There is a new chapter in Bonnie's story. In June I took in a foster girl from Ireland. Tiny is 7 and had always lived in a kennel and been used for hunting and breeding. When she arrived she was in such a poor state she could barely walk and was very bewildered just having been taken from her 11 puppies and coming into a home.
Despite the age difference, Bonnie took Tiny under her wing and devoted herself to helping Tiny adjust to life in a home. I think the tough times they've both had made them kindred spirits and they are best buddies and are always curled up lovingly together.
I'm so proud of Bonnie for helping another needy hound. She is one amazing little girl xx

Sorry for the delay updating everyone. On Thursday evening when I got home I was busy preparing for my 2 guests as Neil and Ruby(Lurcher Link foster dogs) arrived on Friday afternoon and are staying till Monday.
Here's the next Bonnie episode :  Her wound has now totally healed up however she's got a little bit of wet eczema on her leg. It's very itchy and as it's just above the last bit of her wound which has healed and the skin is quite fragile, we don't want Bonnie to nibble and damage her leg. Caroline and I talked it over and decided it was safest to put a light dressing on just for a few days. She's also got some Apoquel tablets to ease the itching. I can remove the dressing myself and Caroline has discharged Bonnie for her right leg.
We now need to work on her left leg as she doesn't weight bear on that but can use it to give you a paw and can cling onto things with her toes so clearly she has got feeling in it. We believe it's become a habit walking on 3 legs and not using it so we're going to be doing lots of physio with her and possibly hydrotherapy too xx

Bonnie is off to the vets today and I'm hoping she's going to return minus a dressing. She's having a wound check too but there is nothing at all to be seen from her spay even though it's only a week. Caroline has done an amazing job xx

Bonnie is very settled here and is obsessed with me, which is understandable considering the amount of time we've spent together making her well again.
She's still got a long way to go getting her left leg sorted so by that time it may well be far too difficult to consider moving her to another home........
If Bonnie does stay with us, I'll do a book of her amazing story, complete with photos and as she's so good with people, will take her out on meet and greets to raise funds for other unfortunate dogs which find themselves needing special veterinary care to ensure they survive xx

It's Auntie Caroline, the practice owner who will be doing her op. She's the wonderful vet who has treated Bonnie's leg and she's very protective and possessive of Bonnie so won't let anyone else treat her.
Any procedure with anaesthetic is worrying so it's reassuring to know Caroline is doing Bonnie's operation xx

She's never still. I had a devil of a job getting her to sit still for that photo on the sofa :-)
Bonnie is off to be spayed tomorrow. We've not done her yet as we've not wanted to stress her and reduce her healing on her right leg but now her leg is nearly healed we think the time is right. Please keep her in your thoughts tomorrow. I will update you on how she is once I get her home and settled xx

Bonnie's latest photos of her leg are on Lurcher Link and the wound has shrunk again. It is tiny now - looks like a little raspberry. She's booked to go next Thursday to have her dressing changed again and we're hoping that she won't be needing another dressing on :-)) xx

Bonnie won't be discharged from the vets for a while yet as she's still not using her left leg properly so until she's fully sorted she won't be going anywhere :-) xx

I have posted the latest photos of Bonnie's leg on Lurcher Link and when you compare the photos from last week there is a significant improvement. Caroline's really pleased with her and says it shouldn't be much longer now until it's fully healed.  Bonnie's been having lots of fun this week. Up until now we have been very careful with her leg, with it having a wound on it, but now it's so nearly healed we've had her off lead in the garden and she's been playing with my dogs. Maisy, my dobe, thinks Bonnie is wonderful and they've had lots of bitey faces and chasing games together. Bonnie has been really good throughout her treatment but she was starting to get a little bit bored. It is understandable after 3 months having her leg bandaged. It's been wonderful to see her running round the garden enjoying herself and getting rid of some of her pent up energy.

