- Sorry Duffs, Biscuit was found a new home by the Dogs Trust, she is recieving hydrotherapy and her injuries are healing really well. So pleased she is settled well, I do miss her terribly she is a great little dog.

- Any updates on this little girl x
- 2014-03-05 17:23 allimac
- This is such a heartwarming story, which I have only just found - is she still at the vets?
- 2014-01-29 10:34 Basildon DW
- She is so lazy with her physio, she is losing muscle mass, she can weight bear but I think she is apprehensive of doing it, she should be starting hydrotherapy in about 10 days and hopefully that will help.
- 2014-01-28 20:58 duffs54
- Love the new picture, glad all is going well xxx
- 2014-01-18 23:19 Bo
- She sounds like a fabulous dog and lucky to have you in her life. I'm enjoying the "mostly asleep" photo. Thanks for the update and great work you all do.

- Hi Bo, all is well with us thanks. Biscuit is good although a few problems, she is not weight bearing voluntarily and has lost a little weight, was a bit sore and had a bit of a temperature so she is on antibiotics, her ligaments around her knee are still sore so that could be holding her back or she is lazy!! She is extremely happy all the time so that's good. She has started some physio now. She has destroyed one of my sofa cushions and I think that is because my Lab came out to work with me for a few hours and she is a bit in love with him other than that she is a terrific loving little dog.

- Hi Sarah - Hope youre all well. How is Biscuit getting on now?

- Glad she is doing well. It's amazing what 3 good legs and a bit of determination can do. Having had a destructive thieving rescued doberman I can honestly say he taught me to put things away whilst he was alive.Last edited: 2014-01-09 11:45:37 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

- Duffs she has had a remote as well! for a dog with 3 working legs she can reach and stral really well! She went back to vets again today for first vaccine and check up and she is healing well, her stitches have come out, its going to be a slow recovery and it is frustrating for her as all she wants to do is play but we are keeping her occupied, hopefully it wont be too long before we can start physio and hydro.

- Ha ha she's a true lurcher, I took one of mine into work on a Sunday several years ago and whilst I was talking on the phone, it went dead he had only bitten through the cable! a work phone, thank god we had spares and no one ever knew!
- 2014-01-02 14:45 Bo
- She's a minx :-)

- Sorry for the lack of updates, someone whom shall remain nameless (biscuit) had chewed through my lap top cable and my blackberry has been missbehaving but was updated and cleared of glitches this morning. - 2013-12-29 18:21 Bo
- Aww bless her - looking forward to seeing her up and about and galloping round them fields again. I know we've said it before but - well done Sarah and Biscuits Vet team.
- 2013-12-29 16:57 Basildon DW
- Thanks again everyone. Biscuit is doing really well, she is able to lay down and get up by herself now and had a really settled night. Her mischievious streak is coming out today and she has started stealing thigs, very sneaky.

- To the lovely Dog Warden- please ask the vets to KEEP any excess on account for if (when) you need treatment for another dog. Thanks for your compassion.

- I can not believe that we have reached our target already! Thank you all so much for your extremely generous donations, we are really touched. Thank you Jayne for your donation and facilitating this appeal. Katie, the veterinary nurse has taken everyones phone numbers and I will pick those up on Monday and thank you all personally. Also a big thank you to all at Benfleet vets for their generosity, not just with Biscuit but all the critters I take in there. Biscuit had an unsettled night but is a lot more comfortable today and eating well and wanting to play with her toys.

- Wouldn't it be a good idea to contact a specialist rescue, to take on the fundraising and possible fostering for this little girl? Just a thought.
- 2013-12-27 17:51 Clare
- Poor girl. I will donate too. I thought they had to have her for 7 days before they could operate to give the owner a chance to step forward or sign her over ?
- 2013-12-27 17:36 Bo
- We just need to know where she has gone though as there are a few veterinary practises in that area - some one should coordinate too so we know how much is needed if that's ok?
- 2013-12-27 17:29 SISGB
- Vets should be prepared to take payments. I'll be happy to donate when we work something outLast edited: 2013-12-27 17:42:33 by SISGB

- I don't have any online accounts, so if vets set up an account for Biscuit perhaps more people would give.
- 2013-12-27 14:39 Bo
- I think either set up a "just giving" account online for her - I've never done it (set one up) but I've given to friends on it and its an easy process. The other method may be to speak to the vet treating her and see if they have a "charity" type account.
- 2013-12-27 14:38 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Best to give us the vets details and people can ring them direct with donations. No need to set up an account...Do we say Biscuit when people ring direct?
- 2013-12-27 14:28 Basildon DW
- Thanks Carol and Sharon, I shall have to try and get to the bank today to see how best to set up an account for her. Or if anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.
- 2013-12-27 12:36 Springer sharon
- Happy to donate. Let me know how
- 2013-12-27 11:49 Carol
- I will donate ,please let us know how and where xxx
- 2013-12-27 11:34 Bo
- Let me know where to donate - little girl needs a chance. Thanks for caring about her welfare to organise saving her. X
- 2013-12-27 11:10 Basildon DW
- Bo that is so kind of you. She is with the vet today with a view to have the surgery, he is kindly sponsering most of the treatment but I will need to find about £500. What with Christmas and nursing Biscuit I have not had the chance to organise any sort of fund raising but I will keep this page updated on what will be happening. Thank you Bo.
- 2013-12-27 11:04 Bo
- I'm happy to donate - please let us know
- 2013-12-27 11:03 Bo
- Will the vet treat her? Does she need donations?
- 2013-12-27 10:58 Basildon DW
- This little girl is only about 8 months old, she is a little underweight and dirty. She sustained a very nasty fracture to her femoral head and dislocation.
