- Thanks Bo, lovely happy photos! Happy to chip in :-) Hopefully Boss can get along to a free chip event somewhere, give Keith some peace of mind should Boss go off adventuring again :-)
- 2014-01-14 12:28 Bo
- Hannah (from animal control) sent me these pictures. Boss was very excited to be back with his owner Keith, and Keith very relieved. Hannah went above and beyond her job to help us sort this out and I'm really grateful to her for making it happen quicker for us. She was also great at calling me back and letting me know what was going on. The hostel staff who look after the homeless were fantastic too - it was very humbling for me.
Thanks to everyone for dipping into their pockets for Boss. To Boss and his dad, you've changed their world. XxLast edited: 2014-01-14 12:29:21 by Bo - 2014-01-14 11:02 Bo

- 2014-01-13 21:44 Unknown
- My payment went through! It's ok ladies I'll go barefoot from now on lol x
- 2014-01-13 19:39 Springer sharon
- Yes, took me three attempts for the payment to go through. Gilly P, let's hope the sun shines soon and you can get your flip flops out soon. I own a florist in Wimborne , Dorset and the river is about to burst its banks so I'm afraid I shall be needing my boots otherwise you could have had mine lol !

- 2014-01-13 18:47 MillieVW - Area Volunteer - West Wiltshire
- Yep he's all paid up, had great fun trying to pay my bit, system just kept saying no... I think it knew I was meant to be out the door already lol. Sorry for rushed message earlier, meant to say I spoke to Hannah who said it was too late in the day to reunite but that they wouldn't be looking to add charges for tomorrow. Very kind :-) Last edited: 2014-01-13 18:47:48 by MillieVW - Area Volunteer - West Wiltshire

- I like boss. Great name. So is he all paid up now x
- 2014-01-13 18:23 Springer sharon
- That's all ok then. They assured me I had cleared the balance but just looking back I couldn't make things add up!! The last thing I want is for this poor boy not to be with his dad having a cuddle just like I'm about to do with my boys x
- 2014-01-13 18:21 Bo
- Millie paid £20 as well so that would have reduced from the £56 to the £36 you paid.
Great result Team Boss. XLast edited: 2014-01-13 18:21:57 by Bo - 2014-01-13 18:21 ClaireC

- 2014-01-13 18:19 Bo
- Sharon - Hannah rang me about 1525 and she said all of the money had been paid up. She also rang the hostel to tell them that. I think that the council (bless them) may have let us off the extra.... Or someone else may have contributed without us knowing.

- £56 short. They won't be adding any more fees for tomorrow so that helps! Just waiting for payment team to ring and I will pay £20 xx
- 2014-01-13 14:39 MillieVW - Area Volunteer - West Wiltshire
- So annoying as technically his release fee has been paid by yourself, so just vet fees partially paid :-(
- 2014-01-13 14:38 Bo
- Dogs in the pound. Council won't release the dog without payment unfortunately.
- 2014-01-13 14:35 MillieVW - Area Volunteer - West Wiltshire
- Which vets is the dog being treated by? Can someone speak to them about the remaining amount? We have fellow hostel residents who are happy to help with a fiver each but not all will have it today. Surely they can make an exception?
- 2014-01-13 14:30 MillieVW - Area Volunteer - West Wiltshire

- I thought hannah said the cost is now covered?
- 2014-01-13 14:23 Bo
- Just spoke to Hannah - I've paid £79, GillyP £50 and no one else had rung in yet. Could anyone else help as if not paid soon it goes up another days fees :-(.

You are wonderful people. But please can you clarify? Is this thread about 2 seperate dog? Jack ( belonging to Lee who isnt homeless but needed help ) + another dog, a Lab belonging to a homeless man?
2014-01-13 13:23 GillyP
Done!
2014-01-13 13:15 MillieVW
Well done! Can we get him chipped with hostel as contact number? Would save lots of heartache in future :-)
2014-01-13 13:09 GillyP
Spoken with Hannah and someone is calling me back to make the payment. She said the cost is now covered. YAY!!
2014-01-13 13:05 Bo
I've just had the payment team ring me and paid the £79. I told the lady others would be ringing Hannah soon etc etc. there's an old dog and homeless team going to be very happy tonight. Thanks to all doesn't even cover my feelings right now. I'm just off out to take my 3 to the beach. Back in about 80 mins for catch up. Xx
2014-01-13 13:02 Bo
GillyP - star you are but £50 plenty. Hannah has been fabulous so here's what she needs us to do. Please ring Hannah via 01803 696900 - you will speak to an operator who will put you through to Hannah (just say its re the homeless mans dog). She will then take your details ref home address etc and get someone in payments to call you back. Xxxx
2014-01-13 12:51 GillyP
Ill give £64.00 then we are there!!
This2014-01-13 12:50 GillyP
Tell me where to send monies x
This2014-01-13 12:33 MillieVW
Well done Bo :-)
2014-01-13 12:33 Bo
Hannah is just ringing Ealing council now to make sure that the vet bill payment can be paid to SDK or if not where payments will go to......stand by.....
Of note - this dog is under the care of a vet who looks after homeless people's dogs. With him being lost though he hadn't had his medication which is why he was so stiff. Last edited: 2014-01-13 12:35:00 by BoReport This2014-01-13 12:29 MillieVW
So, jacks sorted, Bo is going to cover 62961 release fee, how much has been gather for 62961 vet fees? And any chance the vet could do a chip free/cheap or it could be arranged after with one of the free offers?
2014-01-13 12:26 Bo
I think I'm in love with you all....
Ok here's the story. This dog was rescued by this homeless man when he was a puppy after seeing him being beaten. The hostel he is at let's the dog stay and when I rang them they said all the homeless people had offered a £5 from their £77 fortnightly allowance to get this dog out. Let me ring Hannah now at SDK and see if we can get small payments made and then I will get back to you ASAP. Xxx

2014-01-13 11:44 GillyP
Well done Bo, I can put £50.00 towards the vets? Tell me where to send it. Does the guy really really want the dog back x
2014-01-13 11:34 Bo
The found lab cross ID 62961 belongs to a homeless man and I offered to pay his release fee of £79. Unfortunately the dog has vet fees to pay of £109 on top of that which I can't afford to pay. Does anyone know of any homeless charity's pet society that may be able to help as the longer he's
- 2014-01-13 12:10 Springer sharon
- Happy to help with the bill, how do I help ?
- 2014-01-13 11:52 Unknown
- Bo, see comments re this poochie on Jacks page!
- 2014-01-13 11:41 Unknown
- Well done Bo, can the vet not take installments? Love to help but cant afford two!!xx
- 2014-01-13 11:37 Bo
- There is a vet bill for £109 on top and I haven't the funds for that, can anyone help?
- 2014-01-13 10:32 Bo
- Just spoke to the hostel and the homeless man cannot afford to get his dog out.
I'm paying the fee. Will be back with his owner later today. I will advise when reunited later. - 2014-01-13 06:50 Bo
- Joanna
Please make sure your friend is aware of the fee to release him as well. He is obviously a loved dog with his blue coat etc.

- Hi Joanna, I think your friend may have to phone the wardens on the number listed above, quoting the reference number. As he will probably have to prove he is the owner. Hope that helps & he is reunited soon.
- 2014-01-12 21:59 joanna urbanek
- HI there, we know the owner - he lives in Hanwell W7. he lost the dog on 11/01/14 in Bunny Park. Please call 02085674757 - hostel where owner lives.
