A deerhound was reported lost on Quarrendon/Meadowcroft area (which is where this dog was found, its Belgrave Rd not Belgrade)its on Missing pets in buckinghamshire (England) page on facebook. I have tried phoning them but its a bit late they are not answering.

I live quite near where this dog was found and I know of two owners locally who have dogs like this. I'll look out for them and see if there's any connection.
Hopefully he'll be claimed after the weekend.

Gill - I checked the found date and this young dog was collected by the SDK stray dog wardens on the 20th at 1615. I've updated the found date to the 20th. Good likeness to Talis though.

Missing from Howsham,North Yorkshire, YO60 area, (North East) on Saturday, 21st December 2013

Friendly gentle dog and loved pet.

Thank you everyone....this looks very much like my Stanley but it is not him. He is more 'wooly'....although this dog would have a welcome home with me :)

Unless the photo of Stanley is old and he has grown a lot, Stanley is what we would call a Bedlington X. I am sure his owner has seen this one too. I will alert her to it.
