- Don't worry Janie, it's really easy to accidentally click the report button, especially I think if you're on a touch screen device. It was probably in error :-)
Glad to see Puhi and Yanushka reunited, hope it all works out with work and keeping him from roaming :-) - 2014-01-31 07:33 Unknown

- 2014-01-30 13:56 Unknown
- Carol. If Yanushika has to work long hours perhaps omeone could take the dog "Walkies" I know at least two people who do this whilst the owners are at work albeit part time. Pleased about the reunuin:-)xxx
- 2014-01-30 13:38 Shelagh
- Yes hooray puhi is finally re.united with yanuska. We absolutely made the right decision to give yanuska a chance to reclaim him . Poor puhi doesn't understand any English and is a lot older than stated. I think it would have been quite difficult to rehome him. Anyway way done to all involved and also lovely animal warden.
- 2014-01-30 13:32 Unknown
- WHOOPDEDOO xxxxx
- 2014-01-30 12:56 Bo
- I am delighted to say Puhi and Yanushka are reunited. Refresh the page to view the updated reunited picture. Shelagh said it was a lovely reunion but I will let her update the details when she get home. It's a freezing cold day - big thanks to all that helped with Puhi, especially Shelagh making the time and effort to meet up with Yanushka twice, without which it wouldn't have occurred.
GillyP - thanks again.

- ALL PAID FOR XXXXX
- 2014-01-30 09:27 Shelagh
- Yanuska has phoned SDK and they are waiting for payment they will call her back when receive it.
- 2014-01-29 22:03 Bo
- Carol - I totally agree with you that no dog should be left for long hours. I'm not sure what her work hours will be or if she will have something sorted for him after this episode. Her mobile number is on the gumtree link if needed. Xx
- 2014-01-29 21:30 Carol
- I don't feel this dog should be left for long hours , and my priority is the dog and not the fact that this lady has to work long hours and she may love the dog but my feelings towards this situation are uneasy and sad for the dog I only speak as I find xxx
- 2014-01-29 19:05 Bo
- "Tidy"
In my best nessa voice - 2014-01-29 18:56 Unknown
- I shall be there card poised!. Roll on tomorrow x
- 2014-01-29 18:52 Shelagh
- Yes will get photo no problem. Will keep you all updated in morning if yanushka doesnt
- 2014-01-29 18:33 Bo
- Great thanks Shelagh. - if you remember will you get a photo (use Yanushkas iPhone if she's cool with that) and she can orange SMS it to me so I can get it on the site. No worries if not.
GillyP - SDK asked me about payment when they rang me circa 1645 and I said you were all over it and would touch base after allowing Yanushka time to call and confirm. Hope that's ok. Any snags let me know and I will sort it so no delay.
Nearly there..... - 2014-01-29 17:38 Shelagh
- Have spoken to yanushka couple of times regarding tomorrow. I have made sure she understands she must contact SDK first thing tomorrow to confirm here intention to reclaim puhi. I have also told her there can be no delays and this will be her last chance to get puhi back. She has said she will phone at 9 and then she will need to let you know so payment can be made. Hopefully all will go well.
- 2014-01-29 17:31 Bo
- Thanks Chris - its great to be able to help them and we couldn't have done anything without everyone here who's helped and been supportive.
Seeks - I really appreciate that ref rescue space if need be. I had no sleep on Monday night worrying about Puhi and what was best for him if we risked a rehome. I was so relieved last night when Yanushka contacted me (without me hassling her) to tell me "what's occurring".
SDK just rang me and confirmed that as soon as Yanushka rang them in the morning, confirmed time and RV (with Shelagh) tomorrow was still ok, then our GillyP can make the payment and then Puhi is collected and his rendezvous journey begins.

