- Beau is so beautiful. I have just watched the video & she just looked so playful & happy. I hope if SarahK can't keep her, she finds a home as nice as SarahK's
- 2014-01-28 16:23 ClaireC
- Maybe, just maybe, her foster mum might keep her! She looks so pretty relaxed and loving every minute and likewise the foster "mum" as you can hear it in her voice! Would be so nice for both I'm sure! Worth a thought don't you think? xxxLast edited: 2014-01-28 16:23:41 by ClaireC

Admin pat your selves and all these good people on the back and make beautiful Beau blue as she really is going to be ok.....
She really, really is :-)

- Thanks for the updates.
Beau & Robyn, I wish you the very best life from now on. Be good for your new owners, lots of hugs xx Take it easy :)
I think everyone should be proud of what has been achieved for these dogs. I know I am very proud to be a part of this website :) - 2014-01-25 13:42 Bo
- Seeks thanks for the update that they have started the first steps of their journey to a happy long life. I hope the rescue update us. X
- 2014-01-25 13:00 Seeks
- Bo wouldn't it be brilliant hearing they are rehomed be lovely :-) Robyn wont be long and with luck Beau Bubbles (that does suit her lol) will be soon after. x
Beau was able to travel so bless them they are either on their way or maybe arrived by now with Rescue Remedies....
You two be good and so glad we were able to get to met you and most of all know you will have good and decent lives. Hugs and just stay calm Beau till your stitches are out..... Good luck you pair of loons xxx
- 2014-01-24 15:01 Bo
- Bless them, good to hear they've been "done" albeit with bounce hernia injury to Beau bubbles. Looking forward to their updates and subsequent rehoming (fingers crossed). Maybe some PR about their circumstances will raise the profile of both them and this website etc. x
- 2014-01-24 14:50 Seeks
- Quick up date....
They have been neutered and with a lot of luck will go to the rescue tomorrow as long as Beau is ok to travel....
She woke up, didn't think anything had happened to her so started bouncing and managed to give her self a small hernia so had to have a second op to sort it out....
Alison said they have given her a bit of Valium and will keep her at the vets tonight so they wont know for sure if she will be bale to go tomorrow. Its about a couple of hours journey but if Beau needs a bit more time they can certainly go next week instead.
I did ask if I could have some of Beau's Valium but she wasn't up for sharing lol. Bless her she does sound like a really nice dog and hasn't a decent life at all till now.
Fingers crossed they will be ok tomorrow but it wont be long if she isn't :-)
Beau like t or not you have to take it easy... now you get a bit of rest and don't even think about jumping bout for a min..... Bless you get well soon xxx - 2014-01-24 09:47 Netty-B
- Whoever ends up adopting Beau will have a lovely dog,i hope she gets the forever home she deserves. Beau you are one of the lucky ones, given a second chance to prove to you all humans are not bad. Take care, and i am glad all these wonderful people on dog lost etc care sooooo much to save you, and hope laws change so in the future things like this are a thing of the past. xx
- 2014-01-23 20:05 Unknown
- Netty B So sorry for your loss RIP+ little cat. Bo is right it doesn`t matter who donates what. It will be the total sum not to mention the care, and support you give these dogs. We no longer insure our cats, as their ages rise so does the premium. We "Pay as we go" Some dog owners I know of put £5 or £6 a week away for that purpose for the reasons you have stated. My cheque (Hopefully) should arfrive by tomorrow, as I just missed yesterdays post.
- 2014-01-23 17:00 Seeks
- Pat its very kind of you but SNDogs popped over yesterday and micro-chipped them both so they are now done. They couldn't help with space as they are like most the others and full but they have done all they can to help them even though they couldn't actually take them with being stuffed to the brim with the amount of dogs following the Christmas dumping all areas have seen x
The running total means its done :_) :-) :-)
They have had all the donations not marked for them put against them so thats all ok, some checques are still to come obviously and bless you, not every one has said they have sent money but still have so its now satding at 465 tonight.....
With that they have their vet fees and kennelling for the days after the 21st covered as well as a fair bit either to cover or part cover their transportation to Rescue Remedies hopefully sometime next week.
There is a bit to sort out yet as to what day they can be neutered and then fit to travel as Beau being a girl might need 24 hours rest after spaying.
They are sure that you all have covered it all and are so grateful to you as honestly they have not been unable to either take them in (Via SNDogs) or find someone on the rare occasion they had no room till now.
That such a good record and honestly is testament to how much Alison cares.
I think this has shown how much you all care as well actually.
Your amazing and Beau I love the sound of you girl and did from the beginning but with other dogs cats and sheep I couldn't offering you a home but you have touched my heart and have the hugest amount of good luck I know how to send to you and Robyn, but especially you. Now you learn to settle, learn to trust as all these people have proved there is so much good out there and you know what little girl...... From here on its all you ever meet xxx
Oh they will let us know next week when the neutering, transportation etc is all fixed up but THANK YOU SO MUCH xx - 2014-01-23 08:46 Patlucky
- RESCUE REMEDIES
Would you like 2 microchips for these dogs? - 2014-01-22 22:57 Seeks
- Forgive me I was late tonight but will get a running total tomorrow without fail xx
Silver I so agree with you. So many so often die because none has space and their owners don't or can't keep them. The vast number of the unwanted dogs that end up like Beau and Robyn are sadly staffie crosses and staffies. A staffie has a slightly better chance as a pure bred via their breed rescues but the poor staffie crosses have so few p[laces that will take them.
I know that Rescue Remedies came for these and actually do take a lot from death row before they die so they have a huge amount of dogs that wont be found homes too quickly. They rehabilitate and they really give them a chance but like all the pound rescues they can only help if they have space and funds available.
I honestly talked to 3 pound rescues that are running out of funds..... If they do fold then it will be even harder to find places so yes the law has to change as the bred to die dogs are already here and it will only get worse for them.
These are ok though! These have that chance to put behind them the bad or not ideal life they have had so far :-) - 2014-01-22 20:25 silver
- Wonderful to read that three dogs due to be PTS have been saved due to hard work of Dog Lost and Rescue Remedies. Am happy to send a donation and don't mind extra going towards helping other dogs. They need all the help they can get. So many staffies/staffie crosses abandoned and PTS - we have already seen examples here in the found section. As previous comments, there is need for public awareness, change of laws etc and things might just get better for these sweethearts.

