- Have spoken to daughter of Sams owner. They believe that Sam may have been hit by a train on the railway line near to where he went missing, as someone saw a dog on there, however nothing was found/reported by rail staff. However a while later, some fur, which could have been Sams, was found by other workers on the track. They do hope however that he may still be out there!

- They have checked, & the dog in Cheshire has a docked tail, so it is not theirs.
They were told just after the dog went missing, that a white dog had been found dead on the nearby railway, but were never able to confirm it was theirs. (It possibly wasn't scanned, or wasn't their dog). I have advised them to keep checking the website & not give up hope. - 2014-03-19 17:38 Max - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland

- I've seen one on Gumtree (says bitch) but rubbish advert, and the markings and facial expression look so similar - it even seems to have a patch on rear by tail if you look carefully?? Maybe these are common markings in Springers? Just thought I would post it just in case there is some scam with this seller - says Co Tyrone as well. http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/springer-spaniel/1042816592#photo-content
