- Yes she was seen today at appx 3.30 ish I believe on the narrow path that straddles the field to the right of the cow barns . It's the path that runs from Paradise Road down to the style leading to Earlys farm. She dived through the hedge .
Can't thank everyone enough for the efforts you've all being putting in to try and catch her. Her owner is staying at the caravan this week and can be contacted on tel number here on Doglost. She doesn't however have transport. - 2014-01-26 20:25 chrisbaldry
- Great news she's found somewhere she feels safe to sleep, hopefully not long Untill she picked up. I'm at work during the day all week but if need any help in the evenings let me know. Last edited: 2014-01-26 20:26:49 by chrisbaldry

- Where was the last sighting? We saw her yesterday down by the cattle shed in the morning but has she been sighted since then?
- 2014-01-26 18:52 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- Bumping again due to latest sightings. So hope she is caught soon, great that the farmer already has a suitable trap. Well done everyone, I know you have all put so much effort into this, really proud of you all.

- everything crossed.such lovely helpful people.many thanks to them.

- Ok folks... Just happened to be at Abi's barn for a final check before leaving for the day , when Sue phoned me to say Jenny had had a call from Paradise Farm to say they've been seeing Bailey over the last two or three days and people in the area have been trying to catch her. She's been sleeping in the cow barns and the farmer has already set up a humane fox trap.
Took the decision to move Bailey's crate hand it's now in the rear hay barn by the back cow barn very near to the trap.
The last sighting was by a local lady who followed her down a nearby track but she ducked through a hedge.
It's getting dark now and as such searching not possible. All the local people are aware of her and doing everything they can to help.
We've left the farm now as don't want to deter her from returning to the cow barn where she obviously feels safe.
Jan and. Jenny had spoken to the farmer earlier but he'd left for the day. A gent at the the Couryard I think called Kevin has said he will contact the farmer to update him.
All looking very positive, hoping it's only a matter of time before we get her home safe

- Had a drive all around the areas today and a bit further out in the hope would see her wandering about but no such luck. At least with this rain the temp is a bit warmer and there's plenty to drink.
- 2014-01-26 09:08 cfilewood
- I am actually nearer chalbury common than Horton village. A relative of mine runs an equestrian centre in uppington and knows the local farmers etc. I will get her to inform them. I have 3 of the same breed as yours so will be going on a long walk today around the area for a search. I have shared on Facebook and will make sure the word is shared xx
- 2014-01-26 08:17 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- The weather weather awful this morning so probably not much chance of seeing Bailey. She will be snuggled somewhere dry I hope. It would be good if her crate could be checked and more posters put up but wouldn't advise a lot of leg work across fields/woods. Please be careful if you are out and about.. Such a lovely band of helpers here , I'm sure your dedication will bring results soon.
- 2014-01-26 07:05 SueB
- I intend to take out posters and cover the area from the end of the bridle way that passes Horton Tower, Chalbury common to Holt Wood putting up posters on the bridleway and footpath entrances and leafleting houses on that route. My journey will take me on toward Pond Head & Holt and if there are not posters at those areas I will cover them too.
I am sorry that I cannot join the walking search but my back is not allowing me the luxury of walking too far at the moment.
I wish all the searchers luck today ............. you are a great bunch and I am sure that Bailey will be pin pointed today.

