I know this is probably a Very long shot but I met a dog just like this one at Helston boating lake in Cornwall one afternnon a few weeks back I remember her well so fixed on a ball game! Will definitely keep an eye out for her next time we are there. Im sure this is probably not yours given the distance but we will do our best to get a photo if we see her again. More eyes the better, don't give up!

Leah so much of what you said I feel to for my baby....

I worry so much about both our girls and understand the head all over the place but let me know when you re poster and will get a huge push on her again.

She has incredible support, her posts get so many shares, tweets get so many RT's we need some new sightings and so its good to re post for her.

Hello everyone. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and sharing. I've been sent many diff pics, links etc over Facebook and there have been some very similar. It's such a shame that so many are found and often the owners don't step forward! Wish I could save them all.
I want to get a pet detective on the case for Dee as they will know where to start with piecing together bits of what I call "evidence" . Where as I wouldn't have a clue where to start and don't drive so sitting and staking out addresses has been and is impossible when I've got my family and live so far away. The only thing I can think to do for Dee is a pet detective so I contacted one I thought would be reputable and not rip me off! This person had been in the papers. The replying I got was gnat they were too busy and not taking any more cases on?! Not even a waiting list.

If any one can point me in the right direction of a reputable detective I'd greatly appreciate this as too many claim to be good yet sit there doing naff all for hours and claim they were staking out an address! And charge large amount per hour. This is why is prefer to use a detective that's known.

My heads all over at the best of times but especially when it comes to Dee! She is a unique looking dog ... Face shape, eyes, colour, physique... It's so hard to think of her because I fear the worst ana it kills me inside. Since her disappearance I've not been able to get back in track! I pray she's with a nice family somewhere (if anything!! Obv want her back home but the thought of other scenarios worse make me ill!) it's hard for me to stay active in posting etc as the grieving literally nearly kills me off!! Rubbish at wordings things but I know what I mean. It seems posting her doesn't work.... Either get loads of people messaging about diff dogs (which is ace as can rule out but hurts like crazy and sends me in to depression when it's not her) or it keeps whoever may have her alert and to hide her away even more... That's how it feels 😓

I am going to get posting again but definitely feel that it does more good than bad as if someone's hiding her then they know my movements and to hide her. Xx

Liz sadly not...two reasons..Leah would/will fight all the way for Dee and the found baby still has nobody stepping up for her. They have extended to another 7 days though which I have only ever seen once before...Lets hope eh?

I loath bsl and just hope the found baby's owner will be 'man' enough!!

Dee is similar but the face white is wrong and she only has white feet not up her back legs. She was a lot lighter but we all know that can change but the found mite isn't her. Please keep looking xx

Bless you Pat.... Dee I help (Pup 60130 is my baby) and keep a real eye out for to for her Mum. She was 15 months when she was stolen so may have matured, be less leggy all kinds of things but thankfully her markings may still be very much the same.....

Do you remember the lab baby from Australia? Missing a while but less than Dee & Pup but the changes were so noticeable, and remember lovely Bramble? She looked like a different dog too....Its a worry (especially with Pup as she was just under 5 months when stolen and we don't know what changed she will have made).

We do cross check for Dee and Pup but please I should like to see the one your saying about as especially Pup will have coat changes and changed again if not brushed or clipped out.....Dee is very short haired but her colour may have changed too ...... The one below though had not got Dee's ear set or markings. Its easier when they have the wrong chip number ;-) xx

It was a genuine sighting of Dee by someone who actually knows her!!!

Claire and Leah I am too far to help on the ground but you both know I care about this baby so much....I have emailed posters and info to all Vets in that area, reminded dog wardens obviously, Taxi companies and bus stations, Train offices and begged them to put a poster up.....

Told them I can send one and have got a load printed, some laminated, and will post them too...

Its all I can do from 350 miles away but please know I will share and tweet the hell out of her too....I so wish I were near enough to actually help.....xx

Reading the part about the dog thief and police not willing to do anything, in that case if your house is burgled do they also need a photo of the scum doing that? Unbelievable. Personally I would take it to a higher police authority ie chief inspector by letter recorded delivery and your mp if you do know who has her. Surely he could be questioned about receiving stolen goods at least.

Thank you all for the support! I have updated Dee's number on here and I check every post, link and lead out. I get my hopes up and then left very disappointed. It's very bizarre that no pups have come about with her colouring!

The police won't do anything. There are 2 addresses the guy lives/goes to. Had people sighting her for 4 nights in a row and then nothing these past few nights. Whether they have seen my postings so are bow,hiding her? I don't know.
Or all these people have been seeing a diff dog?! People do keep sending pics of dogs that look nothing like her so the possibility that the sightings are of her.... Aren't 100%

How far away from you is the suspect? can you not visit area (stake out) and obtain visual evidence?.. being careful of course.

Hi Leah. You say 'dog thief' so I assume Dee was reported as stolen and you have a crime number? The reason I ask is I recently received a government response to a petition I signed a while ago and they confirm that dog thief is a criminal offence, so they must do something about it. As has already been said, all they need to do is scan the chip. This is the reply I got re the petition. 'The e-petition 'Pet Theft - Tougher Penalites to Deter.' signed by you recently reached 13,508 signatures and a response has been made to it.

As this e-petition has received more than 10 000 signatures, the relevant Government department have provided the following response: The Government takes all crime, including the theft of a pet, very seriously, recognising that it can cause a great deal of distress to those owners whose pets are stolen. However, the Government does not believe it is necessary to create a new offence in order to do this, as such behaviour is already criminal. The theft of a dog constitutes a criminal offence under section 1 of the Theft Act, 1968 and asking for money for its return could constitute blackmail under section 21 of that Act. When sentencing, the court would take into account the particular harm caused to the owner, in addition to all the other relevant circumstances of the offence. Furthermore, anyone who steals and mistreats a pet could be in breach of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 of which the maximum penalty is a fine of £20,000 and/or 6 months imprisonment. For those reasons, the Government has no plans to introduce separate offences of dog theft or dog kidnapping. As part of its reforms for promoting more responsible dog ownership, Government has introduced plans for the microchipping of all dogs in England by April 2016, which may help to deter such thefts from occurring in the first place. Microchipping of all dogs will help owners recover lost or stray dogs, including, potentially, dogs that are stolen. This e-petition remains open to signatures and will be considered for debate by the Backbench Business Committee should it pass the 100 000 signature threshold.'

Can the police help? As Chris said all she needs is a scan for a chip ..... What about the Dogslost coordinator for that area? Might be worth asking.... actually will do that for you anyway.

Could you not ask this guy if he would mind someone scanning the dog for a microchip and remind him there is a reward. Surely there is someone who could give you some advice if you believe this guy has got your dog. X

Dee has been seen with a guy who fits the description of the dog thief who I was told about weeks ago. She's been seen walking with him by numerous people. And she's been seen running the streets near where he lives and. Near the farm his girlf lives at.
The police say they can't so anything without a photo of him with Dee.
I've knocked on and questioned them for him to deny it.
What can I do?!

Just ring and if they say no ask to go and see for your self or get them to send you a picture Leah. Why do you think they will lie though?

She is chipped so remind them of that as well.

I went to Manchester Dogs home today to see if the American Bulldog found yesterday was Dee. It wasn't :(