- Bo if need be rescue space would be available I am sure. Its not ideal but its too dangerous for any dog in pounds now a days too. He will be happy to be home as well. He knows the life and maybe he wont be allowed to roam now.
Maybe someone will help 'babysit' him while she works but if you need help just ask x - 2014-01-29 16:08 Chris63
- Hi Bo fantastic work done by you GillyP and Shelagh to get this lady's dog back to her. I agree don't think she realises what rules and regulations regarding dogs in England are, hopefully now she has learnt a hard lesson. Be lovely to see the reunited photo. X
- 2014-01-29 13:08 Bo
- Pat/Jane
Vey lengthy discussions held (telephone)between myself, GillyP and Shelagh over this little dog. He's obviously loved as Yanushka would not have gone to the effort of sorting his pet passport from Bulgaria and as soon as he went missing, she went onto gumtree with photos and her contact mobile etc.
I agree he's probably not best placed in a communal home, with an owner who is potentially at work for long hours - but we aren't in a position to deny her him back based on her lack of funds and our views on his situation. If she hadn't sorted herself out yesterday then the decision was out of our/her hands. But she did do as she was asked to and if tomorrow goes as planned, all good. I will try to keep in touch with her and let her know if it all becomes too much for her with her job and her communal house, then she can contact me to try and sort something out. To be honest I could do without that at my door but like all of us here, we're concerned, and she trusts us. Who knows what has happened to put her in this position but we all just want whats best for Puhi. It's been a very tricky one. - 2014-01-29 12:47 Unknown
- Carol. I am thinking the same as you. Hope all will be okay
- 2014-01-29 08:14 Pat
- Hopefully reunited onThursdayAlison.
- 2014-01-29 07:33 AlisonH
- Can I move this little one to reunited or is he still waiting to be collected.
- 2014-01-28 20:57 Carol
- Well done to everyone , part of me still fears for this little ones future safety xxxx
- 2014-01-28 20:54 duffs54
- Wow this one passed me by completely, sorry i'm too late to help monetary wise, hope it all gets sorted.
Well done all of you xxxx - 2014-01-28 20:09 Bo
- Yanushka has been in touch tonight and is truly overwhelmed with everyone's kindness. She has promised me a reunited picture which I will update as soon as I have it, hopefully Thursday night. Shelagh will be with her . It seems her interview went well so hopefully she will be employed soon as well. Last edited: 2014-01-28 20:10:32 by Bo

- 2014-01-28 19:32 reggiemollieros
- Maybe also someone could explain to her about how to update his microchip details as I am guessing they were not up to date or am I wrong? Well done everyone xx
- 2014-01-28 19:22 Chris63
- Well done GillyP getting all the money together. I truly hope she looks after him and realises he can't just roam the streets. Another glass of wine for you tonight in celebration! X
- 2014-01-28 19:08 Clare
- I really hope this all comes together. He looks so scared poor little thing. Is there anyone Bulgarian who can spesk to her and make her understand the importance of keeping him safe. If he makes it home (fingers crossed) he really has been one lucky boy this time.

- 2014-01-28 14:38 Shelagh
- Yes finally it is arranged. We are meeting dog warden outside PDSA for hand over of puhi Thursday 12. This still reli:-) es on Yanushka phoning SDK 9 on Thursday to confirm her intention to reclaim him. I will be. On her case Thursday early to make sure she phones them. Well little puhi were halfway there looks like you will be going home soon.
- 2014-01-28 14:28 Wizzie
- Just sent £10 to you GillyP, sorry its not more. May take 2 hours to reach you!
- 2014-01-28 14:03 Unknown
- Alex you still up for a donation???. Im a div and cant count we have £200.00 need £45.00. Bo i shall call you. x
- 2014-01-28 13:26 Bo
- Good news. She rang. Thursday arranged, cost is £245 total. Gilly - call me when free please. Shelagh, I'm calling you in a mo xx
- 2014-01-28 13:24 mathers22
- I've just come on to see if this poor dog is anywhere nearer to being reunited and if to send a donation. Doesn't she want him now!! I really hope he is rehomed and not pts if she doesn't want him xx
- 2014-01-28 13:20 Unknown
- To keep him in kennels till Thursday is £245.00 with all the donations already been sent and mine included we have £210.
- 2014-01-28 13:14 Unknown
- Its just so frustrating! Her stories are so conflicting!. Phui poor little face. She does love him but I dont think she clearly understands the situation. All monies will be going back to those who donated. x
- 2014-01-28 13:06 tilly273
- By late last night I was beginning to come to the same conclusion. I have made my £10 donation to your account GillyP as I do not want to let all you other lovely people down. But I do have concerns this may happen again :(
- 2014-01-28 13:04 Tonks
- The £20 was from me - I was reading the inspiring tale of Beau & Co and the people who helped bring it about for those dogs, after it had been resolved, and would have contributed to that if I'd been around when it was happening. Even if this doesn't come off (also inclining towards the view that Phui needs someone to be responsible for him as well as care), I don't want the money back. xx
- 2014-01-28 12:56 mayjul
- So frustrating as next time Puhi may not be so lucky to be found unhurt. Not sure what the best solution is here x
- 2014-01-28 12:54 Unknown
- Mayjul, exactly what myself and Bo spoke about. She feels it is ok to let him wander like he did at home. Frustrating!!!
- 2014-01-28 12:45 mayjul
- If truly being rehomed then perhaps this will be better in the long run as this could quite likely happen again if not going to be kept at home securely....x such a shame
- 2014-01-28 12:43 mayjul
- You should all be so proud for helping. I think you all do such a wonderful job on here. What will happen to this beautiful dog if not collected? x
- 2014-01-28 12:43 Unknown
- I cannot tell you how cross I am. Everyone has gone out of their way to help. She clearly has no urgency about this. Unfortunately if she cannot make an arrangement for Thursday he will be re-homed (so we are led to believe). So sad if happens, but you cant help people who dont want to be helped. Poor Phui coming all his way from Bulgaria. Lets hope she proves us all wrong. xxx
- 2014-01-28 12:02 Chris63
- This is very naughty of her when we have all donated and also the amount of time and effort you have all put in to help her. Surely she wants this beautiful dog. X
- 2014-01-28 11:55 Bo
- We are still waiting for Yanushka to contact SDK. I've spent quite a lot of time in contact with her and Shelagh spent a couple of hours with her trying to help yesterday. If she doesn't make the effort to speak to SDK then we have done all we can. She text me saying she would at midday but she promised 0900, 1000 ...... and Nothing! Waiting to see what happens at middayLast edited: 2014-01-28 11:57:09 by Bo