Because it's been nearly a week since her last dressing change there is a HUGE improvement in Bonnie's leg. All that's left to heal now is a small circular patch. If you look at the photo on Lurcher Link you can see the extent of her initial wound from the scarring on her leg.
We're back next Monday for her next dressing change so maybe by then it may be fully healed! :-))
Bonnie had her 2nd vaccination on her visit so soon we will be able to take her out for walks xx

Bonnie's been back to the vets today and they're really pleased how the wound is continuing to heal.
Bonnie is getting a little bit frustrated this week as I'm looking after Lucky, my dad's dog, and she is desperate to play and go out on walks with him. Because she couldn't join him yesterday when I took him out, she decided to have a temper tantrum and I came back to find she had thrown all the scatter cushions from the sofas on to the floor, along with the drip bag and bandages we use to wrap her leg when she goes out. She didn't damage anything, and I have to be honest, it did make me smile. Now that her wounds are doing so well, all the energy which was going towards her healing is now surplus to requirements, so I think we could be in for some fun over the coming weeks.

Bonnie's back to her usual incredibly quick healing again :-). Last week when she had that bug, she did heal well but it was noticeably slower than normal, although it was still well above average. The nurse discharging her yesterday said she's the bravest and quickest healing dog they've had. Apart from one dressing change when Bonnie required stitches in her left leg and had an anaesthetic, every dressing change has been done with her conscious. Her courage is amazing.
We still have some funds in our PayPal account and some in a fund raising account so are coping until the bank sort out the hacking. We've had another dog from the same vets Bonnie came from come into out care and he's had to have his front leg amputated yesterday so hopefully things will get sorted quickly as we've got more large vet bills to pay.

Sad to report this is by no way the first mistake Barclays have made. I had a problem with them about 15 months ago when they allowed (my) money to be taken out of an account the police had already told them was being used for fraud. They did refund my money, thankfully, but obviously their security is open to question. It's still really low for anyone to try and steal this money, given in good faith for Bonnie's treatment. Hope it will soon be sorted out.

Kaye of LL. so me people can sink even a lot lower than that Kaye. Such as people getting mugged in wheelchairs etc. I personally dont even bank online at all. I tried to pay a vet bill today only to have the LL card declined

I went home and checked the online statement - we only had £36 in the LL account

On checking through everything, someone has "hacked" into our account and set up loads of DDs over the last month or so. Barclays have started to sort it out for us and said we should get the money back, but how low can some people get?

It's not like they're taking money off ME and I'll have to go without something.............this is money we spend on vet bills, food etc so it's taking it off the DOGS :-(

Due to this we are no longer able to post the LL bank details on any site for donations:-(. However if you still wish to donate to Bonnie's Leg appeal you can do so directly to Vets4Pets in Barnsley on 01226 289000.

Another successful vet trip. Bonnie has a much smaller bandage on now - hopefully it won't be long before she is not wearing one. The last bit is always the most difficult to get to heal though.
The vet checked her over and was happy she was well enough to start her vaccinations. There are too many nasty diseases around to risk leaving her unprotected much longer. We've come so far and to lose her now would be devastating.

Sorry I didn't update last night but I had to pick up an emergency puppy who needed to come into foster.
Bonnie's wound is continuing to shrink and the vets are really pleased. She had a scan at the vets yesterday and thankfully no sign of a pyo but a lot of activity so probably won't be long before she comes into season.
Poor girl was still under the weather and was sick while she was there so had an injection to prevent her being sick on the long drive home. She was quiet all the day and wouldn't eat.
This morning she's been out and after starting to hand feed her some Chappie, she finished the bowl herself so looks like she's starting to feel better.

Hope to God she hasn't got pyometra. Our Stella caught it before her first season, and had to have the operation, otherwise she would have died. Fortunately we were insured, and they met the cost of nearly £900. Even if we hadn't had been insured, I would have found the money from somewhere.

