people looking, she is being shared and someone will work it out that they have her. I just wish they did it soon. x
Just had a quick look I love the smiling dog with the teeth on the home page lol. There is not a pic of the spaniel yet but will leave details. There are so many stolen springers (and cocker's) that the one you had might be another long term one turn up. Well done for your ethos! Its nice people give the strays a chance xLast edited: 2014-01-08 12:28:55 by Seeks - 2014-01-08 09:19 christine kipling
- Hi Seeks, thank you so much for your support, I will contact the pet dedective see if we cant get them to do it for free for us! if not I can always try to organise some fund raising, how is the search going for your little ones, there is a dog on our website www.strayaction.com just come in but I doubt its your little pup, worth looking though, good luck to you as well, if we can help you just let us know xx
- 2014-01-07 15:57 Seeks
- Folk are sharing her and she also has gone on to twitter so help is out there and hang in there x

- Christine have had some ideas on the vets get Scanning site,
https://www.facebook.com/groups/106838306012291/779133838782731/?notif_t=group_comment_reply
one is these people...
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stolen-and-Stray-Pet-Recovery-Organisation-Ltd/328968127213341?fref=ts
I haven't looked yet at what they charge and I already know that Pet detective are good but far more than we could afford.....
She is being added to their main site and have asked anyone on the area to put a few posters up.
For me giving up isn't an option but it is hard to stay positive so leaving you a hug and so many hopes x - 2014-01-07 11:51 Seeks
- I had so hoped there would be news by now Christine... Its so hard and I have failed to generate much interest in ours, she is just another stolen springer but Tina has what the press would call the Ahhh factor... she is old, she is loved and she needs finding so phone them and ask them if they would run it as a story.
For Pup I had to get on facebook, she has her own page/ community and the help has been invaluable! I have been checking so many lost sites, council kennels adds everywhere and have not seen one like Tina on the sites I have been on but will keep an eye out for her as well.
I will share her on the Vets get Scanning site this time, they have very helpful folk there and it might get you some much needed help.
Hang in there and deep down I am sure someone has taken her in but doesn't know that you have to report found dogs to the dog wardens.
So hope there will be some news soon x - 2014-01-07 11:14 christine kipling
- Can anyone out there suggest anything else to try to help find Tina. I have emailed all the local newspapers, radio stations etc but I have had no luck in getting any attention for this story. Tina must be somewhere, its so frustrating not being able to do anything positive, how can we find her?, is there an expert out there that can make any suggestions of what to do next?. She is microchipped so will be easily identifiable if someone takes her to a vet or rescue centre, so the only alternative is that someone must have taken her in. We desperately need to get the story out into the public domain, can anyone help?

- Did you have any success with the Northern Echo? I noticed they had a feature on Blue (Dog Lost ID 60235) in yesterdays edition missing from Spennymoor since November.
- 2014-01-05 12:03 Amanda Britton
- Thanks Seeks. We are grateful for any help. No idea why anyone would think she would be in Chopwell woods Clair. She went missing from Chester le Street x
- 2014-01-05 08:52 Clair Foster
- Hi where was the last possible sighting for Tina?somone said on a group possible Chopwell wood way?i was out looking yesterday along with others on another dog hunt x

- Its so hard when you think you have found them to find out you haven't. Really hope you will get a positive lead soon x
- 2013-12-31 16:04 christine kipling
- Ah what a shame I was so hoping you would have some good news by now why not try singing round the rescue centres again as a reminder for them there could be a small centre that you have missed outside of the area perhaps it's worth a try don't give up I can make phone calls for you if you need any help x
- 2013-12-31 13:23 Amanda Britton
- Thankyou Christine and Seeks. We thought we had a lead today, as someone rang me saying there was a dog in Deerness Kennels that looked like Tina, but it turned out to be a lead we have had before which is a dog called Smokey, which looks a lot like Tina but it definetly isn't her as the dog is younger and isn't a stray, it is looking for a new home. x
- 2013-12-29 00:06 Seeks
- You must try and stay positive my friend how ever hard that can be. Hugs for you and so many hopes she will soon be found. With luck someone has taken her in and doesn't realise or know they should tell the dog wardens. Everything crossed and will share her again and hope someone will soon be in touch to say they have her safe and sound x
- 2013-12-27 08:49 christine kipling
- Try to stay positive you are doing all you can hopefully she has been taken in by someone and we just need to wait until she appears we all are praying for you if you need Box help with searching or anything else just send me a text anytime x

I so hope she will soon be back with you x - 2013-12-22 20:52 terrierlady
- You could try calling both of the Local TV stations and ask for a story -(Look North and Tyne Tees televison) as well as the Northern Echo and other newspapers. I hope she is found soon.