- 2014-01-28 10:18 Unknown
- Hi all, apparently Yanushka is caling SDK at midday. We need to ascertain exactly what arrangements she is making. SDK will NOT take any payment until she confirms she is picking Phui up. I have had a total of £110.00. Mardyscot, Clare, Bo, and Pat. Got a rouge £20 in the bank and not sure who its from can you confirm. If this all goes belly up i will need to send it all back! :-(Last edited: 2014-01-28 10:27:57

- Morning GillyP good luck today! I am going to put a donation into your account this morning of £30, please let me know if you have a shortfall. Hope everything gets resolved. X
- 2014-01-28 09:45 Unknown
- Hi Mardyscot thank you. Need to make a few calls this morning to see what's what! Will keep you all posted.
- 2014-01-28 09:20 mardyscot
- GillyP I've transferred just now, let me know if there's any problems naturally. And God forbid if this goes t*ts up then use it for another dog in need! Good luck to all concerned xx

- Will do GillyP- we need to talk.
I have progress from Yanushka in that she responded to my message about agreeing to a Thursday meet with Shelagh. I told her she MUST ring SDK at 0900 to tell them Thursday is ok as that will give us a fighting chance for him to be held when Gilly rings. - 2014-01-28 07:40 Unknown
- Bo, e mail me Last edited: 2014-01-28 08:09:32

- GillyP - please don't send any money to SDK until Yanushka commits to a collect time on Thursday as she is not replying to either email or text to Shelagh or myself as she had previously and a couple of things she's told me aren't the same as she's told Shelagh. That's why SDK are not taking payments either.
I'm hoping she will be very communicative tomorrow before her interview which she said was at 1000 to me but 1100 to Shelagh . - 2014-01-27 22:30 Seeks
- Gilly I can pledge it but if I get it you will have a tenner. Just depends on if this sells.... x

- Awww seeks that's great for pup. I will ring at 9 just need all those who pledged to transfer monies xx

- GillyP, lost track of where the fund raising has got to, text me know in the morning and I will transfer to your account tomorrow evening. 07775860964.
- 2014-01-27 22:07 Seeks
- Oh Gilly someone needs to ring then dead on 9.... they will they need to be asked asap and get the answer solid....Once with a rescue it gets harder.
Hey you be pleased to know we started a fund for Pup as she too could turn up any where and take a few days in a pound before we find her;-) x - 2014-01-27 22:06 Unknown
- Its so sad Pat but it's the law of the land xx
- 2014-01-27 22:04 Pat
- I feel so sorry for Yanushka. She has brought Puhi all the way from Bulgaria, how she must love him.
I can't understand why KSD should re home him, he already has a home. - 2014-01-27 22:04 Unknown