- Netty-B, so sorry for your loss.
Just enjoy your sons wedding when you go.
People can just give what they can afford, everything counts. I think we all wish we could win big money on the lotto so that we could do more. I know I do, I have even picked out somwhere with land & outbuildings ready (Hope they don't sell it before I win, hahaha). - 2014-01-22 16:58 Bo
- NettyB - the amount doesn't matter - to some £1 is a days wage, to others £1000 is a throw of a gambling chip. Every penny was given with love. I can afford what I gave, I'm leaving half of my money to rescue dogs when i die anyway, so just call it an advance. What did matter is that you were going to drive all the way to Swindon with your dog to see if Robin and him would get on. That's priceless.
- 2014-01-22 16:18 Netty-B
- I am so glad its all sorted now!!!! My cheque for £20 is on its way. If more than needed is raised i am more than happy for it to go towards the next one that needs help. Wish i could give more but my cat that i am sad to say ended up being put to sleep, has cost me over £400 in the last month and thats with him being insured, plus my trip to Florida for my sons wedding has cleaned me out, sorry. xx

- Is there any more money needed for these two dogs.?
I had a message from Pat at Mutts in distress.
The message is as follows.
I looked on dog list today. It's all happening for the two dogs now. If they want, I am
Happy to Send them a couple of microchips through the post. I do know that dog wardens will also do them free of charge. - 2014-01-22 15:42 Unknown

