- We think there has been another sighting of Sophie very close to where she originally went missing. The sighting was by a local in between Huckworthy Bridge and Walkhampton which sounds very positive. The dog sighted fits Sophie's description and was very nervous.Last edited: 2014-10-24 12:44:37 by Selina - Area Co-ordinator - South Devon

- Sadly the recent sightings have proved to be another springer escaping his garden. This boy is back with his owners and the local dog warden has had a chat with them, he is already under veterinary care for his sore back. Just sorry it wasn't Sophie.

- Sorry to see Sophie is still missing but great she is being sighted again. Can I suggest if you haven't already done so, to heavily poster between the areas she has been sighted. Posters really do help. Also if you get more sightings on the same streets maybe someone could go and put a little food down (strong smelling, like sardines) for her in a safe place close to where she is sighted and sit and watch for a few hours to see if she comes. Lighting a bbq with some sausages cooking may draw her to the area. I will keep checking for updates and sharing on fb. Stay safe Sophie xxLast edited: 2014-10-14 19:16:39 by BBKM

- Thanks very much for all suggestions, we did contact the the local Hunt, but as of yet no joy.
- 2014-05-29 07:39 Lin Iddon
- Has anyone contacted the local hunt? When I lost one of my spaniels they emailed all local landowners and farmers, which covered a huge area very quickly. That's when the phones started ringing and the dog was found safe and sound.

- I've been watching the ads in the paper, can you make them more specific to area so more people look out for her? Unfortunately by saying seen in Plymouth area, that is a massive area when it can be made much more specific and people will then look out for her more closely in that area. Hope you find her soon, when was the last positive sighting?
- 2014-04-13 19:15 Natalia Rolleston
- Sightings of Sophie have been repeatedly reported everyday from early morning and dusk for the last week near Crownhill Plymouth, around Eggbuckland in particularly on Goosewell Hill road. She has been seen at the start of the week with a chewed blue rope around her neck, it has been suggested by wardens that she may have been stolen and till now has been kept tied up, it is thought that she may have been given a new name of Rosie, The fear is that she is very nervous and confused and with A38 very close she may be run over, a report from a bus driver was that he almost ran over a stray dog fitting her description early last week on the A38, we will update with any new information as it comes in.Last edited: 2014-04-13 19:47:04 by Natalia Rolleston

- I've spoken to owners and sent advice. She went missing from some woods close to the house. They heard her barking from the woods but she never returned.
Sophie could have followed a scent and become lost or someone may have picked her up. Owners are following every lead and the area is postered and locals are aware - 2014-03-06 20:45 Moogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
- How did she go missing? Has the area been heavily postered?