- 2014-01-27 21:50 Unknown
- Hi seeks. We tried getting him handed over to someone else, they said no, which I understand. It will be sorted and hopefully we will get a lovely reunited pic xxx
- 2014-01-27 21:50 Pat
- What does SDK stand for?
- 2014-01-27 21:44 Seeks
- Gill, Bo, Max and all...... I stand in ore of you all to be honest. You are incredible people you really are.
Still broke Bo and got about 5mins of credit but might be able to get round that if you all still need someone to ring.......
There is one other possible suggestion?
Can someone in that area (the one they will deliver that poor dog back to) act as agent? If they had the proof of ownership and signed authorisation surely that would be enough?
Like these down here you must not even know where the kennels are! Not so easy when dogs are stolen/taken home etc before being handed in though is it.....
I just wonder about using an agent? Last edited: 2014-01-27 21:46:14 by Seeks - 2014-01-27 21:44 Unknown
- Hi Clare, every little helps but I don't have PayPal . Xx
- 2014-01-27 21:37 Bo
- To be fair to SDK - they're doing their best.
Yanushka is very difficult to understand even when she is not crying - and she was aware he was in the pound on Friday as i told her via gumtree yet she emailed a reply to tell me she was collecting him Monday - I warned her then that there would be fees to pay which would increase - I don't think she understood though.
SDK lass very nice to deal with and said they would rehome him and not PTS but we all know that that has gone wrong in the past. It's a conundrum. If anyone needs a cheery sight then check out ID 63231 injured terriers new family photo (its the bottom one on the page with a lady and her son) its very heartening and only put on there a couple of hours ago so hot off the press. You will smile. Last edited: 2014-01-27 21:40:07 by Bo - 2014-01-27 21:30 Clare

- GillyP - Oooh lovely ref that house - do you do discounts? Puhi is quite small by all accounts - Yanushka showed Shelagh some photographs and he's smaller than a parsons, bigger than a Corgi. He came over from Bulgaria with her and has a pet passport etc. lives in a communal house though and their door is left slightly open and Puhi was used to wandering in Bulgaria. Not an ideal situation for them both but she loved him enough to bring him over. Just a bit tricky getting them back together. Last edited: 2014-01-27 21:26:10 by Bo

- All those who have offered help. Even if you have pledged money over the phone I will call SDK in the morning to tell them not to call people as I will do it once funds transferred to me. If you don't have Internet banking let me know as I'm sure they will take one or two cards over the phone xx

- GillyP - Please just ask them if they can hold Puhi till Thursday if need be and what his release fees will be. I'm asking Yanushka where she is doing her training as I am trying to pin her down in case we can organise something quicker. We can hold funds until that's clarified though I agree its quicker to transfer everything to GillyP money wise and one payment done. Just need your account number, name and sort code and I can transfer straight away or PayPal email reference.
- 2014-01-27 20:11 Unknown
- Think we need a tally up in the morning once spoken to SDK as there might be further kennel costs. Xx

- I'm happy to transfer too by PayPal or Bank transfer if need be. Just goes to show how amazing this is though as Yanushka, with very limited English, is confused and would probably have never seen her dog again.

I've got a meeting at 0900 till 1000 and then free to ring - unless someone else can ring when they open at 0900. - GillyP - what size feet are you? If you're a normal 5 I have a super pair you may have. I have wide feet (like hobbits) so they don't fit very well.
- 2014-01-27 16:19 Bo
- Yanushka will have to attend her interviews and training classes over the next 2 days or she loses her benefits (strict rules on claiming as we all know from the news).
PDSA are not able to help.
SDK cannot RV with Yanushka before 0800 or after hours. Yanushka lives in a communal house but no one allowed to accept Puhi on her behalf.
The only outcome I can see working is we get permission for Puhi to be held in Kennels for an extra 2 days - I am out of any other ideas which will be acceptable to the SdK. Shelagh is trying her best and will update us further when she gets home. - 2014-01-27 16:16 Unknown

- Right - Too late for dog drop today. Yanushka has an interview tomorrow for work in the morning in Central London at 1000 and a mandated training course in the afternoon. Shelagh is walking round to the PDSA vets now to ask if they will allow Puhi to be dropped off at 1500 ish tomorrow until Yanushka can get to PDSA to collect him after her training. SDK have £105 pledged so far including my £30. Shelagh will update later after she's got home. Last edited: 2014-01-27 15:41:57 by Bo

Shelagh not sure if we will incur the extra nights fee of £17.50. I've asked my partner to find out how much has been pledged so we have an idea as whats occurring. Will update when Shelagh rings me back. Or my fella tells me how much is pledged.

