- hi, we have been chasing some facebook info.
first message a lad in speenymoor had the dog next message he had sold it on.after a bit of investigation found out details of the lad.he said the dog he sold collie cross?????huuumm is he just saying that as he lives 600 yds from where laddie lost and within 200 yds of laddies home .looking into further.also facebook sighting a lad said this dog was o/s west cornforth news agents Monday some kids came out and walked off. over cornforth yesterday looking, asking leaving my cards in shops and with folks. some builders said there as a young thick set lad with a black whippet with a lot of grey on.they are going to watch out for him and let us know. pointed out quick identification was his kink in his tail. going to poster the high street if they kids the reward may help. getting excited at the first one.but why did the lass post on laddies facebook page??and where the lad lives close to where lost and his home will look into further.could he of paniced and said anything if he thought he was in bother??? - 2014-02-18 14:51 davidh

- COMMENT ON DOG THEFT AWARENESS COUNTY DURHAM FB PAGE...
Glynis Redfearn
The dog looked like a sandy coloured lurcher type dog it was on the pavement laid down. A arriva bus and two wagons were parked up. The police were there so ring spenny moor or newton aycliffe stations they might know who took the dog.

(Just to explain, I do the photographing for whippet racing and keep a database of dogs photos, hence me posting) thanks to those helping and who have made amendments so info is corrct.

- Sorry to see that LADDIE is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (63830)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