- I am too far away to be much help but will link her to Pup's facebook page and Jayne if you don;t mind I will copy and paste your post on that too... we have got folk from the north looking out for Pup so will ask them to share it and get Tina out there.
Amanda I know you have probably done it but the dog wardens have a web site (I found it by chance but will try and find it for you tomorrow) report her there and all the dog wardens get the details of her chip... We did that and Pup has gone national but Dogslost have also helped share Pup so much and they rally will for Tina as well. I really will be grateful to them for ever for the help they have given us.
You hang in there and I so hope she will be home soon.
Pup's page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Find-Our-Springer-Pup-Please/520885531344185 so you can see what i have done and please say if your not happy (you too Jayne) and i will change it anyway you want.
Please Fates get this girl home x
TR72 if they haven't share it from Pup's page as she needs to be found xLast edited: 2013-12-21 04:47:00 by Seeks - 2013-12-21 00:16 Amanda Britton
- Thanks Christine. Thanks Kinsally, yes we have rang all vets we can think of, she is microchipped so we would have found out if someone took her to the vet. Yes we have put her posters up on bus stops Sally, and asked dog walkers. We have tried checking the routes we used to take her but no luck. Not sure if we have posters there yet TR72, will try that, thanks for the suggestion. Thankyou everyone for your comments, your help is much appreciated x

- Hi I live in Pelton just up from Pelaw & have been out looking, but no signs. Do you have a Facebook link that I could share as I have lots of local friends I can share this with. How about going into the northern bus garage and the little northern bus shop near the bottom of Chester Le Street & put posters up as bus drivers are driving around all day & May spot her. Fingers crossed.
- 2013-12-20 17:03 sallybee
- Are there any bus stops with shelters in the area especially on The Avenue? I am thinking poster in a plastic wallet and then if it is allowed, tied/taped to one of the posts at the bus stop? I can remember many 'green belts' and copses surrounding all the houses which must be making your search even harder - come on little-un, show yourself! Just a thought but if she goes on a regular walk, could she be doing that particular route perhaps? I will keep thinking with fingers crossed xxx
- 2013-12-20 13:48 Kinsally
- I do hope Tina can be found really soon especially if she is injured poor girl. Have local PDSA & all vets been contacted? Posters given in & put outside these too maybe helpful. Have circulated on Twitter. Fingers crossed & good luck x

- Hi, I have emailed Star Radio and Interlink Depot this afternoon, if anyone can think of any other places in and around that area to contact then please let me know and I will contact them for Amanda while she is busy searching. Many Thanks x
- 2013-12-20 10:57 Amanda Britton
- Thanks everyone for your suggestions, we will do anything to find Tina, so all of these suggestions are helpful. It is the Pelaw in Chester Le Street, as lots of people are asking this, confusing it with the one in gateshead. We don't know if these sightings are accurate but we have to go with any leads we get. We are going to print out more posters today and have another look for her again, looked yesterday night but no luck x
- 2013-12-20 09:24 sallybee
- Is Star Radio station still going......they could perhaps put an appeal out on air to ask the residents to keep an eye out?
- 2013-12-20 09:14 sallybee
- How about asking at the Interlink Depot - their drivers coming in and out might get a glimpse of her? Perhaps the Health Centre and the big petrol station at the bottom of Waldridge Road on the way into town might put up a poster too? Pelaw seems a long way does it not from CLS for this elderly lady to limp to so thinking on more local to home and the surrounding area? I do hope she is found soon and gets home safely. x