She's definitely not going anywhere for a long while yet. I know we've virtually used up all the donations sent to the vets. We're a couple of pounds in credit.
Bonnie was going for a dressing change tomorrow which is usually about £50 and now she's going to need more antibiotics plus the vet is considering doing a scan to rule out she's not got pyometra.

My brave little girl is under the weather. Not wanted to eat all day and her poo was loose this morning. Finally got her to have some cooked meat at tea time but she's very quiet and is looking very worried. Laid here with her head on my knee.
I've spoken to her vet and I've got all the meds here the vet could give her and she's had those so just got to wait and see now.
She's been so brave with her leg so know she really must be feeling rough to be so quiet.

Bonnie has been chipped now. She's normally so confident and skips into the vets but despite Darren and I being with her she was a very worried little girl when we took her inside.
The staff were lovely with her but she totally ignored them and cuddled up to me. Darren could not bear to look as they put the chip into his little princess. As soon as they'd injected the chip, Darren carried her straight back to the car, while I did the paperwork.
She's snuggled up on her sofa now and is back to her normal happy self.

Bonnie is off to the local pound this afternoon........


She's not going to be a resident, she's going because they've got a free microchipping event today from 12:00 until 4:30, which we are going to take advantage of.

Gill, the owner of Mount Pleasant Kennels, was very helpful when we initially became aware of Bonnie's plight and she never got to see Bonnie, so she is looking forward to meeting her this afternoon.

Another successful vet trip today. Caroline says the wound must be really itchy now so it is not surprising Bonnie is wanting to chew her dressing. They have used a slightly different dressing today as the wound is not producing any fluid at all. As Caroline said, we are so nearly there.
We are now starting to make plans to have Bonnie spayed and vaccinated.

That's an idea. I've got a terrible cold so have used my Vicks Vaporub and that's certainly dettered her :-).
Can't wait to see the photos of her wound tomorrow as after having her dressing on for longer, the wound will really have had chance to heal.

Bonnie is being really good and leaving her dressing alone so if we can get to Monday before her leg is redressed, we should see some really good healing.
I do have lots of dogs of my own which Bonnie would need to get on with, if I were to keep her. As yet, I've not introduced them as I've been careful to keep her away from my other dogs to make sure they don't knock her legs or try to mess with her dressings. I know my greyhound, Onyx, would try to mother her and would have tried to lick her injured legs.

We've had a few unexpected vet trips with Bonnie. She's always such a good girl with her dressings but on Tuesday evening she started to chew her bandage. Despite extra pain relief and piriton to to ease any itching due to it healing, she was still chewing it on Wednesday morning so I knew sth wasn't right so I took her back to the vets.
It turned out her dressing had slipped and was irritating her and that was the reason she'd been chewing it. Caroline said the nappy dressing was much drier so her leg is getting to the final stage of healing.
They decided to lower the dressing on her leg slightly but unfortunately it was just too tempting for Bonnie and she kept nibbling it.
Today I was doing last rehearsals with children singing in the Young Voices concert at Sheffield Arena so was worried about leaving Bonnie so she went to doggy day care at the vets so someone could keep their eye on her. Everyone there loves her and it's like her second home now.
Bonnie had made her dressing slip so Caroline put a new one on but didn't touch the wound. We're so close to it being healed now :-)

Bonnie loves eveyone but she's very bonded with me and when I'm around the only person she wants is me. When I go to the vets to pick her up she comes running to me, jumps into my arms and smothers me with kisses :-))

I think Bonnie was a kangaroo in a previous life as she has so much strength in her back legs. She literally jumps straight up onto the sofa and also does the same when she's getting into my car. She can walk round upright on her back legs like a meerkat.......she's amazing xx

