I met up with Nichola a couple of days ago to help for an hour taking leaflets to local houses. I was absolutely upset when she text me today to let me know what had happened. My thoughts go out to the family xxx

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Devastated to have to update with the news that Chilli's body has been found on the rail-lines this morning.

Her owners have been overwhelmed by the help and support they have received in their tireless search for Chilli and would like to say THANK YOU to all who have helped in their search.

Nicola I am gutted for you and your family - you could not have tried harder to bring her home safe. My thoughts are with you and the family at this desperately sad time.

RIP little Chilli - run free at the bridge sweetheart. :((( xxx

Helen, that dog looks be a Labrador not a Golden Retriever, shame tho - hope Chilli is found soon - weather is filthy here and the River Dee has burst its banks in loads of places. Stay safe Chilli x

Thanks all for your help.

I have spoken to Chilli's owner earlier this evening and given advice. There have been some possible sightings of Chilli not far from where she was lost, and her owner will be back in the area again seaching tomorrow. Polarbear - if you are local and able to help with searching, I'm sure the help would be greatly appreciated as her owner live some miles away. If you could call Chilli's owner to confirm where the search help is needed, they are co-ordinating the search.

Dog wardens, vets and local rescues have all been informed that Chilli is missing and her owners have put posters up around the area today.

All crossed Chilli will be found and home safe very soon. x

Any news on this pup? I live fairly local in Saighton and would be happy to help in any way needed. Have there been any sightings? I could go out tomorrow to have a good look with my goldie. This is not far from the Grosvenor Estate which covers a great deal of land - it may be worth contacting the estate office to see if there have been any sightings. I could do this this as I am a tenant of the estate. How old is this dog? please give an exact location with postcode when she went missing - will wait to hear but can be out first thing in the morning. x
