I am so very sorry to read this tragic news. I thought that Network Rail who I am told, bring in a company who are supposed to bring along a scanner to check for chips when they collect an animal! This is supposed to happen here in Bucks but sadly the company do not always bring their scanner with them which is why we are in the process of getting a scanner for Network Rail here in Bucks. I feel this is worth pursuing to Network Rail on what seems to be unprofessional handling in my own personal opinion. RIP Joe xx

Sad news im afraid. Had a call from lady who works for network rail and saw posters in shirley. Told me a dog was hit by a train on 27th, evening Joe went missing. Trying to get some info off Network rail but no luck yet. Totally discusted with them as Joe was chipped and had a tag on collar.

Not sure why a chip wouldn't have been picked up though.

Owner struggling with the internet. Received the following message from owner - We have checked the shed and other peoples sheds and garages etc. We have also walked around where he is usually walked and several miles around it and have drove round areas he might know. We have also rang the local dog warden, have checked dogs homes and have put posters up but none has even reported a sighting of him.