- Just spoken to that wonderful lady Alison..... Can tell you know the rescue that stepped in is
RESCUE REMEDIES :-)
They are happy to be known as Beau and Robyns savoiurs really. They are good and they really will keep these two safe for life as the homes will be well vetted and back up will always be there.
She has checked and the addresses are ok as long as you make the cheques out to SNDogs.
She will let us know the running total later and will make sure the donations that weren't marked for Beau and Robyn do get to them.
You are just such wonderful people you really are xxx - 2014-01-22 14:11 Netty-B
- Alison has just rung me, to say thank you to everyone, as both the dogs are now safe, rescue remedies are taking both. The donations are to go to either Swindon Needy Dogs or Pounds for poundies, both are involved. The details seeks has given are incorrect, not sure where they came from... sorry seeks, will text you. The SNDogs bank details are given by Bo earlier if you look back through the notes. Alison is going to get someone to text me back with an address for which to send cheques to, i will post it on here when i get it. PLEASE MARK DONATIONS FOR BEAU REF 3903 and ROBIN REF 3913 if they have more money donated than needed for these two dogs, are people happy for the rest to be used for other needy dogs that they WILL GET.!!!!
- 2014-01-22 13:03 Seeks
- Jane not this timeas its for Beau and Robyn. Could you make it out to SNDogs as that way they can use it for these 2 because it might either vet that neuters them if you see what I mean? x
- 2014-01-22 12:35 Unknown
- Presume the cheque should be made payable to the actual name of the vets or grooming parlour then? Want to make sure. Thanks

- Bo.... Thanks for your comments, have emailed them and awaiting their reply. Seeks texted me and said to tell you saddle not sold yet but it might if you cross your fingers . Glad my son`s getting married but wish i did not have to leave my animals behind, will not rest until i am home and know they are okay, have a house sitter as means the least disruption to their lives but will miss them so much. - Seeks, I have to hand it to you, you have done an amazing job in helping these dogs. I really have not got the inner strength to look at sites where dogs are going to be put to sleep. I have too many sleepless nights as it is with all the dogs on here.
I really hope you are rewarded soon with a homecoming!! That would make my year.
Thanks to everyone else too. xx - 2014-01-21 17:22 Seeks
- Well Bo 2 dogs will owe you all big time :-) xx
GillyP your fantastic too..... Rescues often have that condition but when a rescue is budging to the seams money gets tight...... I talked to some pound rescues that were near on on their knees.
How can anyone just abandon their dog?!
But these two we have saved :-) :-) :-)n
Right just off to sell a saddle ;-) xx - 2014-01-21 17:17 Bo

- Here's the but......
Here is the ‘slight’ problem…..
They have rescue space with a very good rescue that found space with foster homes.
The catch is they need neutering, first vac and micro chipping as well as needing petrol to transport them there.
I know it’s a check but can any of us help towards this please?
Beau will be about 200 and Robin about 150…. I have Pup’s reward money but if I use it and we get her back I am stuffed…. Been a bad year but am trying to sell some bit that might amount to round 50 for a saddle and maybe 15 for a bridle…. It’s just not going to be enough and it might not sell…
Anyway I just hate asking you all as you have been so kind but that's the condition put on it before the reuse will take them…..
If anyone can, the bank details are
CO-OP Bank SNDogs
account number: 65622481
sort code: 08 92 99
Please mark your donation for Beau and Robyn.
Will really try and get this stuff sold but its all I can do as to be honest its cost so much to try and find Pup and she has to be found!!
Trying to think what else I can sell….
I hate bad years ;-)
Anyway that’s the position as it stands but they are safe.
I can not tell you how relived I am as I honestly didn't think Beau would be saved and its so up setting but...
Still they breed more so please have a look at the petition Bo put on here as the born to die dogs so don't deserve their fate....
Hey these 2 (and Piper) will now have the chance they so needed and deserved :-)
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and thanks as well to the sites where the death row dogs get their best chance :-) xxxxxxxxxx
I really want to thank Alison and SwNDogs for all they have done for these two. They are full to the brim but they have done so much to keep these 2 safe…… and in 2 years they have never had to put down an abandoned dog!
WELL DONE YOU 2 it’s so good a Rescue came forward xxx

- These two PTS dogs are on BIGGSD and Also Mutts in distress
has kindly placed on their face book page .
Thank you
I have also made a few phone calls but all are full to bursting.
Can we keep these two in kennels for a bit more time if we put some money in?
Not safe for Netty-B to take this one if it doesn't like children .