Caroline, her vet, has said at the rate it is healing it will be less than a month before her leg is fully healed. She said she has never seen a de-gloving wound, like Bonnie's, heal so quickly. She really is a miracle girl.
Her wound is still producing a lot of fluid, which is highly unusual at this stage in the healing process. However, Caroline believes it is due to this that the wound is healing so incredibly quickly, coupled with the fact it also has a really good blood supply. We are still using special dressings to draw the fluid from the wound.
As a precaution, to prevent any infection, we are keeping her on her antibiotics, as we've come so far, and are so close to it fully healing, that we don't want anything to go wrong at this stage.
I'm going to monitor Bonnie this week and decide whether to take her in on Thursday or Friday for a dressing change. Obviously it would be better to wait until Friday, as every time we change the dressing we set the healing process back 12 hours. However, the longer we leave it, there is then a possibility of the fluid, which is being drawn from the wound into the special nappy dressing, causing an infection in the wound on her leg. So therefore, as you will realise, managing her wound is quite a difficult process.

I have just been reading about how well bonnie is getting on with her carer.Its nice to see how much she has come on since that day she was injured just down the road from me.It sounds like she has found someone who she realy loves and loves her in the short time since she was born.It would be a real shame to up root her again when she is 100% better.I think she should be made a permanent family member with her carer.Well done both of you.Give a big hug and kisses of me please.xx

Bonnie's just been out for a walk and she's so strong now on the lead. So different from the little girl who laid helplessly on her bed in our bedroom on New Year's eve.
We're back at the vets tomorrow for her dressing to be changed and I'm looking forward to seeing how the wound is healing :-)

She is in the homeless hounds so everyone can find her easily and follow her progress. Normally we'd put Bonnie in the chat section on our forum but only members can see that section.
Bonnie's still got lots of vet visits ahead of her so I will keep updating you. Her chance to recover is all down to the generosity of all the wonderful people who have donated towards her care.
When Bonnie's recovered we'll have to take her on a tour to meet all the people who've donated and followed her progress x

The vets can't believe how well this little girl is healing. Today, they cleaned and flushed the wound and have applied another honey dressing on it. They said the scar tissue is closing the wound nicely. She wasn't as uncomfortable today so the vets didn't need to sedate her, thankfully.

They've taken the stitches out of her left leg and have said that has healed beautifully

Yes, you can still donate towards Bonnie's treatment. I'm actually doing the physio myself with her at home as it needs to be done daily but Bonnie will be going for many months ahead to the vets for her wounds cleaned and redressed.
I can't tell you how much we appreciate the kindness people have shown in sending donations and continuing to ask about Bonnie. Thank you so much. If you could meet her, I know you would agree she's so worth it.

I'm sooo pleased with Bonnie. I was working today for a few hours and when I came home she was really excited to see me and jumped up and placed both paws on my chest and stretched out her toes on her left leg....fully extended them. :-))

Bonnie jumped into the car boot herself this morning. She's so independent :)
Her right leg is continuing to improve. It's got a really good blood supply which is why it's healing so well. Unfortunately because it's healing, she's getting the feeling back in it so it was a little bit uncomfortable for her today but she was still a really good girl and let them clean her leg and redress it.
She's back for her next dressing change in Friday and they may sedate her so it's not painful for her as the more it heals, the more feeling she will have in it.

My cat has made a full recovery so that part of the story is correct. My vet is confident Bonnie's badly de-gloved right leg will heal fully and be normal apart from scarring so she should have a future now whereas this time a fortnight ago her prospects weren't promising.
Everyone who knows me knows I do have a soft spot for black dogs so we'll see what happens as Bonnie is only small so would be very easy to keep :-))

Bonnie's had fun this morning. It's very slippery here due to the frost. Bonnie soon worked out that her right leg slipped on the grass due to the drip bag on it to keep it dry. She kept her right leg on the floor and then ran with her back legs to push herself across the lawn. She loved it, bless her :-))

When my other half saw Bonnie's wounds it brought tears to his eyes. He couldn't believe a dog with such severe injuries could be just getting on with life. Bonnie really is an inspiration. Every time I look at her she makes me smile.
I couldn't ask for a better patient and the vets agree. It does take a lot of time looking after her but I'm always rewarded with kisses and cuddles.
As a toddler my life was saved by the greyhound my parents had rescued as a pup. If it wasn't for our greyhound I wouldn't be here so I've always been drawn to helping sighthounds in need.

