I have had several sightings now, but so far have not found Kira and dont know for definate if any of them were her. One in Auchinairn park, several children saw her at the Botanic Gardens, with a woman there telling me she thinks she saw Kira with a hair cut and then she was seen in Cranhill, - but turns out to be a similar dog. If you are still looking for your dog too - contact all the pet groomers, I have now done this to learn that many have scanners for the mirco chip. thanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for that, we had wondered if she would try despite it being a long way and have been in contact with Bothwell but not the South Lanarkshire one. thanks again I managed to get an appeal on the radio today so am really hoping something positive comes out of that. If you now live in Hamilton, would she have been trying to make her way there? You should keep trying the Scottish SPCA Bothwell Bridge in Hamilton 01698 281128, there may be a mobile number on the answering service also. And try the South Lanarkshire Dog warden service (its an 01355 number, in yellow pages under Environmental Health). Good Luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can you offer me advice on contacting smaller rescues i.e. should i be visiting them to see if Kira is there. I have been reading information which shows that some places only keep dogs for 3 days? Thanks JxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for all your support, I really miss her, she is my baby. There is some positive news in that a neighbour thinks he saw her on the open grass area i used to walk with her on the Friday and didnt shout her because he didnt know at the time she was missing. However, it is a bit strange as i dont understand why she wouldnt go back to my mums or grandads house (they live on the same street where i used to live with, with my mum) as it is not far from there. I now live in Hamilton so i dont know if Kira thinks she can find me by wandering around, but everyone in the area knows she is missing now, which makes me think someone may have stolen her. All the positive messages and reunited tales are what is keeping me going. JxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
