- Dolly was picked up late this afternoon and I took her home. It was a really happy reunion. Dolly was a bit shell shocked (that might have been my driving and the horrid down pour we were caught it)and she is a good weight. No obvious bumps or bruises. I imagine she is having a much needed bath and cuddle right now.
- 2014-02-14 20:26 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- She's home!!! We really need owner and dog warden to update but from what I gather, tears are flowing at a joyous reunion. Welcome home sweetheart. Katie Rose, you so deserved to get Dolly home! Well done all of you who have been sharing and helping, especially Katie - you are a fab human mummy. God bless and big kisses to Dolly. XXX

- 2014-02-04 11:34 Debs
- Glad you managed to get closure on this little lady Sarah. Poor little love I hope she wasn't suffering long. Run free. Meanwhile the search for Dolly is still on. Good to see so many people alert to Dolly when a lookilikey appears
- 2014-02-04 09:45 Basildon DW
- This dog was picked up by RSPCA as she was injured. She was not Dolly, she was scanned several times and was a very young bitch. She had been in a state for quite some and unfortunately had bad spinal fractures and she had to be put to sleep.
- 2014-02-03 22:59 wibble58
- Oh praying and praying that it is Dolly x
- 2014-02-03 21:35 Basildon DW
- I shall chase this one up, I am not sure why RSPCA would be picking up a stray as we have an out of hours collection service but I know the RSPCA Inspectors/Officers/volunteers well and she/he will be in safe hands.

- Keep going. You are getting calls so the posters are working. Can I suggest to go back to where she was lost and hunt around closer to home. Do the scenting again and again in safe areas.

- Hi Katie, a yorkie was picked up in Pitsea and was taken to local vet, it was a male and the owner claimed him from the vet shortly after.

- Press release being issued by Basildon council about Dolly and Mille, managed to collar two Doglost volunteers to pose for photos, thanks Helene and Michelle.
- 2014-01-24 15:14 Scragtag1
- I really think all of Mill green needs posters thru letter boxes incase the call was genuine and doesn't like phoning a mobile number, also worth doing the same with Caister drive incase he has recently moved and got mixed up with street name and postcode......such a shame he wouldnt give out a contact number!
- 2014-01-24 15:09 Scragtag1
- Helene and myself went to the house today and had a good look around that road....saw a postie and its seems there is only one 25 and thats mill green place....knocked but no answer, so have put a note thru the door, postie also confirmed a lady lives there....he wasnt sure about a man tho.....we then went to the postcode the old man had given and got no answer :-/ then had a good mooch round northlands and spoke to a few more people whilst out and about......found a fair few posters on the floor so have stuck those on bins as didn't have anything with us to fix them up with......defo need more posters up and they need to go up in 'In your face' places.....we really need to get together and see exactly where has been postered as i feel there are large chunks missing.......things have gone too quiet...which makes me think this man is genuine....fingers crossed he phones back!

- 2014-01-24 10:38 Basildon DW
- That postcode relates to Caister drive Pitsea, not too far away from Eversley
- 2014-01-23 22:47 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Katie, remember the email I sent you? This could be someone testing you, or someone who can't communicate very well or can't read well, or even a hoax. See how it plays out - they might call back. It may even be someone trying to give you a tip off in a strange kind of way. I wouldn't spend too much time on this, but keep it in mind. If you get a demand for money - remember my email! If no dog in front of you, they really haven't got her. Just in case, okay? I'm going to text you. x
- 2014-01-23 21:59 Katie Rose
- Just been out on a mission, Kate got a call from an old guy saying he had our dog. 25 mill green, off of ashlyns. Been walking around the estate for 2 hours, can only find 25 mill green place. No one there and neighbour said there is a young girl that lives there but is away. No other 25 found, we knocked on 5, 75, among others. spoke to loads of people. Doesn't appear to be a 25 mill green. Said he had seen the poster and had the dog at home. Called with withheld number, when Kate asked for his phone number he just kept saying 25, number 25. He hasn't called back. Don't know what else to do. He gave postcode as well, which doesn't match the address. Ss13 3rd, went there and knocked on 25, young girl. Not there.

- Food bowl - I mean a plastic bowl with food in it/water. So it looks like a piece of rubbish to others. x
- 2014-01-23 20:10 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Okay, you are doing fab! Just keep doing it again and again - more of the same. Eventually, something may come to light. Owner, do you have my email? Read the attachments. I want you to scent the area she was possibly spotted and I want you to lead her to a safe place with the scent. Lead her to a food bowl, old blanket/jumper, and a poster. If she is hiding out (remember she is small & can go unnoticed)she could then smell your scent and follow it to this safe place (not across any roads etc). If it is safe, lead her home from the place of sighting with scent. Also, the times these fur babes tend to come out is evening and first light when no ones around. So keep your eyes peeled around those times. x

- No sightings reported to us today. Hopefully she has found somewhere warm. It may be worth knocking on doors up on eversley road, there are stables and out buildings up there and that backs onto eversley park and Rushley and your estate Katie.