LL are lost for words at the kindness and generosity of people towards Bonnie. I'm sure if Bonnie met all the people who have donated, she would give each and every one a kiss to thank them.
I know Bonnie has had lots of wonderful homes offered but she will be with be for a long time until she fully recovers. When she first arrived we really were worried she wouldn't make it but her fighting spirit and determination have astounded all of us. Life is for living and there was no way Bonnie was going to let 2 badly damaged legs get in her way.

Bonnie was so sweet when I took her to the vets today. The nurse started to walk her off to have her leg redressed and she turned round and pulled back towards me. I bent down to see what was wrong with her and she kissed me and then turned round and hobbled off with the nurse :)

Caroline, my vet said the wound has reduced in size by 15%. It looks so much better. Got to go back on Monday for the next dressing change.

This time a week ago Bonnie was laid on a bed, barely able to move. She's just been out for a little bedtime stroll and come in and dived onto the sofa with a chew :-)
She's doing so well but she's still got months and months of expensive treatment ahead of her if she's to make a full recovery.

Thank you for that Bo. Besides being a 24 hour practice, my Vets4Pets also has an award winning hydrotherapy unit so Bonnie may well end up using that once her legs heal.
Forgot to tell you, this morning Bonnie jumped over the baby gate to come find me as she needed to go out for a wee :-))

Sorry for late reply but had a very poorly cat so only just settled him down.
Vets are amazed with Bonnie's right leg and how well it is healing. Given her another lot of ABs to ensure we don't get any infection but are very optimistic it will heal.
The even better news is that her left leg is regaining feeling :)I've got various physio exercises to do with her and specific massages too but she's got deep pain sensation in it now.
She's going to be hitting the gym.......well my gym to be precise and going on the treadmill and the power plate to aid in her healing too.
Back again on Thursday for next dressing change.

Bonnie is very intelligent. She lifted up her right leg this morning for me to put the drip bag on before she went for a potter outside :-)
You couldn't wish for a happier, easier dog to care for. She really is a joy, a real treasure.

Bonnie has amazed me yet again today......she's been out for a little walk. She saw me with a lead in my hand and jumped off the sofa wagging her tail. We went for a little stroll and Bonnie loved it. Little Miss Hopalong had lots of people stopping to look at her and she adored all the attention :-)

Bonnie had a settled night. She kept alternating between both sofas in her room - she loves her home comforts :-).
Her wounds on her right leg are 100% better than this time last week after the accident so let's hope they continue to progress as well.

I will contact your friend Mishybird. Besides the honey dressings at the vets, I'm also giving Bonnie Manuka honey as have used it previously with wonderful results on my greyhound girl who came on foster with a horrific injury to her front leg, after an RTA.

Julie, Please speak to my friend who runs kennels and a rescue, She has an EBT who almost lost his leg as being used for bait. When I picked Bonnie up from the vets today she walked out of the consultation room to greet me.....I could've cried. She's so brave and doesn't let anything get in her way.
She's back at the vets on Monday for another dressing change.

Update from lurcher link from today's vet visit and I quote;

"I'm off to pick Bonnie up shortly from the vets. The vet is really pleased with how the wounds on her right leg are healing and she does seem to be regaining some feeling in her left leg. As always Bonnie has been a little superstar. All the staff are in love with her.
They've taken more photos of her wound so I'll put them on later. Lots of healing thoughts needed please for this little angel so that both her legs recover."

