Has anyone else had trouble finding this dog on reunited? i have to put the id number in to get it. Just going to reunited and its not there. Strange.

I am so pleased that both dogs are now ok, as not needed to go down there will b happy to give the fuel money i have saved to the fund, but being an older person not got a clue how its done> can send a cheque.!!!!!!!!!!Help.

I just posted on Beau's post as rescue space is now in place but the condition is (and often is( neutering, vac and chipping.....

Myhal I promise you that both Alison and SNDogs have bent over backwards for these 2 dogs.

We had to have an account to pay into but every penny goes to Robin and Beau so please be assured they have really done more than any rescue I have met for these two but when your full you are full and there are so many abandoned dogs.

I thank you all for your help and Robin I so wish you luck and joy in your new home s you found one now there is no time limit.....Little lad its been a pleasure to know you and sending a ton of good luck xxxxx

I thought there was a council backed Rescue called 'Swindon Needy Dogs' - surely their purpose is to help the dogs in their area? Why are good folk being made to pay extortionate kennel costs and transport costs to save these dogs? The warden can surely organise for the dog to go to cheaper kennels an be transported from Swindon Needy Dog Rescue Funds?

Steve they have got a 48 hour stay but not sure if we can get them longer or not.

For now we have till Thursday to find somewhere for either just Beau or both if necassary

This is Robin Sammie and threy say he is lovely but a live wire hence the strangle look lol.

Netty is hoping to have them but we need to keep looking as if for some reason she can't they need back up.

Sammie - we've paid for 2 more days board for this little man and the collie cross staffie. With Max contributing as well we could have 3 more days but hopefully Seeks will update us tomorrow after speaking to Alison (The council lady who is very helpful and wants to save these dogs).
Netty will update us on Wed after she's visited Robyn (Robin) with her own dog.

The DW sent out an email this morning at 9am updating the status of the dogs but it doesn't seem to be updated on here, but I am 99.9% sure I am correct!

Hi, i live in Essex.Have spoken to Alison and she will be contacting me first thing Wednesday morning to give me an update, if no places have been found i will be driving to see Alison and taking my little dog with me to see how they get on with her. It would seem that as i look after my grandson twice a week it would not be a suitable home for beau as they stated no children with her. It is possible that i will take Robyn if need be, but would have to be after my sons wedding. Alison did not say i was too far out, but have had dogs from other rescues local and battersea, all have done homechecks on me and i have done homecheck for our local rescue mutts in distress. i have been with my vet for over 30yrs and am quite happy for anyone to check me out. Unless the police deem beau to be "of type" i think these two will be ok. Fingers crossed.

Netty Ali is the lady in charge of the rehoming / pts side but not actually the dog warden. Unfortunately the dogs can only go to a home with-in one hour of Swindon unless you can prove rescue support is available.

Beau really needs working with as she has a few things which means she needs the right person to take her on for both her and new owner. x

Seeks, have only just seen your mesg.When i phoned in i was told the dog warden was a male and he would ring me back!! So is Alison another dog warden?? Why do you think i could not take both, i only have a jack russell at the moment and she accepts all sorts of dogs/ cats into the house, and at the most i have had 4 dogs and 2 cats, or is it something you have been told by Alison that they could not live together.? I have to go out shortly,have appt at 2pm. and a lady who can not drive to take to the vets at 5.15pm. I will check on here for posts inbetween, cannot do it on my mobile. UPDATE......

48 hours is no problem for the lovely dog warden (oh so many could take example from her she is wonderful!!)

We will need to cover expenses which are 11.40 per day per dog. Give me a min and I will get the p[ay pal details as thats the easiest way eh?

They are both lovely dogs but Beau has slightly the edge.... though Robyn is lovely too but both are obviously staff crosses so that can't be hidden.

Will getback tothe 3 rescues who said they would try so hard to make space and let them know we have another 48 hiurs...

You lovely people she was relived we will cover them as she doesn't want to do it either.....

Netty 2 would be too much probably but think we can arrange something for the kenneling when your away if you need so just let us know.

Will go get the paypal things and put it on her asap.....

You are lovely people, they are still in danger but not as badly as 48 hours means a lot can change xx

Oh Bath cats and Dogs know about them and know they are staffie crosses so its no good this time x

'Seeks' is getting in contact with the dog warden tomorrow and will update the posting with details of her temperament etc and if there can be a stay of execution for 24-48 hours. Plus details of your offer so fingers crossed we'll have some more news early on tomorrow x

I have tried calling the number above, but it just keeps ringing!!! I am happy to save the two dogs from being pts if no rescue place is found for them. I used to have four dogs and two cats but am down to one dog now. I have had several rescue dogs in the past and been a foster home for others. BUT i have one problem i am going to Florida for my sons wedding in three weeks time and will be away for three weeks, so if funds could be raised to put them in private kennels i could collect them afterwards, sorry cannot pay myself but costing me a small fortune for the wedding etc. and paying for house sitter for my trip away. When back i can give them all the love they deserve, i am at home all day. I hate the thought of lovely helpless animals put to sleep because of their breeding. I had a staff x from a rescue and she was not the best behaved, but with lots of love and patience she became a beautiful friend, several people said they would have given up on her, but i knew there was a very lovely dog inside, she was just testing me to see how much i loved her before letting her guard down and trusting me. I hope this is of some help. Will phone the number again on Monday, so watch this space.

SH - take a picture of HIS (screen shot), then edit it and post it from your photo library. That's how I transfer all the SDK dogs onto this site.

Robin is a nice little dog, pulls like a train on the lead and although is diddy is quite strong. You might be able to tell from the pictures that Robin is obsessed by BALLS! He will play with other toys but clearly tennis balls are his addiction. He will however be called away and accept food instead, he also did not show any guarding behaviour towards them.
Personally I felt it was a bit too much of addictive behaviour and I wouldn't let him have a ball so that he can concentrate on something else.! He's a very nice little dog again