- I have been following these lovely dogs and so hope they find a rescue/home. Netty has put on here that Beau can't go with children and she babysits her grandchildren regularly so she only may be able to home Robyn. I am so hopeful a rescue place is found for Beau and think you are all doing a wonderful job on here x
- 2014-01-20 20:59 Seeks
- Sammie your right. While I so hope Netty will be able to help them both we need to keep looking in case
They have been added to the sites that help (or give a platform to help) find rescue space so hopefully there will be back up if Netty can't
We just need to keep trying though got everything crossed for you Netty - 2014-01-20 20:59 Bo

A few of us have donated towards Beau and Robyn's kennels fees for an extra 48 hours (roughly £23.80 a night for both) so we've got until Thursday at the moment. Netty is inbound on Wed to assess Robyn with her own dog so we should get an update from Netty later that day. Beau is lovely but a very nervous girl so will need time and patience etc. Seeks is coordinating with the council as they've been very lovely to deal with but we don't want to annoy them with lots of us ringing up as they are trying to help these dogs as well balancing the dogs needs, duty of care etc.
To summarise - neither safe yet but we have till Thursday at the moment.
- 2014-01-20 20:30 Sammie
- As far as I am aware this one still does not have a home or rescue place.

It is a big ask but put these two on the site .
I have had a lady ask if I had tried Furry friends.
Not sure if this will help.

The lady who runs Furry friends is called Ema.

- Selina have emailed them to head office, he does look so much better... more staffie but we all knew he was. He sounds a really nice dog and will put some new pic's on Pups page so if they can't be added here you can still share them.
The hour from Swindon or rescue back up makes sense as it will ensure the dogs will always be safe if they can be got safe now. They really do sound like nice dogs x
Bo she really is going all out to help these two and I really do hope Pip can help but he is very staffie from his new pics... Looks so nice with a kind face.
Will make sure they know of your kind offer as rescue space could be a long way up or across. xLast edited: 2014-01-20 14:14:16 by Seeks - 2014-01-20 14:09 Bo
- Seeks - that's great reference being our coordinator - Alison sent Pip (whippet rescue) a text when I mentioned to her that Pip had said she was happy to talk to them - Alison knows Pip so maybe there is news there?
I can help with my time and money if/when more is required. I can do overtime at work so all good. - 2014-01-20 14:01 Selina Rogers
- HI Seeks - Think that would be great if you didn't mind co-ordinating as it does get a little confusing otherwise. I'll just keep an eye on the updates and any further help required am happy to chip in. Just so glad it looks like these doggies are going to be safe! Not sure if the other photos can be added on here?? If so could you add them then I can share them on facebook also x