Bonnie is back at the vets again today to have her leg redressed again. The vet took photos for us yesterday and the wounds are horrific. I've posted them on the Lurcher Link forum as a link as some people would find them very upsetting. The vet did say it's the worst de-gloving case she's seen.
The problem is her left leg seems to be completely numb and that is causing concern as it may have to be amputated if there is no improvement. Obviously her de-gloved right leg is bad too but we're hoping that will heal over time. However, if that goes necrotic and the left leg isn't working either, we may be faced with only one option :-((
It's vital we have regular dressing changes to stand any chance of saving her right leg and her life. It's so painful for Bonnie they're having to sedate her each time and so with the costs of sedation and special dressings the vet bill will mount up very quickly so I'm hoping donations continue to come in for Bonnie so we can provide the treatment she deserves.
She's so brave and hasn't moaned once despite her terrible wounds. She really is an amazing little girl.

Bonnie had a good night. Slept in our room so we could keep a close eye on her. She's starting to hobble around a little bit now which is very promising considering how badly injured her front legs are.
Back at the vets for another check up tomorrow and dressing change. Thank you again to all the people who are sending donations for this sweet little girl so that we can ensure she receives the veterinary care she needs to make her well again xxx

That's really kind of you - thank you so much. I'll give Bonnie a hug from you. She's receiving the right treatment now but it's going to be a long journey till she's fully recovered so we're grateful for all donations to help with the cost of her care.
She's relaxing now on my sofa, bless her and at least this little girl has got a safe future now she's with us at Lurcher Link.

All good news, Bonnie is now under the ownership of Lurcher Link, who have kindly taken her on and the costs involved, care and future needs. She will stay with the current vets until the morning and then be moved onto the Lurcher links vets to be fully checked over and give the correct treatment and care that is required. She cant walk at the moment, both front legs are bandaged up and stapples are visable on the leg at the top. Out of respect to Lurcher link I will not post the most recent photos of bonnie so they can put them on there web site, please check there site over next few days I'm sure they will be up on there. I think that's about it, the bloke is feeling a bit guilty now that he didn't help me out sooner and has had me running round tracking down over two villages, now my 3 rottis will get more then one walk day instead of having to deal with him.. Hi Guys, just a quick update, I'm colleting the owners at 6.40pm so I'm at the vets for 7pm when they open, as soon as I know more I will update will full correct details, things are a little up in the air, I've copied and pasted this next bit to save time - latest thing is he's changed his mind it's not his dog then again it might be his dog???? make your mind up....his mates have said it's defiantly his dog, he said it's his dog to start with, he's sign the dog over saying it's his dog....so who knows..he wants the dog but doesn't want to pay any costs,wants everybody to pay so he can have the dog back free..

Lurcher link offered yesterday to take this girl so she is sure of.a safe pace with them but the issue has been that the owner must identify she is his dog at the vets before this can happen .

Jumanji - I had ths battle with Merseyside dog wardens a couple of years ago when they said i could not look after a dog i found - I quoted the law below... and kept her safe and warm.

29. Any person who finds and takes a stray dog to the local authority can request to keep the dog under section 150(2) of the 1990 Act. The Regulations specify that if the finder requests to keep the dog he must give his name and address to the officer. The officer must make reasonable attempts to contact the owner to give him reasonable opportunity to collect the dog.
30. The Regulations also require the officer to determine whether the finder is a suitable person to keep the dog. The officer must inform the finder verbally and in writing that he is obliged to keep the dog (if unclaimed by the owner) for at least one month and that failure to comply with that obligation is a criminal offence. The maximum penalty on summary conviction is level 2 on the standard scale.

Having said all of that - I'm sure Doncaster Dog wardens services are lovely people who will do all they can to get this young dog the help she needs, at no expense to the residents of Doncaster.

With regard obtaining a 28 day retained by finder agreement my understanding is that this council do not use this system as this has arisen in the past with Doncaster dogs .

