Toby was found under a bush not far from owners work. He had been hit by a car and he was picked up by the RSPCA and taken to the vets. Owner got there but he died in his sleep that night. Probably from shock. RIP Toby.

The reason I did not offer to help with this one in the first place is that we can't really track from Whittington Moor roundabout. We would be following a scent across some horrendous roads, it would be too dangerous for us. Wispa hates fast traffic, she will cope with it up to a point but we draw the line at the A61 bypass. I believe there have been possible sightings towards Brimington and Staveley but will check the latest tomorrow. Helper Chrissie is in touch with owner. The best way forward here is maximum postering and publicity. Toby disappeared from his owner's workplace, which I believe is on one of the industrial estates round Sheepbridge. If there are definite sightings away from Whittington Moor, we will help if we can.

Do you know which way he was heading? Which way is home?
Maybe 'Owl and Wispa could help

Toby is still missing, we think he was on his way back home but we are not sure what happened to him. Lots of people are helping the owner out. Hopefully he will be put out on the radio soon and I have advised a ad in the paper.

Any news on Toby> I've shared on facebook and had a drive round. I assume all the vets in the area have been contacted. the nearest to there is Spire vets - 01246 455333. Also try Broomhill Kennels 01246 345345 which is where found dogs are taken and only about 1 mile from there.

Thanks Alison x
Toby always accompanies his owner to his workplace but on this occasion he ventured off which he has never done before. Several members of the public tried to catch him but he ran off and was seen to be hit by a car and thought to have been limping afterwards .
Hopefully he will try to make his way back to his owners work place .
His owners have reported him as missing to the dog warden and have contacted all local vets etc and are postering the area.
The microchip company have also been informed.
Hoping Toby is back home very soon xLast edited: 2014-02-07 10:00:12 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