- Selina I talked to Alison, she is in charge. Also talked to SNdogs as they know both dogs well and will be the ones who do home checks etc. Neither mentioned BSL..... I didn't talk to the dog warden as its Alison in charge. x
Bo can do if you like? Going to use some pics I just got sent and put them on some rehoming sites as I know now home checks will be done. x - 2014-01-20 13:34 Bo
- Just sent £30 from my First Direct Account (Laura). Seeks - Are you happy to be the central coordinating person so we don't annoy anyone with a barrage of calls. Happy to help as required. I am based near Oxford (my home and place of work) and always up Liverpool way if transport required near that route.
- 2014-01-20 13:20 Selina Rogers
- Hi Seeks - I'm only going from what the dog warden told me. I spoke directly to him this morning who said the police are going to be looking specifically at Beau today to decide. I'm not sure if Ali is talking to Glyn (the dog warden) as they are giving different information which is a bit worrying. BAsically until the police have seen Beau and make their decision (however they do it?) the DW said nothing could be decided...
I've made a donation of £25 already in the name of both Beau and Robyn already. - 2014-01-20 13:17 Seeks
- Selina I think BSL tens to be not done by the police..... She isn't deemed one though as she is coming via Aly and the dog wardens x
- 2014-01-20 13:00 Selina Rogers
- Seeks - its not if the police want her... Its if they say she'd got some pitbull she will have to be put to sleep :-(
- 2014-01-20 12:57 Seeks
- Selina the police wouldn't want a dog like Bo x
The payment details now sorted and a bit more info. Beau needs the right home for her as she is a bit nervie. She will come good but needs the right home.
Unfortunately the dogs can only go to a home with-in one hour of Swindon unless you can prove rescue support is available.
Beau really needs working with as she has a few things which means she needs the right person to take her on for both her and new owner. x
The payment details is through Swindon Needy Dogs and the account detail are :-
CO-OP Bank SNDogs
account number: 65622481
sort code: 08 92 99
Please mark your donation for Beau and Robyn.
There might be a need to for us to cover transportation cost as well if a rescue can be found.
Thank you all so much, you are lovely people.
Will get back to looking for someone to take them again but we have another 48 hours..... xx - 2014-01-20 12:28 Selina Rogers
- OK that's brilliant news but have the police looked at her yet?
- 2014-01-20 12:09 Seeks
- UPDATE......
48 hours is no problem for the lovely dog warden (oh so many could take example from her she is wonderful!!)
We will need to cover expenses which are 11.40 per day per dog. Give me a min and I will get the p[ay pal details as thats the easiest way eh?
They are both lovely dogs but Beau has slightly the edge.... though Robyn is lovely too but both are obviously staff crosses so that can't be hidden.
Will getback tothe 3 rescues who said they would try so hard to make space and let them know we have another 48 hiurs...
You lovely people she was relived we will cover them as she doesn't want to do it either.....
Netty 2 would be too much probably but think we can arrange something for the kenneling when your away if you need so just let us know.
Will go get the paypal things and put it on her asap.....
You are lovely people, they are still in danger but not as badly as 48 hours means a lot can change xx
Oh Bath cats and Dogs know about them and know they are staffie crosses so its no good this time x - 2014-01-20 11:59 Bo
- Selina - Alison works for the council and said the DW was on the phone could she help ( I'm guessing you were speaking to the DW). I'm happy to help coordinate but appreciate your involvement too.
- 2014-01-20 11:55 Selina Rogers
- I'm amazed that they'd rather put her to sleep than let her go to someone who has experience of rescue dogs?? Anyway - lets hope it all works out. If need any help with transport please let me know
- 2014-01-20 11:44 Selina Rogers
- Sorry Bo that should read I'm happy to help with the costs of boarding for this lovely girl
- 2014-01-20 11:43 Selina Rogers
- Not sure who Alison is, is she someone from the Council or the actual pound where the doggies are? Glyn the dog warden said he'd call me back when the police has done the check... But Bo I'm happy to leave it with you to co-ordinate, you seem very on top of it. And more than happy to contribute to Beau's boarding.... Glyn didn't say anything about they haven't PTS any dogs out of time but that they had to answer to the tax payer with all these dogs in kennels... which is a fair comment and he did come across very helpful.
B0 - I'll wait for your update... phew! what stress for a monday morning!!
- 2014-01-20 11:36 Bo
- Swindon haven't PTS any dogs out of "time". They sound lovely there but they wouldn't let Netty take 2 of them as she already has a dog and they think Beau would be a handful as she's so timid. They would however let her take just Beau (with Netty's own dog in situ) as long as dogs got on and they're happy with their home check. Netty being a previous fostered and rescuer will pass with flying colours so all good. Hopefully Pip will take the little whippet on to their rescue place and Netty will have Beau if everything works out. Last edited: 2014-01-20 11:40:47 by Bo
- 2014-01-20 11:35 Bo
- Just spoke to Alison on the 01793 number. Bath cats and dogs are very aware of her but won't take her due the "bull" tag and noone will buy the boxer cross collie line....
Alison is texting Pip about the whippet cross. She said Beau is a lovely dog if a little nervous. She said that if Netty could visit the dog with her dog they could see how it went. If they get on and she passes her home check then they would be content to board Beau (we would help pay) until Netty is back from her sons wedding.
Hopefully there is no "pit" in her. They legally have to do bloods to ascertain that anyway. My sisters a police Inspector albeit with Merseyside police so all over it as Pits are popular in Merseyside :-(. Last edited: 2014-01-20 11:37:38 by Bo - 2014-01-20 11:30 Selina Rogers
- Right - Spoke to Dog Warden = Glyn. He's just back from a week off so is catching up on everything as fast as possible.
Today Steve Duffy from Wiltshire Police is coming to see Beau as they had to report her as a possible pitbul type. So until he's looked at her there will be no step forward. They can't say what time the police will get there to look at her so I have asked for a 24-48 hour stay of execution after seeing him in the case that they say she's not a pitbull. The dog warden has said this may be possible and also thinks she may well be a collie/boxer cross. I've told him about the bath cats and dogs home and I think he'll poss give them a call depending on the outcome of the police visit.
Netty I've told him that you have said you want to take her = I don't know where you live? Are you close? Obvioulsy this all changes if the police say she is of a pitbull type - 2014-01-20 11:29 Seeks