There is still no good news for this poor family, and Tina is still out there somewhere needing to be found. I can’t beg people enough to help to bring her home. If anyone can suggest anything new to try to help find her then please please get in touch with this family. We are desperately trying to get the newspapers involved just in case someone has taken her in not realising that there is a massive search taking place for her. Please spare her a thought and help if you are able to.
Can anyone suggest someone else we can contact for help, we are willing to fund raise to pay for help, we need to get her picture and story in the news somehow, we really need your help for suggestions.
Hi, TINA is still missing, we are now into the 6th day of searching with no luck at all. Its nearly Christmas so please could you help by keeping an eye open for little TINA, she has been seen in the PELAW area and near to HERMATIGE SCHOOL, she was limping and she needs to be found desperately.
Please could all you lovely people out there that helped me to find my Tess, help this poor family to find their beloved pet also. Tina went missing on Saturday 14th December in the CLS area. I am waiting for further details and will constantly update the bulletin board with any progress. If anyone can help with searching in that area you can either contact myself or Amanda on 07961040886/07432565831. Let’s see if we can find this families beloved pet for them before Christmas is upon us. Many Thanks

- Hi Bazil, thanks for helping to look for her, assuming you didn't see anything on your drive about? No i don't think we have had any sightings today? No times were included in the sightings, just where she had been seen. We have been out looking for her today, asked loads of people if they have seen her, put more posters up but nothing.. Many thanks, Amanda xLast edited: 2013-12-18 19:38:22 by Amanda Britton

- Hi Amanda, I had a little drive about this afternoon on my way home from Edmondsley. Have you had any sightings today? Also do you know approx times of the sightings please.
- 2013-12-18 07:39 Amanda Britton
- We have also had another possible sighting in Pelaw yesterday. We have still had no luck of finding het, we drove round the streets last night calling her name but nothung, presuming she had found shelter for the night as it was dark. If you could help looking for her that would be great, we have already got quite a few people coming out looking for her, but the more people looking the better. Thanks a lot x
- 2013-12-18 00:54 BBKM
- Oh brilliant that you have sightings. Just seen this. Hope you have found her, if not I will have a look around the area sometime later today. Fingers crossed she is trying to get herself home, come on Tina you can do it xLast edited: 2013-12-18 01:03:41 by BBKM

- Thanks Bazil x
I have spoken with Amanda who has contacted all the relevant authorities and had the contact details on her chip updated.
hoping posters will bring in sightings or news of Tina's whereabouts x - 2013-12-16 00:41 Amanda Britton
- I will, thankyou. No reports of any sightings of her at the moment, we're all so worried as it has been around 29 hours since she went missing. She has a bad leg, so she may be limping. x
- 2013-12-16 00:35 BBKM
- If you get any sightings please put them on here asap. If I can I will come down and help find her. Hoping she makes her way home safe x
- 2013-12-16 00:21 Amanda Britton
- Yes the postcode is DH2, she lives with my son, so wasn't too sure of the postcode when i put on the details, will have to update it. At the old house she escaped out of the gates and went to the woods but returned within an hour, she has never gone this long. Will call dog warden and vets asap, tried calling them yesterday but closed with it being sunday. Thankyou, we hope she returns home soon too x
- 2013-12-15 23:57 BBKM
- Ok thanks Amanda. I thought I did not recognise her as I live at The Avenue, Birtley. Is your postcode DH2? If this is the first time she has run off she may make her own way home, leave your gate open tonight. and maybe a porch door if you have one. Has there been any sightings of her? If there is a churchyard nearby check there as its peaceful and she could be resting there. Also a lost dog tends to move around at dusk and dawn so she may start to be sighted tomorrow morning if she is not home by then. Also call your local Dog Warden asap and inform all local vets she is missing. I will keep sharing on my FB page and keep checking for any updates on here. Hope she is home very soon.

- Hi Bazil,Tina is missing from The Avenue,Chester-Le-Street. She was in the garden with my son watching her, but the gate wasn't fixed properly, the gate was broke. She ran out, my son saw her running out of the gate but he couldn't keep up with her and lost her. - Amanda