- Thank you cfilewood :) we have another search organised for tomorrow . Many of us don't know the area that well so local knowledge is so valuable , if you can give any advice or help . It's evident that postering to the area is lacking so we are hoping to get that covered over the next few days . As a local are there any avenues you can hep us with to spread the word? Local farmers pages, facebook , twitter, etc?
I've a feeling we are going to need the support from local farmers in the vicinity to get access to search properly ...can u help?Last edited: 2014-01-26 00:52:27 by Gnasher - Area Co-ordinator, East Dorset - 2014-01-25 23:59 cfilewood
- Hi.
I have only just seen this shared. I saw your dog running down the Three Legged Cross/Horton road last Sunday. I turned around as was on the opposite side of the road but no sightings when I got back. I live in Horton so will keep a very close eye for your dog. I'm so sorry to hear she is still missing and that you find her soon. I will have a drive round tomorrow to look xx - 2014-01-25 19:23 Gnasher - Area Co-ordinator, East Dorset
- Thank you chrisbaldry... We too had no joy today
No news as I'm sure you'll have gathered otherwise you'd be heard from us.
This is what. Jessenben & I managed to cover today
We drove down Paradise Road and parked up at the turning point by Abi's farm. We checked the barn where baileys crate is but didn't see any signs that she's been back as yet. The barn is dry and sheltered, so rather hoping that she does find her way back there.
From here we followed the track which is still Paradise Road on Google maps, but not accessable to unauthorised vehicles until we reached Paradise farm, not that far from the Horton Road.
There is a little trodden track just before you reach Paradise farm to your right with a style at the end, which led us Earlys farm where we spoke to someone and gave a poster. We walked on to towards Mannington , spoke to the farmer at brook lands farm. From there we walked the Holt road up to Holt Heath and then lower Rowe, passed Hayters yard and back down to the opposite end of Paradise Road from where we'd parked. We'd lost the light by now and were soaked through so had to call it a day.
We had managed to get a couple of posters up at the top end of Holt Heath where the road goes down to lower Rowe but there really arnt enough posters out there. - 2014-01-25 17:56 chrisbaldry
- Had a long walk all around queens copses 2day with my dog, unfortunately no sighting

- Flashdil Have posted this on facebook group that owner is a member of I have a feeling the owner has moved nearby to help search
https://www.facebook.com/groups/designercrossbreeddogs/
- 2014-01-24 19:28 flashdil
- Am following this and live at Holt Heath I have not seen any posters up on the heath and if she is heading towards Queens Copse are there posters there. I can put some up if you can get them to me. In meantime will keep looking understand from fb that owner is in Southampton and cannot search due to transport problems and has only recently aquired bailey so poor thing must be terribly confused and frightened.
- 2014-01-24 08:46 Maddie
- I wonder if she is hanging around by Hayters feed supplies ( on poster it says last seen there) she might find something to eat there and maybe a barn to keep dry and warm! Last edited: 2014-01-24 08:47:08 by Maddie

- Sorry but I don't know the exact location and I don't know the area. All I know is that she was spotted heading towards Queens Copse. Bailey is very timid and runs as soon as she sees humans, if all sightings can be logged on a map that would help. We need time, date and location logged to see if her movements form a pattern.

- hi is there any info on weather anyone has been out looking for her,has owner been back to caravan ect just incase ?? what about getting a sniffer dog as its not good weather and such a tiny dog ??
- 2014-01-23 11:30 avalonia
- Maddie. She went missing from St. Annes Cottage site along the horton road, she was last seen (a few days ago) at silverlands. Yesterday I was informed she had been spotted at Holt Heath. I hope she is found soon, getting more distraught as the days go on.
- 2014-01-23 10:25 Maddie
- I hope she is found soon, the weather is going to change for the worse. So am I right in thinking she is somewhere along the Horton road. Was the camping field called Silverlands? As I know where that is along that road!
- 2014-01-22 15:28 Spindle
- She may weel keep low until around dusk time. Good luck in finding this little one.

- Been out again this afternoon. The Caravan Site is Near St Anne's Cottage. A difficult area to search as it's near a main road with rural farms either side. Happy to go out again tomorrow.jessbenem if you want to meet up that's great. Can go out during the afternoon
- 2014-01-21 16:09 Jessbenem
- Have spoken to owner Bailey still missing. Caravan site is St Anne's closer to Horton than to 3legged Cross. Bailey is a timid dog, not really used to being out and about. I have put posters in West Moors - Handsome Hounds groomers, West Moors Veterinary Surgery, Co op and the butchers. I can go towards St Anne's tomorrow pm unless I have to work. Springer Sharon if I can be of any help to you, let me know. Owner said she really appreciates our help.
- 2014-01-21 00:29 Jessbenem
- I'm fairly close, not quite sure where site is, but can look it up. I'll go over Tuesday after work. I'll check on here before I go over that way. Will be about 2 30 pm I think.
- 2014-01-19 20:25 Sammie
- Sharon thats really kind of you, I will send them an email with scenting instructions on, it may help to get the little one back to where she went missing from.
- 2014-01-19 19:43 Springer sharon
- Have spoken to the owner. Bailey went missing while the owners were checking their caravan at the Silverstones caravan park on the Horton/ three legged cross road. She ran and they were unable to catch her.I will put more posters up tomorrow and have offered to search