- Bo I think you are absolutely right. I've looked on all the pictures on google and I dont think she's staffy at all. She's a boxer collie cross. I couldn't put my finger on the head/face but yep now you say boxer - defo.
I this case when you speak to the warden can you let them know when I spoke to Bath Cats & Dogs home they said if she wasnt a staffy to call the homing manager... I have her direct number but left it at home today aaarghhh Their normal number is 01225 787321. If the warden mentions she spoke to me on Friday about her - she'll be aware. - The more I look at her the more I'm convinced she's a Border collie Cross.. She's definitely got the stance of a Collie or a Lurcher... Its just the head that looks a bit like a staffy.
- 2014-01-19 18:09 Seeks
- Selina of course i will.... keep trying though as they might not have space and might not be able to put them as private borders even if we all did pay.....
I promise I will do my best for them but can't gaurntee anything....
Netty taking both might not be possible but I will ask her to look at the posts so she will know before yu get hold of her.
The real problem is that there are too many dogs.... I have worked my way up the entire country. I haven't done Scotland but have England and Wales (they are near Wales for sure)
Main stream rescues I stopped asking these are the pound only rescues and even one of them wont take staffies or staffie crosses......
How did it ever get this bad for dogs?!
I just hope Pup wasn't picked up and her chip failed so we didn't know she had been.....
Its all so sad and please really think about signing the petition Bo put as its the only way this will stop.
I am running out of pound rescues now but there are a couple who will do all they can if they have any space of ability to help so keep trying the main streams please x
Ponterlover I will ring them now but main stream has not been too successful for me so far x - 2014-01-19 15:55 Pointerlover

- Hi there - I've just looked at Netty's post on the Whippet Cross that is in danger also. I've added on there that I can help towards boarding costs when she goes on holiday too... As she's off on holiday in a few weeks time but when back would be happy to take both on...
I tried to the dog warden on Saturday morning just in case there was anyone there but to no avail... I just wanted some more info on her temperament etc...
Seeks - Could I ask as there's quite a few of us trying to find somewhere for these lovely doggies... could you up date this tomorrow once you've spoken to the DW about the stay of PTS and her temperament?? Save us all bombarding the switchboard :-)
Also - when I did speak to the rehoming manager at Bath Cats and Dogs home she did say any other breed of dog (ie something not related to a staffy) they could contact her direct.... Just for future info.
Also, if a suitable foster or shelter would take her/them there are a few of us that have said we would contribute to her board so we could perhaps make a donation instead?? Just a thought.
I'll look forward to the update tomorrow Seeks.... Many thanks x

