- Oh no, how terribly sad. So many being lost to water recently, most probably due to the awful flooding. I am so very, very sorry and my thoughts are with the family at this distressing time, but who do now have closure. Zak was a beautiful dog, and obviously a much loved dog. Run free at the bridge dear Zak, where my four springers will be waiting to play xxxx

- Zak was found today and unfortunately, as we feared, he had drowned in the river. At least we know where he is now and that he's not suffering and it brings some closure to our anguish. We have many fond memories of him to keep. He was a lovely, lovely dog.
We can't express our thanks and gratitude enough to everyone who has helped find Zak. We are deeply touched.
Please pass on this information to anyone helping who may not see this message.
Thank you again. Trevor, Karen and family. - 2014-01-08 22:27 sas2506

- Managed to print of 4 posters before printer failed again, have put these in, Towcester Vets, Beechwood Vets, Village shop in Silverstone, Tesco have changed there policy (no posters) but have put 1 up in there staff room.Just a thought, if someone can print more posters the Council Depot in Old Tiffield Road would be good location as all the refuse trucks leave from there to surrounding villages on bin day's

- Thank you Nickhoneys. Whilst Zak was on his morning walk on Monday over fields between Greens Norton and Bradden, he doubled back and headed for the river. He was out of sight and we're not sure if he was carried downstream (which flows to Towcester) or ran in a different direction. He is very familiar with the area and has never gone far from us on a walk before and would almost definitely know his way home (unless he was in a field he couldn't get out of).
Thank you for your help. We are going out to look again this morning and it's very comforting to know that there are lots of people looking out for him too. - 2014-01-08 09:47 Nickhoneys
- So sorry to see Zak missing. I live in Towcester and have 2 springers and im sure we have bumped into Zac a couple of times when you have been walking. I have printed off some posters, put one up at work and handed out some 2 a couple of dog walkers this morning as i took the scenic route to work. What are the circumstances of him going missing? Is he close to home and could find his way home? Cant leave work for a couple of days but if hes not home then happy to help search with my 2. Can you narrow down the area he went missing as quite a few footpaths in this area. The word is spreading locally on facebook and twitter so hopefully the more people aware the more chance of finding him. xxx