Gill - Good to hear that Bonnie is stable. Worse case scenario is after 7 days then the dog can be rehomed. Another point of law - the "finder" of the dog may keep hold of the dog for 28 days if the owner isn't technically found. I'm clutching at straws now. Perhaps another dog warden could advise to see if there was a way round this issue.

Update - police wont do anything about this, tried sat night.. already been to this blokes house and his mums house in the next village this morning, he's in bed and won't get up.. 9.00am and 10.30am... I'm working on getting his girlfiends number, I've got all day to track him down again and get him / her to the vets after 7pm as that's when the out of hr will be bak on and it's them that are dealing with it. The vets have been in contact with me this morning all is well and she is stable.. a step closer i'll work on this again all day. day 3..

Given that it is a criminal offence to abandon a dog could the Police be contacted? Maybe a knock on the doot from them with some information about the possible penalty might encourage this delightful man to do the right thing! I too would be willing to donate to her treatment once this is all sorted. Last resort - ?bribary - or shouldn't I say that???

The vets concerned has said this morning that Bonnie is stable and the vet concerned with her treatment is willing to transport Bonnie herself to the next vet that will be taking over her care BUT the owner HAS to go there to identity her. The Vet concerned has been on duty all night and has gone home to sleep so the owner needs to go to identify her in time for the vet coming back on duty .
Gill is trying to locate the owner who isnt answering his phone or front door at the moment x

Gill - perhaps our "Jonny and his delightful girlfriend are unaware of the law pertainining to Abandonment of animals act 1960 which is still valid;
If any person being the owner or having charge or control of any animal shall without reasonable cause or excuse abandon it, whether permanently or not, in circumstances likely to cause the animal any unnecessary suffering, or cause or procure or, being the owner, permit it to be so abandoned, he shall be guilty of an offence of cruelty within the meaning of the principal Act and liable to the penalties prescribed by subsection (1) of section one of that Act, and the provisions of the Protection of Animals Acts shall apply to an offence under this section as they apply to an offence against the said subsection (1).

Jayne, she's called Bonnie, 10 - 11 month old max, the owner Jonny has only had her just over a week, he won't go to id her, he's busy...I still on the case with him and his girlfriend, I've also fb the dog warden with the pictures of her last week and that i'e got all the owners address details, hope she gets back to me, i'll call the dw tomorrow morning.or should I say in 5.5hrs time.

Hi Guys, I'm the lady that took the dog to the vets,i didn't run her over stopped to help. Just an update, I'm having difficulty getting the dog released, and the owner is a complete plank.... the vets wanted proof of ownership photo etc, I've managed to get hold of 2, they are not very good but shows Bonnie head on one, and head / part body on the other, she is with his girlfriend, I'm doing another door knock tomorrow morning and insisting they come with me to the vets, I also have her collar that he had at home. I'm incontact with lurcher link, and will also speak to the dog warden tomorrow morning, explaining what this block / plank is like. I could scream, just had a message off the owner he is not willing to come to the vets to id her....arhhhh

My sister is a policewoman and she tells me that the dog can be signed over to the vet by the owner and then the vet can sign it over to the rescue. Either way- good to hear she is still alive if not stable. My sister of course, could be wrong.

I've spoken to the vet tonight and this lass isn't stable enough to be transferred yet, so she's staying put overnight.Tomorrow the vets need to speak to the DW to try and sort out the legality of it all. We've said we'll take her on, but the owner needs to go and ID her and sign her over to us first. She's safe for the mo anyway :D K

Update just spoken to someone who has called the vets, she is NOT going to be PTS. They are still hoping the owner will come forward. Lurcher Link have offered to rescue her if the owners are not found. I think other rescues are also willing to take her. I will keep you posted if I hear anything else

Hi I posted this on behalf of the person who found her as she was unable to get on here. The dog is at the vets below. From what I can gather they will only take payments if the dog has an owner due to the ongoing care she will need. Hope something can be done for this little girl