- Because of the weekend I could only email many tears but they might be able to help. Have concentrated now on pound rescues that only take dogs from death row as that's what both Beau and the whippet cross are.
Didn't try Honiton but other main stream have not been able to so far..... They have a lot against them for main stream rescues sadly.
A couple of the pound ones might depending on what they have come to them Monday from the pounds they already take from. - 2014-01-19 00:20 Pointerlover
- Has this girlie anywhere to go yet?Can anyone please tell me what her temperament is like with people and other dogs? Just wondering if it would be worth trying Honiton Dog Rescue to see if they could take her? I know its a distance away but I live in Devon and would be prepared to take her there if they would have her or have someone to foster her. Also wondering if Many Tears would know of someone in the area who would foster her as they do have people in Swindon , Devizes and other areas around Swindon foster their dogs.

Going to ring the number tomorrow with a list but this one has already gone the extra mile and may already have rung them.....
She looks like a collie x staffie and it sounds better that way round but you cant hide the staffie.... I so wish they hasn't over breed them to the point of born to kill. Will also phone the dog warden with a load of places that do take staffies and collie x staffiw might also be welcome, I so hope she will be ok with other dogs .......
Laura thank you and good luck x - 2014-01-17 18:44 selina rogers
- I've contacted Bath Cats & Dogs home but they think they've been contacted about her already. Basically if she has some Staffy in her then its her death sentence. They've got over 20 staffies already and another 20 on the waiting list. I even offered to pay for her kennels but no can do. I'm not a staffie expert but does she look like one??
If she's not a Staffie then she said the Dog Warden needs to contact her direct to see what they can do.
In the meantime I'll just keep sharing in the hope someone can save her - 2014-01-17 16:46 Bo

- Bo I could not agree with you more!!! They have to do something that drastic even though I know a lot will hve to be seased and they have no hope. We have already got the born to die culture.....
A lot of rescues have closed their doors basically to dogs of a certain breed or cross breed.... This little girl looks like a collie as well so at least she has a chance and will contact all I know that might help her. Done a few already and it only takes one to have room but please all of us do the same...... They are too young and sound like really nice dogs but they are in the born to die group.... It makes me sick and am honestly trying to work out the wording on a petition.... Neutering is the only cure.... - 2014-01-17 10:33 Laura
- really hope this dog is found a new home. way to young to lose his life ;-(
- 2014-01-17 10:24 Esther
- She is lovely, wish I could have her but just taken in a rescue dog, a collie cross springer. he is a wonderful 7 month old puppy who plays with my 2 springers, but a fourth dog may be too much! A lot of rescue dogs are there through no fault of there own, so please someone give her a chance. You just need to remember they are confused and frightened, but I would definitely do it again my rescue is the first I have had and he is so grateful, he fits in and tries so hard to be good.

- Ps Would be a good idea to bring back the dog licence too, and have stricter controls over breeders too. We will probably be told it would cost too much to carry out. Shane we cant keep these abandoned dogs, and put the so called owners to sleep. More Grrr......s
- 2014-01-17 08:01 Unknown
- Carol. Over the Christmas perioed 1500 dogs were abandoned across the UK according to "The Dogs Trust". Bo. I absolutely agree with all you have said about compoulsory neutering etc.: bring it on. I heard of one person who breeds dogs for a hobby; should it be a hobby? I dont think so. But even on this site we see that some owners have let their dogs have puppies, but when there are so many unwanted dogs, AND puppies desperately needing homes? Grrrr....
- 2014-01-17 06:52 Bo
- Carol - they're trying to find a rescue space for her but none available yet. We need to tackle this problem from the other end ie making neutering and spaying compulsory unless people have a (expensive) paid for license to breed. It would stop the birth of many litters. I would also put owners National Insurance numbers on microchips as we are pretty much traceable where ever we are with that. Last edited: 2014-01-17 06:53:14 by Bo
