Jess and Molly have been found safe!!! Message from Jess:

We may have found them! Westmorland gazette phoned and said they'd had a call about 2 patterdales running about near one of the pubs in the lyth valley area and this young lad has managed to catch them, so auntie and uncle on way up now.

Jess's auntie and uncle arrived and it is Jess and Molly! Molly has a few scratches and both have lost weight, they are off to the vets later for a check up. Owner is due to go on holiday tomorrow, and can now have a great time knowing they are safe and being looked after. The Westmorland Gazette were also there for the happy reunion, Jess and Molly will be in the paper again, will post link when available. Reunited photo to follow when they are feeling upto it of course. Welcome home gorgeous girls xx

Read somewhere recently that hunters who lost their dogs took a piece of clothing that you have worn for at least a whole day and a bowl of water and left it at the place the dog was last seen (possibly with a note to advise other walkers why it is there). Apparently many times, they found their lost dog sat next to the clothing waiting when they went back to check periodically... anything's worth a try!! Good luck!