- Morning all-
There have been 2 sightings yesterday bout around mid day.
One was at the end of Pound Lane/London Road End
One at Northlands (this seems likely to be mine)
I have made the dog warden aware of both sightings, the council seemed to think the other little Yorkie who went missing from the Vange is still missing- the sighting at Pound Lane maybe her?
Thanks all again- - 2014-01-20 19:31 Ann
- And Abbieferr too, I've let the owners know of your kind offer. I'm sure they'll be in touch as soon as they can. x

- Hi, I have seen your posters all around Northlands Park - I live in Beambridge and am happy to come out and search for her tonight, can bring my three dogs (Yorkie, Jack Russell and Yorkie Cross) to help - let me know before 5.15pm thanks Sue
- 2014-01-20 15:37 Sunshine
- Has the new missing Yorkie in Vange been registered on doglost.co.uk yet?
- 2014-01-20 12:08 Basildon DW
- No calls into the council over the weekend but I shall be looking out for her today. There is another Yorkie missing from the Vange area, she is female, no collar, no id and she is friendly, she went missing yesterday. I have advised owner to register on Doglost so sightings of these two could get mixed up.
- 2014-01-19 14:38 Katie Rose
- False alarm, turns out this one was a boy x
- 2014-01-19 14:27 Katie Rose
- Had a phone call from a receptionist at a gym in Pitsea saying someone saw some kids find a yorkie in Benfleet wearing a black collar and they was going to take it to Pitsea police station.
This was yesterday, there has been nothing at the police station or kennels.
This is all the info I have, if anyone saw these kids or know where they went with the dog please let me know as it maybe dolly x

- Message just received on another possible sighting......It was running up Felmores SS13 last night approx 6.45, a car was flashing his lights at me to slow down as it was running towards me, 2 men in a car were following the dog and trying to flag traffic down. They stopped by the kebab van by Northlands Park and one of the men got out and tried to grab the dog but it ran off onto East Mayne and I lost sight of them. The driver in the car said it wasn't their dog but he saw it running in the road and was trying to catch it but it wouldn't stop running.
- 2014-01-18 18:53 Katie Rose

- Hi all that are following...
We are arranging a search and leaflet session tomorrow at 12 at Eversley School, Crest Avenue SS13 2EF. (Meeting at front gates as this was the last place she was seen)
We are encouraging all helpers to bring there dogs as she will approach a dog rather then a person, torches and maybe walking sticks/ anything to look and lift hedges and shrubbery.
We will wait there for 20mins then hopefully split up and cover the awares she's been spotted handing out leaflets on the way.
If there is no luck on Saturday we will be going the same on Sunday.
Thanks again for all the kind messages.
You can add me on face book my name is Katie rose x - 2014-01-17 20:52 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Stay strong Katie Rose, there will be more of us out tomorrow looking. Let's get her home to you soon.
- 2014-01-17 20:39 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Katie, remember she is running scared so may not recognise you immediately - she is in survival mode. If you have plotted the course, this is her triangle and she will do this over and over until you get her. Leave food, water & and old jumper for bedding at one of the places. Scent the jumper. You can get her. Or, I'd sit and wait all day and night at one of these sightings. Go get your baby! x
- 2014-01-17 20:16 Katie Rose
- Hi sunshine, yeah we have. We are going back to all 3 sighting areas tomorrow to talk to dog walkers and hand out more posters. All 3 spots are 1 mile apart. She's covered a lot of ground but luckily she's going back on herself, let's hope she's back soon, we are so worried in this bad weather too x
- 2014-01-17 18:58 Sunshine
- Have you postered your area and all the area's where she has been sited. Have you spoken to the caretaker at Eversley School and staff at the leisure centre? How far are these sighting points from where she went missing?
- 2014-01-17 18:16 Katie Rose

- 2014-01-17 13:31 Katie Rose
- yes she is wearing a black collar with a diamonds on-
she will be attached to where there are other dogs as she is an ex breeder, I have been told she was spotted around 7 last night at Broomfields.
she will stay away from people and cars so will be hiding somewhere.
I have contacted the Mirco chip company, I have a friend from the Ramsden Fly Ball helping me look this afternoon, we will be door knocking tonight and putting up posters and leaflets. - 2014-01-17 12:44 Debs
- Ive been in touch with the owner since last night. Email advice sheet sent and i've just taken a call from someone who had a man knock on their door at 7pm last night asking if the roaming yorkie was theirs as they have a few small dogs. No-one caught the dog but it did fit the description of Dolly. That was at Brooklands SS13 @ 7pm. Owner has been informed

- Just spoke to owner, they have only had Dolly two weeks so she will not know the area at all.

- I shall have a look around the Burnt Mills area. There are lots of works going on around Coultard Road so hopefully she will stay on the estate. There are feilds and farm land opposite that estate, it may be worth visiting the farm.

- Does your dog have a brown collar with silver studs? As whilst I was walking mine last night I saw a little yorkie. Unfortunately my dog seamed to scare her off she ran towards the burnt mills estate. This was around 6:15 last night. Feel so terrible that I didn't manage to get hold of her now.