- 2014-01-27 14:28 Unknown
- Just spoken to SDK and they say its too late in the day. They cant just get to Redbridge and it be a five minute thing. She confirmed that he wont be PTS but put up for rehoming!. It will take at least a couple of hours for payments to go through, the dog warden to collect the dog and then meet somewhere in Redbridge.
- 2014-01-27 14:26 Bo
- Are you calling them or shall I? I've pledged my £30 and waiting for the payments lady to call me but nada!
- 2014-01-27 14:25 Bo
- They said he will be 7 days up tomorrow at 1700 and then we don't know what's happening with him as they cannot release that info.
- 2014-01-27 14:21 Unknown
- I have no idea Bo, i might call them see what's what. I am so confused with it all. I am presuming Shelagh and Yanushka are meeting in Redbridge and the warden will meet with them somewhere in Redbridge. When is his poor might due to be PTS?
- 2014-01-27 14:18 Bo
- GillyP - Are they taking payments now? I have no number for Shelagh and she's got hardly any credit on her phone so no idea what her and Yanushka have arranged. I text primopetsevices (Sarah) and she said one of their team had caught the dog last week and taken him to her house but he broke out of the garden... Could explain it? - Another question sorry, how was Phui found so far away? the dog warden was perplexed as well.
- 2014-01-27 14:11 Unknown
- So will the warden meet you in Redbridge with Phui if you take Yanushka with you.
- 2014-01-27 14:05 Bo
- Great thanks Shelagh - will they accept payments now? If (when you are together) you get stuck then just tell Yanushka to ring me as she has my number and you and I can speak as its easier. . It's getting late in the day timewise and I know SDK may have a cut off for dropping dogs off, as we had the same palaver over the homeless mans dog.
- 2014-01-27 14:00 Shelagh

- Is this dog going to be pts tomorrow if the money isn't paid or re-homed. I can contribute some if anyone else can too. I would need to know where to send the money though xx

- Just spoke to SdK - fee now £192.50 and he is time up tomorrow at 1700.

- Yanushka has no money - unemployed and speaks ok English but confused as to whats going on - I can contribute £30 towards his release but his fee is £179. No answer yet from tail wagers. SDK said his 7 days up is today so will move him on - this was a conversation I had yesterday with them and i haven't phoned them today yet. She's devastated. I've already contributed £100 towards the PTS dogs release, £79 for homeless man dogs release and £30 Carla Lanes dogs in need this month so no funds available till I get paid again. - I've just emailed tailwaggers with a brief synopsis of whats happened and a link to this page. (Thanks for the info Shelagh).

- How very sad that someone wants their dog back but cannot afford to get it out of the pound. Is there anything anyone can do to help this lady, surely there is some help out there. X
- 2014-01-26 22:51 Shelagh
- There is a place called tailwaggers club trust. They will help people on certain benefits and pensioners. The problem is I guess she will need to speak to them in person and it may be difficult for her.
- 2014-01-26 22:45 Bo
- No charity that I know of - I just emailed her to ask if Puhi's microchip was up to date.
- 2014-01-26 22:43 Shelagh
- Oh no what a shame. is there no charity that can help her? I'm unemployed also and no money till Friday. Could give small amount then.

Hello Laura, please help me get back my dog!!!!! Can you speak with them, because I have difficult with my payment . I was explain to you , I'm unemployed !!! Please help me!!!!
Can anyone help with this payment - I know it's a big ask. - 2014-01-26 21:24 Bo
- Yanushka does not speak very good English and although we mostly understood each other -I found it hard to explain that I wasn't the council - I asked of she had friends and family that could help but she's on her own here. I can contribute some money but not £179.
- 2014-01-26 21:18 Bo
- I rang SDK and specifically asked if he would be PTS and they said no, he would be rehomed. I've rung Yanushka back (she was crying) and she then rang me back to beg me not to let the council send him away. I said to her she needs to speak to them directly but to get back to me if she needs help. It's heart breaking I know but I've spent over £200 this month helping some of these dogs and I don't get paid until the 6th Feb. Yanushka's mobile number is on the gumtree link. I did say to the SdK girl (very helpful) that if he was PTS I would use my visa credit card but she said he wouldn't be.....Last edited: 2014-01-26 21:20:59 by Bo

- This dog obviously needs help if the owner can't afford the funds we don't want to find out that he's been put to sleep like Max the Akita x

- Unfortunately I just spoke to Yanushka and she cannot afford to get him out of the pound as its £179 and his last day tomorrow . I have no funds left to get him out. This dog is NOT REUNITED
- 2014-01-25 09:56 Shelagh
- That's great.stay safe now little puhi.
- 2014-01-25 07:22 Bo
- I just had an email from Yanushka via gumtree
"Hello, it's my dog!!!! Thank you so much! I come in Monday take back my dog! Thanks "
That one thanks to you spotting him Shelagh... One happy dog and owner will be reunited on Monday X

- Shelagh good spot on this potential match. I've text and emailed the gumtree link to let Yanushka know so hopefully its a match as you say. The markings are the same and the harness are a great sign its possibly Puhi.
- 2014-01-22 22:43 Shelagh
- Sorry clicked wrong thing. Think this dog is puhi. Different location but looks the same

- I think I would query the breed even if a cross! To my eyes it doesn't look as though it has GSD in it!!! Pleased to see that it has a chip and hopefully owners wil come forward for it. Last edited: 2014-01-22 18:42:22 by ClaireC
