- What a heartbreaking thing to happen ... so near to having a lovely life and now no more ... I think a harness is a good idea. RIP lovely Bibi XXX

- Run free at Rainbow Bridge little Bibi :((
So very sorry for all involved.xx - 2013-12-23 20:31 Unknown
- I am a volunteer dog walker, and I find using a harness you have much more control of the dog, especially those that pull on the lead. I have walked two dogs like this When they are excited about going "Walkies":-) The owner of the dog I am walking at present puts a collar AND a harness on the dog. (Border Collie) Shereen I dont think you are mad I think it`s a good idea, and I shall bear it in mind. This was a tragic accident, and no one is to blame.

- Run free Bibi, so sorry you never got to enjoy a new start, but you are now safe & warm at Rainbow Bridge & have quite a few friends there. One day you will be reunited by all who loved you.

- So many of these poor dogs seem to get here only to escape their collars etc and get killed on our roads so so sad but as Bo has said perhaps a harness as well as a collar should be the norm from today onwards.

- To Sue when you pick up your dog in January...yes a harness (They can also slip out of these!)...but when I transport a dog ,I have a harness,joined/clipped to a collar by a lead (D rings)...and THEN a slip lead too!....people who see this and don't know what can happen think i'm mad But better to be safe!....this will not help Bibi and her owner was not to know...Just a terrible accident :(Last edited: 2013-12-23 14:03:04 by Shereen

- How very sad, my heart goes out to all those involved. We are due to pick up a rescue in January and been thinking, have read so many similar stories that a harness would be a good idea. I will definitely be getting one now. Sleep tight Bibi. X

- After all this poor dog and her rescuers have been through - I am devastated for them all. What a dreadful ending to what should have been a wonderful new life for her. :-( RIP Biblica
- 2013-12-23 11:53 Bo
- Really sad news. Perhaps these particularly vulnerable rescue dogs could be put in harness's as a future 'norm' as quite a few are lost by slipping their collars. Thoughts with all who loved her.
