- Thank you all so so much! I can't tell you how much your advice and support helped and gave us hope! My little girl would only go to sleep when I promised that people were helping us and that they knew what they were talking about! People are so kind it really has been horrendous but it just shows what lovely people there are.
My partner, mum and I stayed in the woods till 1am ish just because we hated thinking of her on her own out there! But knew we wouldn't find her at that time in the pitch black, so at around 7am the next morning my partner and I went back. As we drove up the hill from Aldbury we saw a lovely lady walking her dogs and stopped the car, she asked if we had list a dog!! Oh my god I said yes yes yes and she said is she wearing a pink harness and I said yes!!! She told us she has spotted her a few minutes ago in a garden a few metres up the road and so I ran out of the car and into someone's garden (sorry to whose garden it was!) and saw her shivering in the corner under some bushes- before I even called her name she ran and literally jumped in my arms (very wet, shaking and squeaking) but totally unharmed! I can't begin to tell you how relieved and happy we are!
I want to say a HUGE HIGE thank you to dog lost and everyone who posted and commented it is truly truly appreciated! THANK YOU from all of us and a very happy warm Maizy! I feel for all those still missing a dog I now know how horrendous it is but don't give up- they are stronger than you think! - so pleased with news just abt to take 100 posters out with Riley.....just spoken to family member and it seems a lady was walking her 2 dogs early and they spotted little Maizy but her dogs spooked her a bit so she advised owners who went out at first light to the spot and called her and she came out of hidey hole.
The power of DOG LOST works again...have asked that they put their own story on here but as folk asking for info have just posted briefly.
stay safe little girlie xxxfrom Riley - 2014-02-08 08:59 Kay9

- On another post it says she was lost at the top of Tom's Hill so will cover that area too, Tin of sardines at the ready! Leona, does she like other dogs or is she scared of other dogs? Also when you go walking does she tend to follow the paths or go rummaging in the bushes off the path? Where were y x

- In absence of any more precise information on where she went missing, I'll be looking from Brownlow Cafe down towards Albury. She might smell the cooking and cafe and come to investigate so I'll give them a copy of her poster.

- Leave an item of clothing with your scent on it where you last saw her. Make sure you keep checking back to that spot - it is very common for dogs to make their way back to where they last saw their owner. Keeping everything crossed for you x

- Hi Leona, I'll go up to Ashridge with my Whippet tomorrow morning first thing we know the woods round that area well, it's near Toms Hill the area your talking about the road out of Albury up to the tight bends, there are a few houses up that road so she may have found a barn or shed to shelter in dogs are pretty sensible.
