- Absolutely devastating news that Mac was found this afternoon so close to home and has gone to Rainbow Bridge. My deepest sympathy to Anne and Andy for all that they did reaching out to so many people. We have all been very touched by this, but tragically it should end so sadly. Run free at Rainbow Bridge you beautiful boy...your star will shine brightly ever more. xxxx

- I live in the area so will keep my eyes peeled when out walking my collies. Have also put picture on Facebook. Hope you have some good news soon. Have passed details around dog training/agility friends and emailed our vets at North Thoresby. Unfortunately I don't have a printer to print posters. I can inform NE Lincs Council dog wardens if you haven't already when I go to work tomorrow

- Please can I ask everyone, everywhere to keep an eye out for Mac. Extensive searches everywhere, with everybody local notified and not a sight or sound. He has just vanished. He might have been picked up and now, could be in your area. Mac's mummy has created a wonderful FB page with more pictures 'Mac the Missing Black Labrador'
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mac-the-Missing-Black-Labrador/1452282511658752
so please I urge you to notify his family if you see or find a Labrador like Mac. He is chipped....... the family desperately need him home, and his old 12yr Labrador companion is missing him terribly which is of great concern. Thanks. - 2013-12-28 17:55 sallybee
- Thank you to my fellow searchers today and their lovely Spaniel - unfortunately no sightings, so Mac is still out there, somewhere. Areas covered today were North of Market Rasen - Glentham, Snitterby, Waddingham, Osgodby, Claxby and all villages/hamlets east and west off A46 between Market Rasen and Caistor. Every dog walker, horse rider and anyone in the street has been alerted to him missing. Posters are up.
If you live Nettleham, Moortown, North or South Kelsey or even Caistor, please keep an eye out for Mac.
Mac is from working stock - a stunning, fit 3 year old Black Labrador - he is micro-chipped. If you find him please contact his owner on the above number immediately.
He might have been picked up and therefore now out of the area - please keep an eye out for this stunning dog and let's try and reunite him with his family.
He has been away from home now 4 nights after the storms damaged the garden fence and his old companion is pining and not eating through missing him, and his family are very worried now for his welfare too.

- ****SEARCH PARTY NEEDED TOMORROW (28th)****

- I've been in touch and we have a search party organised for tomorrow morning. If anyone who lives local to LN7 (Market Rasen, Glentham, Waddingham and area) please contact owner on above number. This is a vast area to search - very rural and several roads so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
- 2013-12-27 15:50 AlisonH
- So sorry it wasn't Mac.
- 2013-12-27 13:34 sallybee
- I've just read it wasn't Mac......sharing on FB for friends in Market Rasen area as last sighting heading in that direction.
- 2013-12-27 12:01 AlisonH
- Just spoken to the owner and she has been told there is a black lab in cliff kennels but so far she has been unable to find out if it is Mac as they are not picking up the phone or returning messages.
- 2013-12-26 08:46 AlisonH
- No he didn't have a collar on.
- 2013-12-26 01:07 sallybee
- OK thnx. I'm not too far so can be over pretty quick to lend a hand if needed. Main thing is to continue searching and ask neighbours in the village/surrounding farms to keep an eye out just incase, with so much woodland around he could be seeking shelter. Is he wearing a collar?

- Sallybee I have spoken to the owner and she said to thank you for offering to help search but she doesn't think there is any point as Mac could have gone in any of 3 directions from where he went missing. The owner has been out with their other dog and the scent went dead so they think he may have been picked up by someone. She is going to ring round all the kennels, vets and councils but that will not be until Friday as they are all closed.
